I barely manage to teleport before his attack would have struck me. The python and monkey rush towards him, displacing earth and forest alike. The python reaches him first, it lunges at him, but another gigantic pillar of flame rises where he is, which is also where the python is lunging towards.
It passes through the pillar, exiting on the other side with heavy burns and wounds. It roars in anger as the monkey barely manages to stop its momentum and not enter the pillar.
Rank 6 Immortal Blood Python Gu has greater speed and power than rank 6 Immortal Golden Monkey Gu, but the latter has greater durability compared to the former.
As soon as the pillar expires so too does the fire immortal reappear. He erupts in flames, disappears, and then a moment later reappears a small distance away from the two mount type gu worms.
By now the entire landscape has been destroyed beyond recognition. Anything that's not on fire is instead smashed to tiny bits, whether it be rock, tree or river. There's nowhere left for the immortal to hide, not anymore.
He starts flying upwards the second he's reappeared, the monkey and python rush towards him once again. The first to arrive this time is the monkey, it jumps towards him, but fails to grab him as he flies further into the sky. The python stops in its tracks, before coiling around itself and leaping at the immortal.
It also misses, and gets a fireball flung at it for good measure. The fireball doesn't damage it much, but it does make it even angrier than it already was.
Another use of that immortal, for it can be nothing else, killer move that makes the giant pillar of flames would be more than enough to kill the python. A second passes, then another, and then another, during which the immortal does not use that killer move.
He's either out of immortal essence or that killer move has a short range and he needs to be close for it to work. The latter does not make any sense, no one would be stupid enough to go fight without preparations, so the former must be true.
Using a killer move of my own on him is not out of the question now, he is just barely in range of me, but anything capable of harming him in any fashion would deplete almost all of my primeval essence.
I have two extreme physique apertures, which regenerate primeval essence at an absurd pace. Third Watch Gu has made that absurd pace outright ridiculous. Staying hidden after attacking him until I completely regenerate all of my primeval essence is an option, but if I am wounded in any manner- A miniature sun appears above the immortal.
There is no other word for it, that thing is a literal sun. One second there was nothing there, now there's a mountain sized ball of fire. I grit my teeth as I feel myself start to heat up, the bits of the trashed forest underneath us that weren't on fire turn into a blazing inferno in less than a second.
I'm good for a few minutes and the immortal gu are too strong to be affected by flames like this, but tha- A second sun appears. I teleport in front of the immortal, before immediately using my strongest attack possible.
Rank 5 Blood Moon Gu consumes all of the primeval essence I have in the first of my apertures and a quarter from my second. The presence of a rank 5 Light Gu boosts its power, rank 3 Amplify Effect Gu boosts it even more. More auxiliary gu worms use up the rest of my primeval essence, and both of my extreme physiques increase the power of the killer move even more.
Halfway in the activation of my killer move a burst of flames is thrown at me. I grit my teeth as I feel everything I am burn. The second the killer move is complete and a bloody moonblade with the strength to harm even an immortal is thrown at him I teleport away, just in time for my left hand to detach from my shoulder and fall down.
I use a Yang Gu, which both turns me into a man and fully heals me. Another teleport dodges yet another burst of flames, I hide my aura and make myself invisible before he can locate me and throw another.
With the danger passed I finally have the time to see whether I wounded him. A long, but not deep, slash is present on his chest. Despite the shallowness of the wound, it is bleeding profusely. The blood immediately boils away and turns to steam, so it would be more accurate to say the wound is steaming blood.
I smile as a third sun appears, a smile that is wiped off of my face as a burst of flames heals away the wound. I teleport to the hiding spot of my single remaining gu immortal. Deep underground, deep enough to be protected from the blazing inferno above, a twenty year old man and I stand in a dug out chamber.
This fight has been a stalemate. I can't use any killer moves capable of doing any meaningful damage to him, the blood python and golden monkey are too immobile to reach him when he is flying in the sky. If I linger he'll just burn away everything.
At the start of the fight he was definitely just trying to conserve immortal essence, probably even trying to wound the python enough to refine and steal it. Once he had no more cover he just decided to burn everything away.
My gu immortal slave uses an immortal killer move to retrieve the python and monkey from the land above, before pulling me into his aperture.

I activate rank 3 Stone Aperture Gu, which does nothing other than turn the walls of my apertures into stone and cripple me. I have two extreme physiques, I'll get better, but for now that will take ages to heal properly.
Once the walls are healed I'll use rank 3 Aperture Shatter Gu to cripple them again, delaying my forced breakthrough to rank 4 even more.
Both of my apertures are now at rank 3 peak stage, which considering that both are apertures of extreme physiques is not entirely good. Extreme physiques cultivate forcefully, and they cultivate fast. The higher the rank, the faster my apertures will advance. I need a more permanent bandaid, one that can actually last indefinitely.
I can think of a few solutions, most of which will need either immortal gu worms or a top tier mortal killer move, the type that only a gu immortal with infinite primeval essence can use.

AN:
A bit of bad news, we're going on a short break. Not actually a hiatus though.
I want to get Mephistophelian Cultivation some chapters for patreon, once I got that backlog for it going this is going to start getting updated again >.>.
PS:
This chapter would have been longer, but I got some discord drama and lost track of time eating popcorn, sorry xd.
