"Your husband is GenVanta's CEO?!" Clara exclaimed, her eyes glued to the TV screen where the news popped up with Dominic's picture.
"Yeah," I murmured. Dominic had told me yesterday, and even though I was still trying to process it, the news itself didn't affect me much.
I was more focused on the reactions, exactly what I expected.
On TikTok and IG, the comments were brutal. None of it was about Dominic or his "sudden success," as they called it. It was all directed at me.
I'd promised myself I wouldn't look through the comments on social media. There was never anything good there, not even before I got married. But curiosity had a way of crawling in.
I hovered my thumb over another video, reading the headline before diving into the comments.
