"Sadie!" I gasped the moment I saw my sister and attempted to go get her.
But I was held back by my step brother's arm.
He held unto my neck and forced me to look.
"Gabrielle!" She cried out to me as she tried to rush off the balcony.
But she was held back with the gun steadily placed by her head.
Sadie looked terrified and confused.
"Do you see our dear little sister now?" Jeffery asked me behind my ear.
I swallowed heavily terrified for my sister.
"There is no need for a gun. She is just a child." I complained the tears rushing down my cheeks. I turned to Lydia who stood watch. "Sadie is innocent in all of this. Let her go?"
"I've always told you Gabrielle. Whenever you cry, you look ugly." Was all Lydia said.
I was in disbelief.
Was this how much she had hated us?
"Let her go please." I begged Jeffery now.
"With one snap of my finger, the beta would pull the trigger and your sister would fall dead." He told me. "Especially since she hasn't shifted. It makes her chances of survival very low."
I shook my head.
"You think I'm kidding?" He said too close to my ear.
He waved his finger and with my crippled wolf eyes, I could see the beta slowly pulling at the trigger.
"NO NO!" I begged.
But the beta didn't stop, instead he very slowly pulled the trigger.
I turned around to face Jeffery. "Please anything you want. I'll do it. Please!"
I went down on my begging.
I jumped when I heard the gunshot.
Shaken, I turned around to see the gun had been shot in the air.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
"The next time you try to disobey me. I'll kill her. Do you understand?" He demanded.
I nodded.
"You're getting married today and you would marry him cheerful. If I as much see you frown or cry or disobey your new mate. I would rip Sadie limb from limb. Do you understand me whore?" He asked.
My hands trembled as I nodded.
"Let's go." He said dragging my arm.
I was unable to say goodbye to my sister who wept and called my name from the balcony.
"Gabrielle please don't leave me!" I heard her cry.
But before I could respond, I was shoved into the car and the door was slammed shut.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were taken to the airport and I sadly walked into my father's private jet that now had Jeffrey's name written on it.
"Where are we going?" I asked confused.
Jeffery glared at me and I shut up.
Throughout the journey I was motionless as I sat huddled in a corner, the bottom of wedding dress all gathered on the floor.
I said nothing throughly the flight whilst Jeffery and his friends sipped champagne and laughed together.
No one cared about what happened to me.
Had it not been for my younger sister, I would have killed myself.
We landed and I was pushed at the back of a car in between two hostile omegas.
Throughout the drive my mind raced.
Who was this man who was going to be my new mate?
Was this the end of my life?
There was no one I could trust.
If I made a mistake of trying to escape, my sister would be dead or worse used in my place.
Eventually the car came to a halt and I was dragged out.
Right before me was a hideous but yet massive pack.
The building itself was brown and there were scary statues of wolves around.
There were people dressed in formal attire looking at me as I was dragged into the mansion.
At the door, Jeffery held my arm. "I know you're a whore but you better hope you are a virgin. That would be a dent to the properties I would be gaining from your mate. And your sister would pay."
I felt a shiver down my spine.
Gone was the Gabrielle who was resilient and could fight for herself.
Gone was the strong headed girl my father had raised.
In her place was a complacent and naïve crippled wolf who was now too scared to do anything.
I chewed my bottom lip and Jeffery held my arm before leading me.
Another door was opened and I saw an aisle before me.
There were people all waiting around dressed in dinner gown and suits.
Their eyes were on me as I walked down the aisle in my wedding dress.
At the altar stood a man who looked like a corpse. He was an old man with thinning hair and wrinkled white skin. His eyes were hollow and his body was so bent with a skinny figure and yet protruding stomach.
I assumed he was the priest who would bind my new groom as mates.
"Alpha Ocativus." Jeffery greeted with a respect bow and nudged me. "Your bride."
To my horror, the old man nodded with a smile that showed rotten decaying teeth.
I told myself it couldn't be, until the moment I saw the Alpha ring on his finger.
