I wake up hearing horns; the race is getting ready to start, so they have us line up by our designated spots. I see that the guy from the party is right next to me. I look down at him from my horse, which seemed to piss him off because he started rambling about how he will leave me in the dust within 60 seconds of this race. I ignore his empty threats and focus on my plan. Of course, having the sweet level 0 people have mapped out strategies and ways, and I did so myself. I see the camera roll around, and I continue looking straightforward, looking determined. I can't hear what they're saying, but I know it is either something bad about my disability or the fact that I am unique for using a horse when it's considered out of date and old-fashioned.
Joegin, or whatever his name is, is on the side delivering the speech. "From here to the sea, we will be free." Everybody cheers, but I don't let myself get distracted. Then his wife, Pluma, comes to the middle with flags. She has been equipped with a special outfit that will make sure she isn't dead, but it is very revealing, with her wearing a bunny outfit. Wonder who recommended that... She says, "Ready, set, go," and then everybody blasts off. I make sure to get a long distance ahead of everybody else admiring the praise from the speaker, who is Joegin. I know being in the lead will mean all eyes are on me.
I look behind me to see that ego guy trying to keep pace, but I just ignore him. But then people are gasping because somebody vanished. I don't know what is going on, but I hear a ding, and it says the guy is in the league! I realize that he noclipped and discovered an area that was some dark hallway with slimy, gooey, toxic stuff, and from the TVs that are floating with him now, he paid them off. Out of anger I take a steep turn right and jump into one of the square holes. I fall into level 1. There is some food to take a rest, but I keep on moving on. I continue to go through hallways with determination. I eventually encounter a smiler. But I don't care; I didn't make it this far for nothing! I speed up running by the smiler that chases after me. I see a light at the end, one I can almost make out as freedom. I then make it out to level 2.
This one is an easy one; I would just keep running forward until I reached level 3. I plan on resting on level 4, which is probably going to be abandoned because some entity killed the place, making it dangerous. Although dead and deemed safe, nobody wanted to do all that again. Without any TV to direct me, I am left blind. But I bet maybe there is a secret camera that will see me any second now. I mean, they do have trackers on us, so I doubt it. And on this level, there are so many entities I just forgot and decided to wing it. After some confusion I am at level 3. Which is more open but more dangerous, and my horse panics when he sees electrical currents in puddles.
And I hurt my hand—a small bruise—but I continue going. I finally make it to level 4 and notice how empty it is. I hop off my horse by landing flat on the ground, remembering about not being able to walk. I'll just rest here for the day; it would probably take days for them to get here anyways. Wonder how much will happen over 6 months.
