THE NEXT DAY
Eryx jolted awake with a violent gasp as icy water crashed down on him, soaking his clothes, his bed, his sheets, everything. Cold bit into his skin as he sucked in a sharp breath as his heart slammed against his ribcage.
He wiped water from his eyes and looked up.
Henry stood there, bucket in hand, a smug, satisfied grin stretched across his face.
Rage like no other exploded through Eryx's vein. He moved ready to tear him apart, when he felt a sharp pain exploded through his leg as a heavy lock snapped into place around his ankle.
He froze.
"I'm sorry, Eryx," Philip said quietly, guilt written all over his face. "Those are the orders."
The moment Eryx felt the lock settle, he knew, he was finished for today.
That damn lock. His worst nightmare. It drained all his strength, his wolf, his power, leaving him with nothing but flash and bone. Totally useless.
