Chapter 6 - Weapons Galore

Weapon racks all over the room with various types of guns, none of which were standard. Seeing something like this can definitely give you a new perspective on what power truly is.

A netgun amongst all these other beauty's is definitely something, I didn't expect to see this many guns. But I guess I should've since it is a decent size gang.

I don't really know what netgun I'm looking for though since pistols are nice, but they also seem to have rifles as well.

"Surprised by how much we have, huh?" Reika asked with a bit of a smug look on her face.

"Not at all. I'd say I've seen a lot bigger armories." I answered, clearly lying.

I've never seen any armory's before so this was probably not the biggest one but it is definitely big. There's so many different choices but I think a gun with smart tracking would be beneficial.

I can kill someone while sitting in cover without having to peak. Netguns are some of the hardest guns for anyone to acquire since they are mostly used by the government.

You could also say it is illegal for civilians like us to have since they are strong weapons.

"You like lying about dumb shit, but I don't mind it as long as you are useful. Since you did volunteer to join us for this whole thing." Reika spoke with a bit of casual tone.

At least she didn't sound irritated like before and she's not just being a bitch about everything which is also nice. I doubt that it'll last though since I can be a pretty unlikeable person, apparently.

"I'll be useful, you did save my life so it feels better to pay it back. I won't lie about important shit so you don't need to worry." I assured her while examining a netgun deagle.

Desert eagles are always beautiful pistols but imagine one that can track a target without having to peak over cover? A standard desert eagle is still a good weapon but most would stick with something a bit more freedom.

Faster fire rates you could say? I'm not a big gun nut, but I do know a thing or two about them.

My dad was part of a gang for most of his life, even after he brought Renji and I into the world. I didn't blame him for staying with them because he was providing for us.

I think he was the boss at some point before he died. It was a sad time for awhile but he never once brought work home, he always left it at the door.

I'm sure he didn't want us getting involved in stuff like this but I don't think it is something you can avoid forever.

"I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you can be trusted for now, just don't disappoint me. I don't want to have to kill someone I saved again." Reika replied with a bit of a sad tone.

"I can try my best. There's no guarantee I won't disappoint anyone, but you won't have to kill me." I assured her.

I have no intentions of making an enemy out of her or the gang itself so she shouldn't have to worry about killing me. I'll be doing my best to help get rid of the filth of that pollutes our streets.

Granted, cops will consider me to be a part of that filth still. Nobody who is associated with a gang is ever a good guy.

We have to be able to handle business regardless of the situation, at least that's how I'd do it. Letting emotions dictate things would just make you weak in any given situation.

"Well, go ahead and take your pick." Reika said while leaning back against the wall.

Seems what I said was enough for the time being.

I didn't hesitate to pick up the netwire deagle since I can probably make my shots count anyway. It definitely has a bit more weight than the other pistol I had.

It makes sense that it would since it isn't a standard gun by any means.

They usually use better materials when making the modified weapons, that's why they are usually the hardest to get. The deagle has a small rectangular reticle on the top that connects to a panel on the side of the rail.

Peaking through the reticle I could see it lock onto Reika without me having to look over at her completely. Makes you truly understand how dangerous our government is since they are the main ones with these firearms.

"Exactly what you want?" Reika asked with a curious tone.

"I'd say that it is. You sure you want someone new to have access to a netwire deagle?" I responded with my own question.

"Typically, no. But you haven't given us a reason not to trust you just yet." Reika answered without hesitation.

I picked up a holster after that and attached it to the side of my pants, it seemed to attach without any problems. The tech within it makes it easy to adapt to whatever material it meets.

It was nice to have a good piece for once, one that actually has good mods to it. I don't think I'll get pinned down easily like I did again.

This is going to make my rise a bit easier if I can keep getting my hands on hardware like this.

The Doctor also mentioned that I had some sort of prototype as well which is something I need to learn about more. It could be the arm they gave me since the fluid inside seems to resemble mana in a lot of ways.

"I don't intend to ever give a reason not to trust me. Thanks for the deagle." I said with an appreciative tone.

"Yeah, no problem. Grab some ammo and let's get going. You have something to do." Reika replied before walking towards the door.

Seems like I'm already getting to work here.
