Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Team Battle

Daigo's Tiga staggered back to his feet and immediately gathered energy for a Zeperion Ray.

But just as the light was about to fire, another volley of purple blasts struck him head-on, breaking his stance and cutting the attack short.

From the ground, Dan Moroboshi and the others looked up at the battle in the sky with grave faces.

"That monster… how can it be this strong?!" Seiji Hokuto muttered, fists clenched in frustration as five Ultra Warriors struggled against the barrage.

"Even so, Ultraman will never lose!" Hayata Hideki's tone was firm, his gaze unshaken.

"Yes," Moroboshi added quietly, "we all know that."

Smoke and flame rose in thick clouds across the battlefield, making the scene hard to see. People on the ground, already terrified, could only watch and pray. They thought the battle had ended with the defeat of the three monsters—but now a colossal abomination stood before them. And the Ultras were their last hope.

"Come on, Ultraman!"

"You can't lose!"

"We believe in you—don't give up!"

"Fight, Ultraman, fight!"

Their voices rose together, desperate yet defiant.

The monster, however, showed no mercy. Purple energy spheres continued to rain down, each one shaking the earth, and then—an even greater attack formed. A massive orb of orange lightning erupted from its core.

Death Flash!

The blast tore into the city, exploding with a deafening roar. Fire and shockwaves consumed the ground where the Ultras had fallen.

Hearts seized with fear. People stared into the inferno, praying their guardians would still rise.

Then—whoosh! One after another, five Ultra Warriors burst through the flames, soaring skyward once more.

The crowd erupted in relief.

"They're alive!"

"Go, Ultraman!"

Yu Zhou's Tiga, fighting alongside the others, focused on the creature's writhing tentacles. Four appendages, each tipped with glowing orbs, pulsed with energy—clearly the source of those purple blasts.

"You've beaten me black and blue… those damn bulbs are mine!" Yu Zhou growled.

His Tiga lunged forward, wrapping both arms around one massive tendril and hammering it with brutal punches. The appendage thrashed wildly, firing off blasts in random directions. Yu Zhou leapt away, shifting into Power Type midair, and rocketed back in with a crushing strike.

The glowing orb shattered under his fist, dimming to lifeless gray.

"One down. Good!"

Fueled by momentum, he dismantled the remaining three, each thunderous blow silencing another of the monster's deadly "lamps." Its strongest weapon was gone.

Meanwhile, Daigo's Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, and Mebius attacked from every angle. Some hammered at the fused Golzas head, others struck at the Hyppolit-segmented waist, while Mebius darted in with harrying strikes.

The monster roared, wounded but far from beaten.

Then—a sudden volley of beams struck from afar, hammering its colossal body.

The Ultras turned in surprise. Four familiar silhouettes descended, glowing with the power of light itself.

Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Ace!

The veterans had joined the fight.

Though their beams inflicted little permanent damage, their very presence rekindled hope in both the Ultras and the humans below. For this world, these were the legends—the heroes known since childhood.

Cheers thundered from the ground.

Now, nine Ultra Warriors stood united against the monster.

Ace closed first, unleashing a furious combination before severing one of Golzas' horns with his cutting beam. Jack followed up, slicing the other horn clean off in a flash of sparks.

Ultraman himself dove straight into the creature's gaping maw, detonating light from within before being hurled out by an explosion.

Seven tangled with the grotesque twin chicken-heads of King Pandon, trading red fireballs and Emerium Rays in a deadly aerial duel.

The battlefield blazed with light.

Yu Zhou suddenly sensed something ominous. His gaze flicked to the bay—and there, spanning the waters, was a great suspension bridge. He remembered the "original story": the monster's ultimate attack had melted that bridge into nothing.

"Don't tell me… it's coming."

As if on cue, the monster convulsed, its entire body radiating with destructive power.

Dissault Buster!

A beam of unimaginable force tore from its chest, scorching through sea and sand, boiling the bay into molten rock.

Yu Zhou's eyes widened.

"Stop it—now!"

Without hesitation, he raised his arms into an L-shape and fired a Zeperion Ray.

The others followed instantly. They didn't need to understand his words; the intent was clear.

Beams of every color converged, clashing against the monster's cannon. The collision erupted in a colossal detonation that broke its charge and staggered its form.

The bay still seethed with magma, but the Ultras quickly raised their hands together, weaving restorative beams that cooled and repaired the ravaged waters.

Yu Zhou, unfamiliar with such techniques, mimicked their gestures. To his surprise, his own Tiga emitted a faint, shimmering light that merged with theirs. Slowly, the bay returned to normal.

This time, unlike the "original," the great bridge still stood. Humanity's symbol of connection remained unbroken.

The monster howled in rage, its chest flaring again as it prepared another destructive blast.

But the Ultras were ready.

As the attack fired, nine warriors crossed their arms, erecting a radiant barrier of combined light. The beam struck and bent, rebounding in a dazzling arc that slammed into the creature's lower body, tearing into the fused Golzas head.

The abomination shrieked in agony, thrashing violently. Then, with one last roar, it turned skyward and fled toward the stars, its vast frame shrinking into the night.
