"A…A Bazooka!?"
Everlearn screamed out in shock as he rolled away from where the energy had blasted the roof, coming to a stop at the far end.
He turned back to where the energy had been shot, and he saw the man responsible
It was a middle-aged man, seemingly in his late twenties, wearing a pitch black techno battle suit.
Bizarre purple hair, but Evelearn couldn't really focus on the man's looks as there was something more lethal.
On his shoulder, he held a large one-meter-long energy bazooka, whose ends were currently pointed at Everlearn.
"Seems like the worries of Ellloid weren't unfounded."
"The serum's successful creation really got some pesky attention upon us…"
The man voiced out, his voice ringing loudly through the tops of the skyscrapers.
'That gun should weigh over 500 kg, and yet he weaves it up so easily. There's no doubt…' Everlearn analyzed while remaining crouched on the ground.
"This man is a Corer!''
The man's almost robotic purple pupils trailed away from Everlearn to the two men, knocked out cold on the ground.
"For a kid without a core in him, you must be quite the fighter," the man said with a faint nod, before his eyes turned steely cold.
"Unfortunately, you've seen something you shouldn't have. You have to…"
VROOOOOOOM!
The air whistled, and the man watched as Everlearn flashed away from where he stood.
A single jump and he rose high into the air, landing on top of the second building before also jumping off that onto the next roof, and then the next.
He ran.
"How fast!"
The man mused silently before a devilish grin crawled on his lips.
"It's useless still."
"Activate Target Lock!" The man called out and lowered his arm.
The bazooka he held over his shoulder had its upper part rippling, emitting a single red beam that pierced through space, illuminating Everlearn's figure.
"Target Lock Activated!"
THROOOOOOOOM!
A powerful energy bomb, arrow-shaped, shot forward with speed.
Everlearn could feel the bomb's hard whistling, and he jumped to the side, yet even after that, he could still feel the heat.
He turned and found it ten meters away, locked right upon his figure, with the illuminating red beam.
"A Target Lock!? SHIT!" He cursed out loudly.
In the next moment, the binoculars he had grabbed with his hands were roughly flung towards the bomb, only for it to be blown away, but the bomb only traveled for 7 more meters before it also exploded.
BOOOOOM!
The massive explosion flung Everlearn off the roof, throwing him a hundred meters into the air.
The air whipped by his head with incredible speed as he turned his head, hearing a devilish laughter ringing from far behind.
THROOOOOOOOOM!
A powerful shockwave rippled forth as another bomb blasted forward towards Everlearn with speed in the air.
In ten seconds, it was right before his face, and Everlearn jerked his upper body down in the next moment.
The bomb tore forward, its edge faintly scraping against Everlearn's stomach, shredding and bringing away the skin.
It traveled for five more meters before it exploded with another powerful
BAAAANG.
He was caught within the explosion and sent flying off, smashing into a window in the building and disappearing within.
"Boss Ash, you in!?" He said into the pod in his ear as he rapidly tapped against it.
"Yes?"The calm voice echoed from the other side.
"I have a Corer on my back."
"He's very powerful, most likely X-grade, and also has a Techno Weapon. Destructive energy Bomb type."
"Sounds like trouble," she said, as Everlearn pushed away the rock that had collapsed onto him.
Looking at his stomach, it was completely bloodied, though his stomach hadn't been ripped open just yet, saving his guts from spilling out.
"It's a big problem!"
He responded, running away from where he was and branching down the stairs.
"Just stay in a building."
"He wouldn't try to blow an entire building to dust...Civilian protocols."
"I will be out with the serum in about a minute," she said before the connection was severed.
'A minute, huh? I can last that long,' he thought confidently to himself, only to pause when he reached a window halfway down the stairs.
He looked outside, and his jaw fell.
Shockwaves were rippling forward with incredible speed, directly at the building he was in, and they came from a bomb that had been sent towards the building.
SHATTTERRR!
The window was immediately shattered with a punch, and Everlearn jumped out of the building immediately.
KAAAAABOOOOOM!
A terrifying explosion as the entire building was blown into bits, sending its entire structure crashing down.
"He… he blew up a building… But that's against civilian code!?"
"Who the fuck is this guy!?"Everlearn screamed in horror as he ran across the streets.
BAAAANG!
BAAAANG!
BAAANG!
The sound of buildings being blown to dust rang out as a figure flashed forward with unnatural speed, blasting through entire walls.
In the next moment, Joriy blasted through a wall, finding himself out in the sky, and his neck made a whirring sound as his purple eyes locked down, finding his target racing across the streets.
"BINGO!"
THROOOOOOOOOM!
The bazooka was fired, the resultant force sending Joriy himself backward three meters.
He crashed into a building at the side, yet his gaze remained upon Everlearn, watching the bomb rapidly creeping toward him.
His shirt burned to ashes from the approaching danger, and even his back radiated stinging pain.
[You really need to dodge, you know,] the system panel flashed, and in the last moment, Everlearn jumped to the left side.
The bomb crashed exactly where he had been, the force of the explosion sending him flying roughly into the skies once more.
The world revolved hundreds of times in the span of a second, and when he found his balance.
He found himself hanging upside down in the air, his legs in the sky, head pointed downwards.
WHIISSTLLE
The sound of whistling rang out, and he turned his eyes upward, only to find Joriy, standing there with the bazooka's nuzzle right before Everlearn's own face, both of them in the air.
"It's over," Joriy said with a wicked grin, and with widened eyes, Everlearn watched as the dark edge of the bazooka pointed directly at his face, barely 10 centimeters away.
It lit up brilliantly as Joriy pulled the trigger.
Everlearn's eyes couldn't even shut.
He is dying...again...so soon!?
Even after five seconds had passed, nothing was happening except that both of them were still descending to the ground.
"Oh," Joriy said as he turned to look at his own bazooka, pressing the trigger once more, but nothing happened.
"I ran out of bombs?"
