Selene's POV
Warmth.
It was the first thing I felt.
A soft bloom of heat rose gently inside my chest as Adrian stepped out of the room and the door closed behind him. It spread like a feather touched by sunlight, drifting through me with a strange familiarity. My breath caught, and for a moment I simply stood there, feeling it expand through my mind and body.
It felt like something… waking.
Not painful.
Not frightening.
But ancient.
And mine.
Lucian immediately noticed the change in my expression. He stepped closer, his brows furrowed with concern.
"Selene," he said softly. "What happened? What are you feeling?"
I blinked and let out a gentle breath. "I am not sure… but it felt warm. Like something touched my mind. Something waking inside me. But it does not feel bad. It feels… comforting."
Lucian held my face in his hands and searched my eyes. "Are you certain you are fine?"
I nodded. "Yes. Truly."
