The afternoon sun hung lazily above the amusement park, spilling golden warmth across the colorful rides and snack stalls.
Crowds of children ran about with cotton candy in hand, couples wandered between games, and somewhere in the middle of it all sat Gojo Satoru and Nakano Nino—an unlikely pair if anyone ever saw one.
Nino was perched elegantly on the bench, legs crossed, eating a banana in small, careful bites. The contrast of her refined manners and the fruit she was eating made it almost comical.
Beside her, Gojo leaned back casually, his trademark blindfold in place, sipping from a tall can of juice.
"Gojo-kun, aren't you going to eat something?" Nino asked between bites, her voice slightly muffled by the banana.
"You eat," Gojo replied, waving lazily with one hand. "I'll do whatever I want."
He took another long sip from his drink.
Nino blinked, then frowned slightly when her eyes caught the label on the can.
"...100% pure banana juice?"
Her mouth twitched.
One was eating a banana while, the other was drinking banana-flavored juice.
They sat side by side in silence, surrounded by the chatter of passing families and the faint hum of roller coasters in the distance.
It was absurdly, almost painfully, peaceful.
The amusement park was bustling and hot that day—sunlight glinting off the metal rides, the air thick with laughter and the smell of fried snacks.
Even the Jumping Machine, the one that had nearly made Nino vomit earlier, had a long line of eager thrill-seekers.
After finishing her banana, Nino neatly tossed the peel into the trash can. Her eyes then drifted toward Gojo, lingering longer than she intended.
It didn't take long before Gojo tilted his head, smirking slightly.
"Although I know I'm handsome, there's really no need to keep staring at me, Nino."
"How can someone be so narcissistic?" Nino shot back, her cheeks tinting pink.
Still, she didn't deny it. Deep down, she silently agreed — he really was annoyingly good-looking.
"I'm just curious," she continued, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, "why do you always wear that blindfold?"
Gojo's smirk widened.
His fingers toyed with the edge of the black cloth covering his eyes.
"Curious, huh?" he said, teasingly. "Kiss me and I'll tell you."
The words fell like a spark.
Before he could even chuckle, Nino leaned forward and pressed a quick, soft kiss to his lips—barely more than a whisper of warmth before she pulled back.
"There...," she said, her voice trembling slightly despite her attempt at calm. "Now tell me."
Her earlobes glowed red, betraying her effort to appear composed.
Gojo turned slightly, grinning behind his drink. "Seems like my wife's starting to like me a lot."
Nino's heart skipped. "Wh-who's your wife?!" she stammered.
He only chuckled, then took a sip of juice before leaning close, his tone dropping playfully serious.
"Alright, listen carefully, Nino. What I'm about to tell you is top secret. Only the two of us can know. Promise me you'll keep it that way."
Her eyes widened. "I will! I promise!"
She held her breath, waiting for some profound revelation.
Gojo placed a finger under his chin, appearing deep in thought. Then he said flatly:
"Actually, I just wear it because I think it looks cool. The wind feels nice too."
"Huh?"
Nino blinked in disbelief. "Wait, that's it?!"
"Don't look at me like that," Gojo said with mock seriousness. "I used to wrap my eyes with bandages before this. Looked mysterious. Dramatic. Women loved it."
He laughed loudly, scratching the back of his head. "Ah, those were good old times."
Nino's shoulders slumped. "You're impossible," she muttered, rolling her eyes.
"Don't be angry."
"I'm not angry!," she said, but her pout said otherwise.
Gojo reached out and gently patted her head. "Good girl."
The softness of his hand made her heart flutter, though she quickly turned away, pretending to look at the crowd.
.....
Hours slipped by.
The two spent the afternoon wandering between rides, laughing, arguing, and sharing snacks.
Nino found herself smiling more than she expected—his teasing was exhausting, but his presence was oddly comforting.
By the time the sun dipped low, painting the park in warm hues of orange, they were ready to leave.
"Thanks for spending the day with me, Gojo-kun," Nino said softly, brushing invisible dust off her skirt.
He glanced at her, hands in his pockets. "What are you thanking me for? We're already close enough that thanks don't matter."
Her mind blanked.
Already close enough...?
Her heart raced as she replayed his words.
What did that mean? Were they dating now? Or was he just teasing again?
I gave him my first kiss today… but… does he even realize it?
She glanced at him again.
Only to find—
Gojo was watching a group of pigeons fighting over popcorn, looking as carefree as ever.
Nino sighed. Idiot.
Just as they reached the gate, a loud commotion erupted ahead. A crowd of at least a hundred people had gathered, shouting and murmuring anxiously.
"What's going on?" Nino asked, trying to peek through the crowd.
Before she could take a step, a team of uniformed security guards rushed past them toward the entrance.
"Gojo-kun…" she started to ask—but her voice trailed off when she saw his expression.
Gojo was looking up at the sky, hands still casually tucked in his pockets. His demeanor had changed entirely.
"...Nino," he said quietly. "We can't leave for now."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
He didn't answer immediately. Instead, his unseen eyes tracked something above them.
In the sky, invisible to normal people, a vast barrier shimmered faintly—its edges glowing crimson like spilled blood.
It sealed the entire amusement park.
To most, it looked like nothing. But to Gojo, the energy was unmistakable.
"This isn't good," he murmured, voice calm but sharp. "Whoever cast this intends to use everyone here as a sacrifice."
Nino tensed. "I-Is it like last time?"
He shook his head. "Worse. This time it's bigger. Stronger. They've trapped thousands."
She swallowed hard, glancing at the crowd—families, children, friends—all blissfully unaware of the crimson death that hung above them.
"...What should we do?" she asked softly.
Gojo smiled faintly. "We wait."
"Wait?"
"Mm. Someone interesting is moving inside the barrier."
He tugged Nino gently toward a nearby bench and sat down. She followed, though still tense.
"Relax," Gojo said lightly. "This barrier isn't going to hurt anyone as long as I'm here. Let's just watch the show."
He leaned back, stretching his arms behind his head.
Even now, he looked utterly at ease — like a man waiting for the curtain to rise at a theater.
Nino, though still nervous, found herself calmed by his confidence.
He's so casual even in moments like this... maybe that's why I trust him so easily.
Gojo's focus sharpened slightly.
Within the barrier, he could sense multiple signatures — spiritual pressure, cursed energy, and even faint demonic presence.
'This amusement park isn't as simple as it looks,' he thought. 'Some of these energies… they don't belong to this world.'
A small grin tugged at his lips.
"Amawaka Seigen, Benio Adashino, and even Subaru Mitejima… I wonder if they'll show up too," he murmured. "And that strange energy—definitely not human. Maybe someone made a pact with a demon."
Nino tilted her head. "...You're talking like this is normal."
"For me, it kind of is," Gojo said, chuckling. "Welcome to my chaotic life."
The sound of laughter and screaming from the rides echoed faintly through the sealed air.
Unbeknownst to the people around them, the boundary between worlds was shifting again — blurring the lines of magic, curse, and exorcism.
Gojo stretched, cracked his neck, and smiled lazily.
"Guess our date just got extended."
Nino blinked, half confused, half flustered. "You call this a date?"
"Of course," Gojo replied. "We held hands, shared drinks, and you kissed me. That's pretty date-like to me."
Her face turned bright red. "Y-you're Absurd!"
He grinned wider. "You'll get used to it."
The world outside the barrier faded to a blur of color. Within the sealed park, Gojo Satoru's laughter mingled with Nino's protests — light, chaotic, and alive — as the unseen forces of multiple worlds quietly stirred.
