Time skip to three months later.
One day the students in the dorm are cultivating in the evening before dinner.

The student's faces lit up at the first part but hearing the next part felt a little sad.
After a moment everyone nodded and got ready to go.
Wang Sheng noticed Tang San and strode over to him and said.
"Tang San, I must thank you as well."
Tang San frowned in confusion and asked.
"What do you mean?"
"If it wasn't for the guards at the gate trying to bully you, and elder Li punishing them, to take our work for the past 3 months, while we get paid, I wouldn't have broken through this fast." He explained.
Tang San looked at Wang Sheng dumbfounded and nodded speechlessly.
"So will you come with us to the dinner hall? My treat this time.
Last time, Elder Li paid for us and I didn't get the chance." Wang Sheng said.
Tang San thought for a moment and nodded.
'Well, I won't see him for long, so why not humor him for the last time.' Tang san thought.
Wang Sheng smiled and took everyone to eat, but unlike last time they only dined on the first floor.
Shortly after everyone finished eating and heading out when Hanrui called out from the second floor stairs.
"Wang Sheng."
Wang Sheng and the other students turned around and noticed Hanrui descending the stairs.
"Elder Li." Wang Sheng called out respectfully, as Hanrui approached their group slowly.
Hanrui nodded and patted his shoulder with a smile.
"Good, good, you broke through earlier than expected, you worked hard these days." Hanrui praised him.
Wang Sheng smiled embarrassed at being praised, but felt grateful, while Tang San at the side frowned.
'Does Wang Sheng's breakthrough have something to do with him?' He thought feeling suspicious.
"Ok, go on and rest, and come to me tomorrow morning, I'll take you for the soul hunt, to get your first soul ring." Hanrui continued.
Wang Sheng, hearing this, wanted to refuse out of politeness but recalling the conversation he had with 'Elder Li' three months ago, he gave up.
"Thank you, Elder Li, I'll be in your care." Wang Sheng replied.
"Alright then, make your preparations and meet me in the morning, Good night." Hanrui said as he walked away while the rest of Wang Sheng's group made way for him while bowing respectfully.
As Hanrui left everyone started leaving the dining hall, and walked back to the Dorm.
Wang Sheng slept very late into the night, imagining what type of soul beast he would get for his first soul ring, but thanks to his biological clock working perfectly he came to Hanrui's courtyard in time.
Xiao Wu opened the door and welcomed him in and guided him to Hanrui's study, where he was waiting, reading a book.
"You are here early." Hanrui said, noticing his arrival.
Wang Sheng nodded solemnly. "Yes, Elder Li. I didn't want to make you wait."
Hanrui smiled, and asked "So, what path have you chosen?
Knowing you, you might've gone for a 10-100 year old soul beast as long as it matches your attributes. Even with the help of the teachers in the academy.
But now that I'm here to help, what path have you chosen? After getting my personal tutoring."
Wang Sheng, embarrassed, laughed awkwardly, hearing that.
"If possible,I want to choose a lightning Element beast to evolve my Martial Soul to a higher grade like Elder Li taught." He replied seriously.
Hanrui, intrigued by his answer, questioned him further. "Why lightning in particular?
I recall saying you have a higher affinity with fire? Yet you still choose lightning?"
Wang Sheng heaved a sigh of relief, seeing Hanrui wasn't angry with his answer.
He took a deep breath to collect his thoughts, before answering again.
"Elder Li, you said I have a higher affinity with fire, not my Martial Soul.
Choosing a fire attribute might give me and my Martial Soul a boost, but I feel it's not suited for my fighting style.
I know I'm a bit reckless and charge into fight without thinking much. So, I think lightning is more suitable choice.
Lightning has huge destruction potential, defence with paralysis effect and speed bonus. So I choose lightning instead."
Hanrui looked at Wang Sheng with approval in his eyes.
"Good, Good. You learned well. Here take this, we will leave once you absorb it." Hanrui said and tossed an elixir vile at him.
Wang Sheng caught the vile and examined for a second and felt the rich vitality coming from it.
He opened the cork and gulped it down the next second and sat down crosslegged and started absorbing it, having complete trust in elder Li, he didn't think twice about it.
In just a few minutes Wang Sheng felt the change, as his body was getting strengthened from the inside.
An hour passed before Wang Sheng completed absorbing the liquid and opened his eyes.
As Wang Sheng stood up and looked at his own hands in confusion Hanrui explained.
"That's called Body Strengthening Elixir, it will be in the market next year. It will strengthen the body to some extent.
The Current, you, shouldn't have much problem absorbing a 600 year old soul ring."
Wang Sheng looked at him stunned for a long time.
'Why does Elder Li have something that is not in the market? Is He the one who created it?' Wang Sheng wondered.

Well since you are done, let's go. I've already explained your situation to the dean last night." Hanrui said as he walked ahead while Wang Sheng hurriedly followed after him.
