Her eyes were filled with anger and humiliation.
"That must be how you have been deceiving him all this time!"
Olaedo simply stared at her.
She had not even said anything about Chibuzor yet.
And Adaugo was already shouting.
"Just keep quiet, Adaugo."
Olaedo raised a hand, stopping her.
The men in the room exchanged looks of disbelief at Olaedo's calmness.
Compared to Adaugo who was making a fuss for someone she didn't value when she had him, Olaedo suddenly looked much pleasing to the eye.
But Olaedo didn't notice.
"Come and talk to me for a minute."
Olaedo looked her straight in the eyes.
"If you're so good at shouting at me when you have backup, then you should be courageous enough to come with me alone if you really want to prove that you're better than me."
Her voice remained calm.
"Or how do you expect to compete with me for Chibuzor when you can't even face me without your backup?"
That only made Adaugo angrier.
