Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Beginning of the Journey Toward the Red Dome Dungeon

After Zukaro and his army fought against the Dabb Beasts and defeated them all, Zukaro advanced forward, his destination set toward the King and his guards.

But outside, a Dome Dungeon of rank (F) appeared. The matter reached the village guild master, but he needed more hunters — about twenty-three in total. He contacted the Hunters Guild headquarters in the neighboring village, but they couldn't provide any help. The guild master himself was an F-rank, along with seven hunters of the same rank.

He couldn't do anything. Entering the Dome Dungeon would mean certain death for them. They needed a much larger number.

After about half an hour, inside the forest, Zukaro, his army, and Diaz stood before the King of the Dabb Beasts.

The King of the Dabb Beasts was enormous — around four meters tall — and each of his four guards stood about three meters high. Zukaro could sense the power within each of them.

Zukaro smiled and said:

"General Haidar… eliminate them all."

General Haidar stepped forward with steady strides toward the Dabb Beasts.

A strong wind blew, but within moments the beasts launched at him with rapid claw attacks, leaving fierce gusts of wind behind them.

However, General Haidar's movements were balanced.

With a quick spinning leap and a firm sword strike, he sliced through all the Dabb Beasts in an instant.

The King of the Dabb Beasts let out a tremendous roar, and Zukaro quickly covered his ears and shouted:

"Diaz! Cover your ears!"

Diaz covered his ears swiftly.

The King of the Dabb Beasts exhaled something like smoke and, with blinding speed, dashed toward Zukaro.

Zukaro slid backward across the ground in a fast retreat.

The King of the Dabb Beasts glared at him and said:

"Listen, you're the king, aren't you? I won't face insects — fight me yourself!"

Zukaro smiled coldly:

"Ah… really? Then so be it. But remember, you'll never defeat me… I'm stronger than you."

The King of the Dabb Beasts charged at him with devastating speed, but Zukaro struck him with a swift kick to the back of his head, sending him crashing to the ground and shaking the earth.

Zukaro glanced at Haidar and said:

"General Haidar… give me your sword. I'll finish this dungeon right now."

The King of the Dabb Beasts rose again and sprinted toward Zukaro at full speed.

Zukaro advanced to meet him with all his strength, while Haidar threw his sword toward Zukaro through the air.

At that moment, Zukaro noticed the sword flying above.

He leaped with all his might, catching it midair.

He immediately felt its immense power and weight — it was incredibly strong.

Zukaro spun in midair, launching himself toward the beast.

Within a second, he cleaved its body horizontally in two, and his sword struck the ground with great force, causing a violent tremor across the area.

Diaz stood in shock at what had happened, then quickly rushed toward the Dabb Beasts to take the Core Stone.

Then Zukaro looked at his army and said:

"All of you, return… your mission is over for today."

The entire army began to fade away, like static interference, as the digital particles of the system fragmented and disappeared completely amid a glowing blue light.

Moments later, the darkness over the entire forest vanished.

Zukaro and Diaz were astonished — the darkness that had covered the whole forest had dissipated.

Zukaro recalled that this time it happened faster, or perhaps that day he simply hadn't noticed the time.

Afterward, Diaz picked up the bag, and they both returned the way they came.

The villagers were shocked. Everyone was amazed — how could only two people complete the entire mission?

The news reached the head of the village's guild.

When he learned that the darkness covering the forest had disappeared, he was stunned and ran toward the site, waiting anxiously to see whether they would emerge or not.

Everyone waited for the moment the two heroes — the ones who ended this calamity — would appear.

Many hunters had died from their families.

After a few moments, both Zukaro and Diaz appeared.

Everyone cheered for them, and Zukaro smiled in return to their greeting.

The head of the village hunters' guild looked at them and stepped forward, saying:

"I thank you on behalf of the entire village… please, come to my office so we can talk."

Zukaro and Diaz went to the guild headquarters, where the office was located.

A few minutes after their arrival, they sat down as the guild master hosted them.

The guild master stepped forward and said:

"I haven't introduced myself before… my name is Javel."

Both Zukaro and Diaz greeted him politely. Zukaro said:

"My name is Zukaro, and this is my friend Diaz… do you need something from us?"

Javel smiled and replied:

"Sorry if I'm troubling you, but could you help me? The beasts of the Dome Dungeon are of rank F, and I need your strength."

Zukaro looked at him coldly and asked:

"How much will you offer us? One hundred thousand, full amount?"

Javel answered with a sharp look:

"Yes, one hundred thousand Aluro. And I'll also pay you for the stones if you wish to sell them… how about one hundred and fifty thousand Aluro?"

Diaz was stunned and shouted:

"You'll pay us one hundred and fifty thousand Aluro!? That's a huge amount!"

Zukaro replied calmly:

"Alright… I'll enter the dungeon to fight. I'll crush those insects quickly."

After a short time of negotiation, Diaz and Zukaro left the guild headquarters, heading toward the Dome Dungeon.

Zukaro turned to Diaz and said:

"There's no need for you to interfere. You've fought enough… leave this to me."

Diaz didn't quite understand what was happening, but he realized Zukaro didn't want to involve him, so he simply said:

"Alright… be careful."

Zukaro entered the Dome Dungeon with Javel and seven F-rank hunters.

He could sense their power, and their numbers were very large.

A small screen appeared around his left eye, calculating their strength, then a square display appeared in front of him.

Thab beasts, fox-like in appearance, extremely fast, leaping at their prey with lightning strikes.

New Mission:

If you can defeat this entire group, you will earn 112,800 points and 10% of each beast's power.

Reminder: Don't forget to claim your reward from the previous mission.

Zukaro stepped forward steadily and said:

"Listen to me! Cover my back. I'll fight all these beasts myself."

Javel froze in place:

"Are you insane? That's impossible!"

Zukaro smiled:

"I said cover my back… because I'll lead the front line. Get ready, there are about 79 beasts."

Everyone prepared for battle. Before the Thab beasts appeared, and as soon as they did, Zukaro surged forward with blinding speed.

A blue glow emanated from his hand, forming a red dagger.

His steps were smooth and coordinated, cutting down the Thab beasts one by one.

Everyone watched, unable to blink, as he moved with incredible speed. After every defense, his speed doubled, slicing through the creatures like they were mere pieces of meat.

Within a minute, he had slain all the Thab beasts alone.

The hunters were astonished, and one of them asked:

"I wonder what rank he is…"

Javel replied:

"He's cautious about revealing it… his skill and strength are immense. But having someone like him helping us? That's truly fortunate."

Zukaro advanced with Javel and the hunters.

He wished he hadn't recalled the army—he could have used them and finished this dungeon much faster.

But he stopped. The beasts were gathering in one spot.

"Facing them all together will be difficult… I'll need to separate them. Damn you, system! Killing beasts in such numbers is insane, but I have no choice."

He decided to sit and wait for some of them to come out. After a few minutes, a large number, about 200, emerged.

Zukaro smirked at himself:

"What a foolish idiot… after this count, I'll have to fight all of them with my full strength."

He shouted loudly and surged forward with all his power, unleashing a flurry of rapid and devastating attacks, cutting down the Thab beasts one after another. No Thab beast could keep up with him.

His movements and flips were fast, perfectly synchronized with each attack. After 11 minutes, he had torn them all apart, utterly exhausted.

Power boost, instant energy, absolute fatigue recovery.

Minutes later, Zukaro felt renewed strength. He turned to Javel and said:

"Will you extract the Heartstone Core? I'll continue fighting at the front."

Javel replied:

"Alright, but be careful."

Zukaro advanced, finding all the Thab beasts guarding a massive, dark cavern.

He addressed them:

"If you're guarding your king like this, I'll put an end to you."

Zukaro surged toward the Thab beasts with coordinated steps, tearing through them rapidly as if they were insects.

Minutes later, a deafening roar echoed like a lion. Zukaro looked ahead — the Thab King emerged.

It looked humanoid, standing on two legs, resembling a werewolf.

The Thab King lunged at Zukaro, striking rapidly left, right, up, and down.

But Zukaro dodged every attack with movements perfectly synchronized with the enemy's strikes, identifying the king's weaknesses.

Within minutes, Zukaro gripped his dagger tightly, sprinted at incredible speed, performed a spinning flip, and sliced the king's head from his body, sending it crashing to the ground.

Javel and the hunters approached, only to find that Zukaro had cleared the entire Dome Dungeon alone.

That's good — the army's strength has increased even more.

Though their level is still low, it doesn't matter.

At this level, I can still fight.

A few minutes later, Zokaro exited the Dome Dungeon and stopped by the guild headquarters.

Javil transferred 150,000 Aluro into Zokaro's bank account.

After that, Zokaro and Diaz went to a hotel to stay the night and planned to leave the next morning.

As he rested, Zokaro thought to himself:

How did I end up in this world?

I must become stronger and stronger — rise to a level far beyond what I once had.

All he could see before him was one goal — to grow stronger.

Once he achieved that, he could do anything… and protect his family.

Early the next morning, Zokaro and Diaz woke up and had breakfast.

Diaz asked,

"Are we leaving? Are we heading somewhere new?"

Zokaro replied,

"Yes, so get ready."

After some time, they got into the car and drove off.

But soon, the vehicle began to slow down on its own.

Zokaro didn't understand what was happening until the car stopped in front of a small town.

He got out to look for a mechanic and finally found one.

"Excuse me, sir, could you fix my car? Something's wrong with it."

The mechanic followed him to the car. After a few minutes of checking, he said quickly,

"Sorry, but it'll take some time to repair."

Zokaro frowned — he wanted to move fast, and the car wasn't even his.

"Alright… how long will it take?"

The mechanic replied,

"About five days."

As Zokaro was thinking about what to do, he suddenly heard screams echoing through the town.

He and the mechanic ran toward the source of the noise.

There were many wounded hunters — and a little boy crying, screaming,

"Mom! Dad!"

Villagers were trying to calm him down and keep him from running toward the chaos.

Zokaro turned to the mechanic and asked,

"What's happening over there?"

The mechanic pointed ahead.

"Look — that glowing beam from the red clouds to the red dome…

Inside it, monsters appear from time to time. They've killed a huge number of our people.

We contacted the hunters' guild, but no one came.

That boy's parents — both hunters — went inside to stop the monsters, but… it seems they didn't make it out."

Zokaro looked at the boy and approached him.

"Hey, kid. What's your name? How old are you?"

Through his tears, the boy answered,

"My name's Kevin… I'm six years old."

Zokaro knelt beside him and said,

"Listen… I don't think my car stopping here was an accident.

It was fate — your luck.

I'll destroy that dome and bring your parents back.

So gather your courage… and don't cry anymore."

The boy wiped his tears and said,

"Okay… but will you really save my parents?"

Zokaro smiled.

"Of course I will — I'm a strong man."

He stood up, gazing at the red dome in the distance, and decided to move forward.

Diaz called out behind him,

"Let me come with you. I won't let you go alone — we're a team!"

Zokaro smiled with determination.

"Let's go then. Stay behind me and watch your back."

Warning:

The Red Dome Dungeon portal will transport you to another world where the Beast King resides.

You must defeat him.

There are also many monsters of various ranks inside.

If you want to survive, start by defeating Rank D monsters to raise your level,

grow stronger, and prepare for the greater beasts — and finally, the king himself.

You will earn 1,000 points for every monster defeated, plus 10% of its strength.

Good luck.

If the situation becomes too dangerous… run.

But Zokaro never turned back.

He chose to keep moving toward the red dome — determined to bring back the boy's parents,

so the child wouldn't end up an orphan… just as he once was.
