Chapter 25 - Invitation from Stark Group

After the Vampire incident concluded, Ailer returned to his home and enjoyed a few peaceful days.

One day, Ailer was exercising when his phone suddenly rang. He placed the 300kg barbell he used for warm-ups back on the rack and answered the call.

"Hello, may I ask who this is?"

"Hello, Mr. Ailer Hestia, I'm Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's personal assistant."

On the other end of the line was a pleasant female voice, and her self-introduction was what truly caught Ailer's attention.

Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's personal assistant, could be considered the person Tony Stark trusted most at the moment, and also a very important person in the original timeline.

Thinking of this, Ailer's interest was piqued, and his tone of voice became more serious.

"I never thought a humble writer like myself would receive a call from you, madam," Ailer said humbly.

"You are too modest, sir." Pepper chuckled softly and replied, "You are one of America's hottest fantasy novelists, it is I who should apologize for disturbing you."

"No, no, it's fine. I've been quite free lately, but I'm very curious why Mr. Stark's personal assistant would seek me out?" Ailer asked.

"About that…" Pepper's voice hesitated slightly before she continued, "Mr. Stark wishes to discuss a copyright collaboration with you."

"Copyright collaboration? If I recall correctly, Stark Industries' main business is various high-tech products, isn't it? Why would they want to collaborate with a best-selling author like me?"

Ailer was a bit puzzled; he couldn't fathom what strange ideas Tony Stark's brilliant mind was cooking up now.

At this moment, Pepper on the phone sounded like a parent whose heart was broken by a mischievous child. She thought carefully before speaking:

"It's like this, Mr. Stark read your novel during his leisure time and felt that the Stark family and he were a good fit, so he wants to play some roles after the novel is adapted into a film or TV series."

"So that's how it is." A smile appeared on Ailer's face.

Ailer never expected Tony Stark to get involved with him for such a reason; this reason truly made him laugh.

"May we discuss this in person?" Pepper thought Tony's idea was too childish, and that a writer like Ailer would most likely not agree.

However, Ailer wouldn't let the fat sheep in front of him escape and immediately agreed.

"No problem, you pick a suitable time, and we can discuss the collaboration in detail."

"That's wonderful." A hint of joy was discernible in Pepper's voice. "How about tomorrow at 2 PM? The location will be Stark Tower, and Mr. Stark will also be there, so you can discuss the relevant matters thoroughly."

"No problem, I'll be there on time." Ailer smiled faintly, already beginning to scheme how to exploit the fat sheep.

"Thank you for your cooperation, I won't disturb you any further." With that, Pepper ended the call.

After the call ended, Ailer continued his training. Getting money from Tony Stark was important, but becoming stronger himself was even more crucial.

… … … … … … … … … … … …

Meanwhile,

In New York, at Culver University, a slender figure was fleeing inside the university library. Numerous bookshelves helped obscure him from his pursuers, allowing him to successfully shake off those behind him.

This group of soldiers, dressed in camouflage, clearly not ordinary people, took out their walkie-talkies.

"We've lost the target, requesting backup."

"You retreat first, then throw two tear gas canisters inside," said the Army Commander, a man with white hair and three silver stars on his uniform, indicating his rank as Lieutenant General.

Beside this Army Lieutenant General, a young woman was trying to stop him.

"You can't do this, you'll kill Banner, father," the woman said worriedly.

"He won't die so easily." This Army Lieutenant General appeared quite ruthless. "Betty, if he truly wants to solve the problem, then he should cooperate with the U.S. Army as he did at the beginning."

"You tricked him!" The woman named Betty exposed her father's true colors. She pointed at her father and said coldly:

"You first tricked him into researching Captain America's serum, then your experiment caused him to become a monster, and now you're trying to capture him under the guise of helping him, Thaddeus Ross! You are too shameless!"

"This is for the country!" General Ross replied to his daughter with great conviction, even defending himself righteously.

"As long as Bruce Banner returns to us, we can help him control his condition, and after that, there will be countless giant soldiers. This can make our country great again!"

As he spoke, General Ross's neck turned slightly red, indicating that these were truly his heartfelt words.

The man being pursued by the U.S. Army was named Bruce Banner, formerly a Dr. at Culver University, who had been researching the serum Captain America once used in his laboratory.

However, Bruce Banner did not know that the Army was supporting this behind the scenes, nor did he know that the Army wanted to mass-produce super soldiers. The young scientist still believed this was a serum that could improve the physical fitness of all citizens.

None of this would have come to light until a laboratory accident turned Bruce Banner into a terrifying monster.

That monster possessed immense strength and could sweep through armies; no conventional weapon could kill him, and he could jump out of radar detection range from a standing start.

General Ross was drawn to this power; he yearned to obtain and replicate it.

However, Bruce Banner did not want to hand this power over to people with ill intentions, so he kept fleeing until he revealed his whereabouts in a Brazilian favela a few days ago.

Upon receiving the lead, General Ross immediately dispatched people to track him down. In a chase and escape, the unavoidable Bruce Banner chose to return to America.

America held Bruce Banner's alma mater, Culver University. He entrusted his old experimental data to his girlfriend, Betty, for safekeeping. Besides that, there was one more person in America who might be able to help him.

That was a person who called himself 'Mr. Blue,' claiming to be a top scientist who could win Nobel Prizes with ease. Thus, with nowhere else to turn, Banner decided to trust Mr. Blue once.

However, Bruce Banner hadn't even found Mr. Blue before General Ross led a team to his doorstep.

After the tear gas canisters were fired, Betty vaguely heard a roar.

That was not a roar a human could make, because the source of that roar was a monster, whose name was—Hulk!

"Roar!!!"

The roar echoed through the sky, and a tall green figure crashed through the wall, landing on the lawn of Culver University.
