I was quite exhausted when I noticed the same look on the faces of others around me when they saw me.
I am also a lady; I also get happy when praised, but not like this, not when everyone stares down at me like a fox with different intentions, and some of them are even bold enough to start walking towards me.
That's why I didn't say anything, so that I don't have to deal with them, and started walking towards disciples with whom I can team up.

While I was thinking this, I found two other girls who were also among the elites, as they both radiated a 4th stage cultivation level, one realm below me, as the most talented here were only me, and those other two boys I don't know anything about.

Yes, two 4th stage cultivators fought one 3rd stage beast, as it was well known that beasts were super strong for the same realm so one should generally be a realm higher than the beast or be exceptionally talented to fight one on the same level or above it.
But the reason one girl was enough but still both fought was because we only had 16 hours given for the test, so we had to be as quick as possible, and till they finished it off, I quickly surveyed the area and found a 5th stage beast, which made my eyes light up with ecstasy.

Just as I thought I was getting drowned in this feeling of love, I also noticed that she didn't even notice me... well, that's one of the disadvantages of having an average face, folks...
I...wanted to talk with her but knew it wasn't the right time so I tried to focus on the test as it was gonna start soon but my eyes subconsciously tended to take glances at her so much that I didn't even notice the massive figure walking or should I say.. bulldozing his way towards me.
Yup, Luo Cheng found me first when he got near me he patted my shoulder which made me come out of my thoughts and he also saw it and said to me "I know the test is not that hard but for you to be chosen as a personal disciple we would need a very high score so I am ready to make a split of 40-60 with the points we earn."
I was so surprised that my mouth also slightly parted off that he was gonna give me the points which were our tickets to become a disciple so freely, well it was only 10% of total but for him, it was his 20% of total points so it quite surprised me but then I also have noticed his character over the past few days so it didn't shock me.
I just sighed and nodded as I also needed the points, so I said, "Don't worry, if we can get enough points, then I won't have to take your points, so let's do our best."
He just nodded his head and didn't say anything as the Elder was gonna start the test and as soon as the bell rang we quickly darted through and reached the forest entrance but all this while my eyes glanced multiple times towards her and I tried to move towards her which confused Luo Cheng as why we weren't running straight to the forest but going sideways.
I also noticed his peculiar expression so I shifted a little and started running straight and just hoped that maybe I could at least introduce myself to her...

Till the time we crossed something around 250 metres of the forest in a straight line we finally found our first beast which was at 4th stage so we both nodded and started running towards it, mind you that in these eighty-three days Luo Cheng has reached the peak of 3rd level and I was also at the mid to late-stage 3rd realm and with our synergy defeating a 4th level beast shouldn't be difficult or that's what we thought...atleast me.

I took the advantage of its distraction due to pain and stabbed with all my physical strength into the same wound which splattered a lot of blood on my body and face so I, a person with no experience in a fight subconsciously closed my eyes and didn't notice the wolf who was now looking like a mad dog lunged straight at my neck with its teeth.
But just as it grazed my neck Luo Cheng used his palm technique at exactly the neck of the wolf which didn't break it's neck but it was enough to make it miss my neck and that much time was enough for me who had closed his eyes and didn't know what was going on so I stabbed multiple times at the same wound when I heard its howl near my right ear as it frightened me to the extreme which made me involuntarily open my eyes.
And as I saw its mouth near my right side of face with a slightly disarranged jaw and closed eyes of the wolf near me and Luo Cheng standing right beside me made me guess everything that happened to some extent, and when Luo Cheng told me everything I knew I had maybe used all my luck for this year, or maybe Lady Luck was favoring me.
But after this fight and gaining a 4th stage Core equivalent to 30 points, I now knew I was changing and I had to change and fortify my mind if I wanted to become the strongest...
