With a sharp gasp, Michael rose from the bed, his heart pounding erratically.
"Another nightmare." He muttered in irritation, getting up.
Surprisingly, he had overslept, as he was the last one to get up. Testament to how much he had been exhausted, considering he was an early bird.
After making sure that his father was fine, he went to the lower floor where the coffee shop was.
"Good morning." Isabella giggled seeing her son's messy hair.
"You overslept? Some things never change…" She said, making him take a seat before bringing him breakfast.
'I usually oversleep? Was this how I was in my prior life?' Michael wondered, not showing his true emotion on his face.
For breakfast his mother had prepared a simple meal. Fried eggs with bacon on the side, accompanied by a sugar-free coffee.
"Thank you for the meal." Michael said, about to dig in, only for Scarlett to leave her work aside and near him with a mischievous smile.
