BOOM!
The explosion rippled through the air, scattering black ichor like rain. Venom's body twisted in agony, his tendrils shredded by the shockwave.
"Damn it! That attack hurts!" he snarled, retreating a few steps. His entire body quivered with rage. "This kid's attacks aren't normal!"
Before Ryuuto could answer, the Green Goblin came swooping down on his glider, a manic grin splitting his face.
"Try dodging this, brat! Pumpkin grenades—go!"
Dozens of burning orange orbs scattered through the air. Thick smoke filled the night, and in that chaos, Goblin gave Venom a quick, knowing glance.
Venom got the message immediately. His eyes gleamed, and he turned—not toward Ryuuto, but toward the fleeing civilians Gwen had escorted out earlier.
Too bad for him, a flash of steel intercepted his path.
"Silly monster," Ryuuto said coldly, twin blades gleaming with red light. "You're not going anywhere. You're mine."
He vanished.
The grenades exploded behind him, lighting up the sky—but none even brushed his coat.
In the next instant, Ryuuto appeared in front of Venom, blade slashing upward. Venom barely blocked with his arm, the impact sending a shockwave through the air.
"Enough!" Venom roared, completely losing it. "I'll tear you apart!"
The two clashed fiercely, steel against slime, speed against brute power. Every hit rattled the building foundations.
Up above, Green Goblin was losing his mind. "You idiot! Stick to the plan!" He slammed his fist against his glider, sparks flying. "Fine! If you won't listen, then die with him!"
"Funny," Gwen's voice cut through the air like a whip. "You were doing fine until you opened your mouth."
She dropped down from above, a streak of white web following her. Before Goblin could aim his laser gauntlet, Gwen's web wrapped around his wrist and jerked it upward—the blast shot harmlessly into the sky.
"You again?! Damn Spider-Man copycat!" Goblin howled.
"I prefer Gwen." She fired another web, locking down his glider's thrusters.
Goblin screeched, the machine wobbling. "You dare—! You'll die with that brat!"
"Talk less, lose faster!"
Gwen yanked hard, pulling the glider into a nosedive. The Goblin barely stabilized before unleashing a storm of laser beams that cut through the night like wild auroras.
Meanwhile, Ryuuto had forced Venom onto the defensive, sand swirling under his feet. Each strike left gaping holes in Venom's armor-like flesh.
If not for that absurd regeneration, he'd already be paste.
"Still standing?" Ryuuto smirked. "You're durable, I'll give you that."
Venom bared his fangs. "You think mud and tricks can stop me?!"
The ground trembled.
Earth Style: Earth Flow Split!
Ryuuto slammed his hand to the ground, sending a wall of sand and mud crashing toward him.
Venom roared and leapt into the air, trying to escape—
"Got you," Ryuuto said with a grin.
Wood Style: Eternal Binding Burial!
The floor erupted into a storm of roots and vines, twisting around Venom like serpents. He struggled, screamed, but the harder he fought, the tighter they constricted.
Within seconds, he was completely cocooned—only his furious eyes visible.
"Coward!" Venom spat. "Let me go and fight fair!"
"Why would I waste time on you?" Ryuuto replied, his voice calm and cold. "You're already just another sad ending in my story."
He raised both palms.
Dust Release: World Disintegration!
A blinding light consumed Venom.
When it faded, there wasn't even dust left. Only silence.
For a few seconds, even the night stopped breathing.
"...He's gone?"
The Green Goblin froze midair, eyes wide, mouth slack. "Venom's... dead?"
"Don't worry," a voice said above him. "You're next."
Gwen dove from the sky, firing webs in rapid bursts. A boulder—where the hell did she get a boulder—followed right behind.
"None of you can stop me!" Goblin screamed, firing his lasers wildly. The beams tore through the web lines and detonated the rock midair.
Shrapnel sprayed everywhere. A few sharp fragments hit his face and eyes, making him howl in pain.
"Can't see, huh?" Gwen's smirk was pure fire. "My turn!"
Her fist—pink-gloved and furious—slammed into his jaw.
CRACK!
Goblin spun through the air, blood spraying from his mouth.
"Heh. I'll add the finisher," Ryuuto said, appearing beside her.
His heel flared with chakra.
Leaf Great Whirlwind!
The kick connected square with Goblin's face, sending him crashing into his own glider, the machine exploding beneath him in a shower of flame and metal.
The two heroes stood side by side under the burning sky, smoke and sand curling around them.
Another night, another city saved—and another villain erased from Ryuuto's story.
