Aboard the warship, Garp chomped his donuts like he was grinding someone's bones.
He'd planned a nice long leave after patrol—head back to the East Blue, see the grandkids—but then Sengoku hit him with a non-negotiable order: retrieve the lost Sky Gold.
This batch funded seats in multiple allied nations' councils. Critical.
It tangled civilian lives with Celestial Dragon drama, so Sengoku dumped it on the one Vice Admiral currently strolling the North Blue like a tourist: Garp.
"That bastard Sengoku—thinks he can boss me around just 'cause he's Fleet Admiral!"
Garp scowled, jammed his pinky in his nose, and spun.
"Vice Admiral, watch your language—image matters!"
Bogard peeked from behind, reminding him.
"Hmph! I don't give a damn!"
Garp snorted and flicked the booger into the sea.
Six months after the Holy Land fiasco, the Celestial Dragons finally felt the sting of no Admiral coverage. They pumped Navy budgets and demanded the roster filled.
Kuzan, Sengoku, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru—tons of brass got promoted. Garp? Still said nope to every offer, so he stayed a grunt under Sengoku.
Now he was stuck chasing Celestial Dragon pocket change.
"Working for those scum…"
The thought made his blood boil. Time with his grandsons—ruined!
What if they turned to piracy because Grandpa wasn't around enough?!
Fuming, he had the crew roll up cannonballs. He loosened his tie, suit straining over rippling muscle.
Haki surged. Veins popped.
"Fist Bone—Meteor!"
Shells punched through clouds, streaking down like falling stars.
On the ground, Sakura and Doflamingo leapt apart, clearing the middle.
BOOM!
The Haki-charged shell cratered the earth, flames and shrapnel exploding outward.
"First Dance: Moon White!"
Her storm blade carved a circle on the ground. Ice domain spread fast, turning Dressrosa's ruins snowy white again—and freezing the blast's debris mid-air.
"Hm? Same type as Kuzan?"
A massive figure dropped from the sky, cracking the ground. Overlord Haki rippled out like a shockwave.
"I remember him mentioning you—Roger's ship kid, Haruno Sakura!"
Finally, a fun pirate—and tied to an old friend. Garp's face lit up with excitement.
Even the Celestial Dragon errand faded from his mind. Eyes burned with battle lust.
"Hey, old man, you—"
Her words drowned in the screech of displaced air. A towering shadow swallowed her.
Armament Haki flared red around his hand. He grabbed her collar and over-the-shoulder slammed her into the dirt.
"Seabed—Drop!"
Dark lightning spread. Haki carved a hole in the ground. The impact drove Sakura deep underground.
"Brats who don't respect their elders need the Fist of Love! Hahaha!"
Garp stood at the pit's edge, laughing and cracking his knuckles over the black abyss.
Then his demon gaze swung to the four pirates behind him.
Doflamingo, Diamante, Trebol, and Pica instantly broke into cold sweat—upward.
"Oh? Four more trash piles."
His justice cape snapped upright from sheer presence. Peak Armament Haki cloaked his fist in dark glow.
He spun—one punch.
"Spider Nest!"
"Bullfighter Cape!"
"Slime Net!"
"Stone Press!"
All four unleashed signature moves. Garp's fist punched through every defense.
The melting stone wall shoved silk, steel, slime, and rock toward them—until a massive shockwave slammed them face-first into Garp's impact.
The freshly freed Donquixote officers? Knocked out in one hit.
Doflamingo barely dodged using sky-walk, but a graze from the Haki turned his right arm black and swollen, throbbing with pain.
"This… this is the pinnacle of the seas!"
Doflamingo's fingers trembled. Even a brush left him wrecked—how could he fight that?
Sunglasses spun as he scanned escape routes.
"No use—come quietly to Impel Down!"
Garp's eyes flashed red. Observation Haki locked every exit.
He leapt—then felt resistance at his feet.
Ice had silently crept up to his thighs.
Temperature plummeted. Snow danced. A snow-white girl stepped out on frozen stairs.
"Mirror Mountain!"
Layers of ice armor shattered off her. A trickle of blood ran from her temple, adding fragile beauty to her delicate face.
She'd absorbed most of the impact with her powers, but the Haki still hurt.
Garp was nothing like that old fossil on the throne. That guy only relied on his fruit—wouldn't even qualify to shine Garp's shoes.
Just like Jabba said: Only Haki reigns supreme.
"Phew."
Sakura exhaled frost laced with chakra.
Yang-nature freezing mist twisted at her will, forming giant beasts that lunged at Garp.
"Hahaha! Roger's eye for talent was spot-on!"
Garp laughed, genuine praise in his voice.
Then Overlord Haki roared skyward, forcing Sakura and Doflamingo to clash with their own.
Amid the storm, Garp raised his Armament-wrapped, glowing fist again.
"Doflamingo—help me crack his Haki!"
Sakura shouted, slammed both palms on the ground, and pumped Yang chakra into the ice.
Countless beasts emerged from the blizzard, charging Garp.
Up in the sky, Doflamingo froze at her voice.
Me? Fight Garp?
Forget now—even after another decade of training, he'd be outclassed.
Bro, you sure we can win?
Guaranteed loss.
"Just one second—that's all I need!!!"
Sakura's voice rang out again. Her confidence sparked hope in Doflamingo, who'd been ready to ditch his crew.
"Really just one second?"
"Yep!"
With her word, Doflamingo clenched his jaw, ripped off his pink feather coat, and wrapped the swelling black arm like a bandage.
Just a legend of the seas, right?
Today—we blow him up!!!
