Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Rise of the Warring Army

On a bright morning in the city of Newsel, a towering skyscraper dominated the center — the Guild of Judgment, the highest guild in the land. Its authority set the standards for weapons and issued rulings over the hunters.

Into that building walked the guildmaster, Dieramis. His appearance was ordinary: lined face, white hair, white beard and mustache, clear skin, and eyes full of wisdom and steadiness. He was seventy-nine years old — once a legendary hunter in his prime, now counted among the elite.

He was seated alone in his office when a knock sounded at the door.

— Come in. Who is it? — Dieramis called.

The door opened and Kildar stepped inside.

— Good day, sir... I'm sorry to bother you, — Kildar said.

Dieramis smiled with a calm look.

— It's all right... Speak. If you came here, there must be something important, yes?

Kildar took a few steps forward.

— Sir, we have a problem... About a hundred and fifty people have died after taking up illegal hunting work, and we must track those responsible and put an end to it.

Dieramis turned in his chair and stared at the sky beyond the window.

— Frankly, this is what occupies my mind most right now. A Red Dome dungeon appeared a month ago, and our guild's hunters can't handle it alone... I must cooperate with the other guilds, but they refused. What worries me most is that the dome hasn't disappeared; the monsters keep coming and going.

He added,

— Many hunters have fought for that small town but to no avail. We need elite hunters — roughly a hundred A-rank hunters — to finish it.

Kildar's eyes widened and sweat pricked his brow.

— But sir, we must rescue those people and evacuate the area... or let me go.

Dieramis turned to him with a sharp look.

— Do you think you alone, or even a few hunters, can end that Red Dome dungeon? Even the townspeople refuse to abandon their homes... Unless a miracle happens and someone can close that dungeon.

Kildar clenched his fist helplessly.

— What shall we do now, sir?

Dieramis replied,

— We must wait for a decision on cooperation from both the Dawn Guild... and the Tiger Guild.

The atmosphere was tense; the threat from the Red Dome dungeon hung over the village — no one knew how it had appeared, and it still had not vanished.

Far away, in a small village, Zokaro and Diaz finally arrived. They walked through the neighborhood after parking their car outside; the lanes were too narrow for vehicles.

Zokaro was looking for the village hunters' guildhall. An elderly man passed by and Zokaro stopped him.

— Hello, sir... Could you please tell me where the guildhall is?

The old man answered,

— Go down the road to the end of the block, then turn right and you'll find it... Are you a hunter, young man? I advise you to stay away from this place — many hunters have died in that forest... Goodbye. I wish you a safe life.

Zokaro and Diaz kept walking, but Diaz's hands were trembling with fear.

— Zokaro... are you sure about this? You said it's a Class-E dungeon.

Zokaro smiled and said,

— Don't worry. Everything will be fine... I'll finish those monsters and we'll return.

Many thoughts raced through Zokaro's mind: hunters undoubtedly came here for the reward — whoever defeats the monsters takes 100,000 Aloro. That's why lower-rank hunters volunteer, and their ends come quickly. It didn't matter to him; he could finish it alone with the army — an army he possessed in full.

A few minutes later they reached the village guildhall: a flimsy rural house. Zokaro entered and Diaz followed behind. Inside were several hunters. A clerk stepped forward.

— Hello, sir. What are you looking for?

Zokaro answered,

— I'm looking for the guildmaster. I want to speak with him about the forest.

Everyone froze and murmured.

— Is he insane? — some whispered. — They say it's a forest of unbeatable monsters. Haven't you heard?

Zokaro paid no mind; the clerk directed them to the office.

Zokaro and Diaz entered. The clerk announced,

— Sir... these two came about the forest monsters.

A man who looked to be the guildmaster rose and fixed them with a stern stare.

— Have you come for the money as well? I'll warn you — you might die. What are your ranks?

Diaz stepped back.

— Zokaro, let's go.

But Zokaro stepped forward.

— Listen. Take 70,000 Aloro and give us 30,000 Aloro... and we'll completely finish those monsters. I won't tell you my rank — my identity must remain secret.

The guildmaster looked into his eyes but could not refuse; Zokaro's gaze blazed with challenge and absolute confidence. The man smiled.

— Very well... When the mission is done, come back here. I think you need rest now.

Zokaro turned.

— Not now. I'm going to face those monsters now... I'll return here afterward. And don't worry — I arrived in the village at three in the morning and slept in the car, so I'm at peak readiness.

The man was taken aback.

— Who is he? Such confidence, entering the forest with no plan... and only two of them!

Zokaro strode toward the path leading to the forest, while Diaz trembled and his legs shook. Zokaro looked at him.

— Don't worry, you won't fight at all... just gather the stones and let's earn some money.

Diaz asked,

— Tell me why you refused the 100,000 Aloro?

Zokaro smiled.

— If I'd taken the full 100,000 they might have demanded to see our hunter IDs, so I lowered the offer... remember, we must operate in the shadows.

Shortly after, they arrived at the edge of the forest. It was very dark and exuded a foul stench. Zokaro turned.

— Diaz, are you ready? Let's start this mission quickly and finish it.

Zokaro and Diaz entered the forest, but it was dark. After a few moments, the system "Ratyo" appeared before Zokaro.

System: Ratyo

Alert: The monsters in this area are few in number — 73 in total — with four powerful foes at the rear, and a king beyond them.

Classification: Dab. The base strength of these monsters: 560.

Facing this entire force alone will be difficult. Summon the Warring Army to assist in combat.

Zokaro thought deeply: I understand why the monster count dropped — hunters have been coming to this forest for a year, so their numbers have dwindled... I have no choice. With the army I will face an army of monsters.

Zokaro advanced with cautious steps while Diaz followed behind him. After a short while, he heard movement behind them, and the system screen appeared.

System: Ratyo

Monster count: 73. They surround the entire area. Their strength: 560. If you defeat them, you will earn 30,000 points.

You gain 10% of their power for each one defeated.

They are Dab monsters, bear-like in appearance but armored with heavy iron plating; defeating them will require greater strength.

Enter the Armory

Zokaro smiled. "Great — taking those points will raise my power level. I'll enter the armory."

System: Ratyo

Available weapons:

— Imp King's Dagger.

Power level: 250

— Rafka King's Sword.

Power level: 320

Do you want to merge the two weapons' power?

Zokaro considered this carefully. Neither weapon alone would be effective against higher-tier monsters, so he decided to merge them.

The system began fusing the weapons, and after a few minutes:

System: Ratyo

Merged Weapon

The Red Dagger: it slices through foes with speed and pierces their armor. Its power has been significantly amplified.

Power level: 600

Zokaro drew the Red Dagger at full strength. After a few minutes, Dab monsters appeared. They were massive — reaching up to two meters tall — resembling bears but clad in gray iron armor, savage in shape, with violet eyes.

Their numbers were enormous, slowly closing in on Diaz and Zokaro. Diaz trembled with fear.

"Zokaro, we must run — this time I won't be able to help you."

Zokaro smiled.

"You fool. I told you your task. Leave the monsters to me and my army."

Diaz was stunned by his words.

"You and an army? What army?"

Zokaro said,

"The Ratyo Warring Army: Deploy."

A bright light enveloped Zokaro. Sparks flew; an electric blue mist formed, with flashes of fine digital data coalescing in the air.

The components of the army assembled quickly. One hundred soldiers materialized, and at their front stood General Haidhr. Zokaro was astonished at what he saw, but also excited.

The army looked like humanoid automatons — bodies fashioned from dark metal alloys, nearly black with a gray tint. Their eyes glowed with orange streaks like flames; electricity crackled across them. Their heads were fully enclosed helmets with no facial features, containing illuminated lines that ran from the eyes down the neck, glowing blue.

Their armor featured a harmonious geometric design, a blend of medieval knight plate and futuristic military tech. Each soldier carried a long, slim silver sword that looked razor-sharp.

The figure at their front — General Haidhr — wore armor of metallic yellow with golden hues, streaked by moving energy lines that flowed like molten fire beneath the metal. His eyes blazed like molten red flame, and his long black cloak sparked with electric flashes.

He stood about two meters tall, broad-shouldered and unwavering. The general's battlefield presence was palpable: a shimmering blue halo of digital glyphs surrounded him, and a dual-energy aura radiated outward.

They all stood in a single line behind Zokaro, with General Haidhr at his side.

Diaz was speechless with amazement; the army Zokaro had summoned alone was an immense force. He thought to himself: Zokaro might be at elite level — summoning such a massive army reveals the extent of his power.

General Haidhr stepped forward, turned to Zokaro, and bowed.

"Sir, give me your orders. My army and I will fight with you to the last breath."

Zokaro was surprised by the declaration; he did not know what to say, but he understood that General Haidhr surpassed him in martial might. He then said:

"Listen, General Haidhr… kill any enemy that stands before you."

General Haidhr stood tall, fixed his gaze ahead, and drew his sword. It was a powerful blade that emitted a distinctive hiss as it was unsheathed — a slim sword approximately 179 cm long, wreathed in a blazing red aura like fire.

With lightning speed, General Haidar advanced forward, his steps steady and deliberate.

He moved like an armored machine, the sound of his footsteps echoing across the ground.

Then, with a thunderous roar, the Dab beasts charged toward him at full speed.

Yet General Haidar's movements were perfectly synchronized with battle — every swing of his blade sliced through countless heads, his sword dancing in the air, his leaps and strikes executed in flawless rhythm.

After several minutes, he raised his sword high, and the hundred soldiers behind him all knelt before Zokaro, saying:

> "My lord, grant us permission to fight."

Zokaro lifted his hand toward the sky, then pointed forward:

> "Go! Wipe them all out!"

They all moved in perfect unison — no cries, no shouts, only the rhythmic thud of their footsteps.

They advanced toward the beasts, but it took at least five soldiers working together to bring down a single one.

Then, the Ratio System interface appeared.

RATIO SYSTEM

Army Statistics:

100 Soldiers: Each soldier lost on the battlefield is gone forever.

Be cautious, and organize their ranks carefully.

They can only be summoned once per day.

General Haidar: Can also be summoned once per day.

Zokaro was stunned — he hadn't known this.

> "Damn it, I'll have to fight as well… Diaz, hide behind a tree somewhere. I'm starting the battle now!"

Zokaro dashed forward with incredible speed, dodging each Dab beast and slashing through them with precision.

They couldn't keep up — every strike of his blade annihilated enemies with seamless combinations of evasion and counterattack, preparing for the next blow.

As for General Haidar, his strength was overwhelming.

He fought with full force — his sword flashing like lightning, movements fluid and coordinated, strikes angled and horizontal, every motion a deadly art.

The soldiers, meanwhile, attacked in coordinated groups, bringing down one beast at a time.

But behind every victory, Zokaro was losing soldiers.

After a fierce and grueling battle, Zokaro and his army finally defeated all the Dab beasts — but at the cost of 47 soldiers.

Only 53 remained.

Zokaro turned toward Diaz, whose eyes were wide and mouth agape.

> "Diaz! Extract the Heart Core Stones, now… Why are you frozen like a statue?"

Diaz shouted, trembling with excitement:

> "You're incredible, Zokaro! You defeated all those beasts with your skill and the power to summon those armored knights!"

Zokaro smiled slightly.

> "Alright, but it's your turn to do your part."

Diaz, full of energy, replied:

> "Yes! Don't worry, it's my time to shine — I'll do it fast!"

But from afar, Zokaro sensed the presence of the four Dab elites and their king.

He grinned.

> "If I didn't have these soldiers, I'd be severely injured by now… maybe even unable to defeat them. I would've had to retreat."

Zokaro's eyes widened, and he shouted with joy.

Everyone — even the soldiers — turned toward him.

Diaz asked:

> "What's wrong? Did something happen to make you scream like that?"

Zokaro scratched the back of his head, laughing awkwardly.

> "I just realized… my power has grown tremendously! Keep doing your job, Diaz."

But first—let's finish off the remaining monsters."
