Celina's POV
The sound jolted me from sleep. My pulse quickened as I sat up abruptly, brushing away the remnants of dreams. Someone was at my door.
Was I imagining things? The late hour made everything feel surreal. My mind immediately went to Dary, but that seemed impossible. Why would he come here now, in the middle of the night?
My bare feet hit the cold floor as I stumbled toward the entrance, my heart hammering against my ribs. When I pulled the door open, shock rendered me speechless.
Dary stood there, his familiar silhouette filling the doorframe.
My throat tightened, cutting off my breath. Questions flooded my mind about where he had been, what had kept him away, but no words came. I could only stare, overwhelmed by the rush of emotions threatening to consume me.
