The next day, Wei An had woken up a little earlier than usual. He had gotten up puzzled, thinking that it was already late. Alfred had not woken him up like usual. He had gotten used to the old man knocking and waking him up; it felt weird that he did not see him present.
Wei An got up, still a little sleepy. He then went on with his usual routine, washing up, changing, and then eating. Just as Wei An was changing, there was a knock on his door.
"Come in."
"My apologies for not waking you up, young master." Alfred went in, his usual benign smile on his face as he served Wei An's breakfast.
"It's fine; don't be late next time."
"Yes, young master."
Wei An ate his breakfast and then got ready to go out.
"What time does the academy start the official ceremony for those who passed?"
"About 2 hours from now, sir."
"It's still early?"
"Yes, sir."
Damn it. I thought I was late. I could've enjoyed my sleep.
"Since it's still early, let's go to the capital for a bit."
"Yes, sir."

Alfred followed Wei An as they went to stalls in the capital. Bai Wang was being carried by Wei An as he walked through the capital. It was still quite early in the morning, and not many were out.
I wonder if there's something I can buy... Well, I already have everything I need.
Just then, Wei An saw a stall with a few interesting things. He walked toward the stall and scanned the items. He then saw a bracelet; it had a strange aura that Wei An could not describe. He looked a bit more and ultimately bought the bracelet and a collar for Bai Wang.
After a while had passed, Wei An made his way to the academy. He was early and had about 30 minutes to spare. As he got out of his carriage, he was met with weird stares. He felt weird that people were staring at him a lot but still did not bother to confront the stares.
Wei An walked through the halls of the academy, looking through the facilities that were there. He was busy familiarizing himself with the academy because although he read about the history of this world and how things work, those were all just in books.
While walking, the amulet that the vice headmaster gave him started to glow. It suddenly teleported him to an office where he could see the vice headmaster sitting down while reviewing some papers.
"Ah, I hope I didn't bother you, young man."
Bother? Of course it did! Who the hell does that?!
Wei An kept a calm face and just smiled slightly at the headmaster, then greeted him, "Did you need something from me, sir?"
"Well, I would like to congratulate you in advance as well as inform you about the ceremony, as you will be the student representative."
"Ah--- me?"
"Yes. You see, you passed both the practical and written exams with exceptional scores. I think you would be a great fit to make the speech as a student representative. Well, of course, if you'd prefer not to, then we can pass it to someone else."
"Please do." Wei An didn't seem to hesitate in declining the offer from the vice headmaster; in fact, he was thrilled that not doing the speech was an option. Of course he kept his opinions inside his mind.
"Very well, would you care to recommend a student for the speech then?"
This old man... I barely know anyone here! Ah well...I guess I could pass it onto him. He wouldn't mind, would he?
"Ah, well, I think His Highness Prince Shin would be a perfect fit to be student representative, sir."
"Oh, then you must get along with him nicely?"
Wei An just nodded but did not respond; he was eager to get out of the vice principal's office and just walk around without doing anything.
"Alright, you may leave. I have high expectations for you, young man."
"Ah...haha."
Wei An quickly left the office as soon as he was given permission to. He had been startled that he was teleported to the vice headmaster's office without context and was glad to get out.
Ha... This world just gets weirder and weirder every day.
Time passed, and everyone was called outside for the rank announcement. Students gathered around the ceremony venue, where they first announced the beginning of the first test. Just then, the sound of someone clearing their throat could be heard; a senior teacher had gone up to the ceremony platform and started to speak.
"Participants of the academy test, I am pleased to tell you that while not all of you may have passed, at least you did your best and can continue to work harder in the future. Now, for those who have passed, do not celebrate just yet since the real challenge only begins now."
"Furthermore, I would like to congratulate all of you whether you passed or not. I hope you continue to strive and work hard for the good of our nation and for our dear future. Now, let us announce who has passed."
The senior teacher then called the names of students who had passed one by one; they were given a badge with the symbol of the academy. After some time the senior teacher finished announcing those who have passed. Students who have failed, however, were already beginning to leave or have left the ceremony.
"Now that we have announced the students who passed, let us call on the student representative to make a speech. After that you may enjoy the welcome ceremony of the academy; I wish you all the best of luck."
The senior teacher stepped down from the platform and then called Shin to make his speech. The speech lasted a few minutes, and Shin congratulated everyone who had passed. He then went down, going back to his seat. After that the students then enjoyed the welcome ceremony the academy had set up.
