Taeryn hated this.
Rihan kept pushing him away, and it was driving him insane.
Why couldn't Rihan understand he wasn't going anywhere?
Why couldn't he see Taeryn wanted him... only him?
Was he not making it obvious enough?
Right now, Rihan's face was flushed, his hazel eyes flicking over Taeryn's like he was dissecting every thought in his skull. But Taeryn was an open book. He'd made it clear over and over again that Rihan was his detective, and he had no intention of letting go.
The silence gnawed at him.
"Do you think I'm lying?" Taeryn asked, pulling his face back a little, confusion tightening his brows. "You could do anything to me. Anything. And I'd be thrilled. Grateful even. But don't ask me to walk away from you. That's the one thing I won't do for you."
