Chapter 120 - Why Isn’t Zhu Qing’s Stomach Moving Yet?

In less than a single round, the demoness had already fallen beneath Zhou Sidong's Soul Devouring Domain, her entire soul energy drained completely.

As the red mist on the battlefield dissipated, only Hu Liena and her brother Xie Yue remained, pale-faced, kneeling on one knee, gasping for air. Their soul energy had been sucked dry, leaving them feeling hollowed out.

"Your Martial Soul Fusion technique isn't bad, but you still need more practice. Judging from your current state, it will be difficult to defeat everyone and claim the championship of this Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament," Zhou Sidong said with a smile as he approached the sibling duo.

"Young master, you're so young! Even the Soul Emperor who taught us can't match our Martial Soul Fusion technique," Hu Liena exclaimed, amazed at Zhou Sidong's power—he had defeated them using only his domain.

"Thirteen years old," Zhou Sidong replied casually. "But don't lose heart. I have Full Soul Energy at Level 20 from birth, so my starting point is much higher than yours. Still, diligence makes up for shortcomings—I believe you'll catch up."

With that, Zhou Sidong departed, leaving a dazed Hu Liena and Xie Yue behind.

The Royal Academy was on a two-month break—essentially a summer vacation in Zhou Sidong's past life.

Less than a week before school reopened, Zhou Sidong, after bidding farewell to his mother, grandfather, and adoptive parents, took Zhu Zhuqing flying straight toward Tian Dou City.

Five days later, they arrived in Tian Dou City.

"It hasn't changed a bit in two months," Zhu Qing remarked, looking at the city as if she had never left.

"Zhu Qing, what's your current soul power?" Zhou Sidong asked.

"Forty-seven. Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" Zhu Qing replied, puzzled.

"Six months ago, when you left Shrek Academy, your soul power had just reached thirty. Now, in only half a year, it's at forty-seven. The cultivation boost from the heavenly-grade herbs, soul bones, and the Ice-Fire Two Yin Eye has been crucial," Zhou Sidong explained.

Zhu Qing nodded gravely, realizing that without Zhou Sidong's help, she would have remained with Dai Mubai and the others at Shrek Academy.

According to recent secret reports, Tang San, though fully healed, was still bedridden; Yu Xiaogang was paralyzed for life, only able to move with assistance; Dai Mubai and the others, despite hard training, had only reached level thirty-nine and remained stuck there.

Without the heavenly-grade herbs, even the most diligent attempts at cultivation would be in vain. Meanwhile, Zhu Qing had already surpassed them, thanks to Zhou Sidong's guidance.

"So, I'll never be able to escape you in this life," Zhu Qing teased.

Hearing this, Zhou Sidong wrapped his arms around her slender waist, pinched her delicate nose, and smiled, "Ah, learning to tease me now? Let's see how I handle my little kitten tonight."

They walked and laughed together, quickly reaching Qian Renxue's residence in Tian Dou City through a secret passage.

The sun had set, and Qian Renxue had just returned from her day's work. Without her mother, brother, and sister-in-law, she resumed her solitary daily routine, feeling tired and stiff.

As they walked in, the aroma of food filled the air, causing her stomach to growl. She rarely ate at the Royal Palace, partly for safety, partly because the chefs sent by the Spirit Hall knew her preferences.

The scent suggested tonight's meal would be excellent.

Just as she entered, a pair of black hands covered her eyes. She prepared to resist, but a familiar voice sounded behind her: "Guess who I am?"

Qian Renxue shivered, then quickly freed herself and hugged her brother.

"You! Two months away and you didn't even write a letter?" Qian Renxue scolded, used to having her mother, brother, and sister-in-law around daily.

The reunion of her brother and sister-in-law after their time away brought her immense joy.

Once seated, Qian Renxue suddenly asked, "Zhu Qing, why isn't there any movement yet?"

Zhou Sidong coughed violently, and Zhu Qing looked confused.

"Movement? Sister, what do you mean?" Zhu Qing asked.

Qian Renxue placed her hand on Zhu Qing's flat stomach, puzzled. "It's been half a year with my brother. By now, there should be some movement."

Realizing what she meant, Zhu Qing's face flushed red with embarrassment.

"Cough… cough…" Zhou Sidong coughed even more violently. Although he and Zhu Qing had lived together for six months, nothing had happened yet—they were too young. Zhou Sidong had intended to wait a few more years.

"You're telling me that after six months together, you two still haven't…" Qian Renxue's eyelids twitched as she glanced at the blushing pair.

Reading their expressions, she scolded: "This is a matter of filial piety. You should think about having a child. I want to be an aunt!"

"Play? Have a child?" Zhou Sidong's eyelids twitched. "We're only thirteen. Even our parents haven't pressured us yet. Children aren't something you can just decide on; it's not just ten months of pregnancy, we're not ready to be parents."

Zhu Qing nodded in agreement, still blushing.

"Why don't you have one instead?" Zhou Sidong asked.

"Me? Who's around?" Qian Renxue rolled her eyes. "If only there were men worthy of me…"

Zhou Sidong pounded his chest, coughing, while Zhu Qing was shocked by Qian Renxue's playful remark.

"Are you two the only ones back? Where's Xiao An?" she asked.

"He stayed behind. Mom said he needed someone with him after we left," Zhou Sidong replied. "Only the Demon Tiger Whale King and the Great Soul Shark remain with me. The other three ant brothers are at the Spirit Hall. Since the hall is inland, I let them live in the space created by Xiao Xue. That space also helps soul beasts cultivate."

They stayed with Qian Renxue for two days.

On the third day, early morning, Zhou Sidong and Zhu Qing returned to the Royal Academy.

A new semester began.

Zhou Sidong continued his rigorous academy life, balancing cultivation and training. Life was unusually peaceful—almost too uneventful for him.

A month later, trouble arrived.

On a rest day, while heading to Tian Dou City to reunite with his sister, they were ambushed.

A muscular man blocked their path, with a young boy beside him, clearly his son.

"Wait! Are you Zhou Sidong?"

The man held his head high, his eyes fixed coldly on Zhou Sidong and Zhu Qing.

"Trouble knocking at our door?" Zhou Sidong sighed. "And you are?"

"Call me Tyrone, of the Power Clan," the man said, arms crossed, exuding immense strength.

"I'm Tylon, one of the new Shrek Academy Seven Wonders," the boy followed.

They blocked Zhou Sidong and Zhu Qing, clearly hostile.

"So you're from Shrek Academy?" Zhu Qing's expression hardened.

"Yes!" Tylon nodded, pointing angrily. "You must be Zhou Sidong! You injured one of our students. Today, my father and I are here to settle the score!"

Zhou Sidong now understood—they were from the Power Clan, once affiliated with Haotian Sect. Tyrone was the son of the clan leader; Tylon was his grandson.

"Sidong, be careful. Tang Hao is just a kilometer east," Xiao Xue's voice echoed in Zhou Sidong's mind.

"This is related to Tang Hao. The clan respects him greatly. His son and grandson blocking us must be under his orders," Zhou Sidong thought.

"You're smiling?" Tylon demanded.

"I'm just amused that you're being used as pawns," Zhou Sidong replied, smiling at the muscle-bound father and son.

Typical clan loyalty: the young punished, the elders intervene.

"Today, you'll die!" Tang Hao, observing from afar, waited for the right moment to strike.

Tyrone stepped forward, five soul rings activating, and a yellow-furred gorilla appeared—his representative soul beast: Great Strength Gorilla.

"Prepare to die!"

Tyrone's fists, combining immense power, aimed to crush Zhou Sidong.

At the same time, Tylon activated his three soul rings but was no match for Zhu Qing. Using her Ghost Cat Soul, she toyed with him, leaving claw marks and blood across his body.

Tyrone leapt, gathering all his strength, hoping to severely injure Zhou Sidong.

"Sidong, be careful," Zhu Qing warned.

"Child's play. But the elders might still intervene," Zhou Sidong muttered.

Zhou Sidong positioned Zhu Qing behind him. From a kilometer away, Tang Hao prepared to strike with the Haotian Hammer.

"Xiao Xue, Spirit Fusion!" Zhou Sidong silently commanded.

"Got it!"

Instantly, their forms fused. A powerful aura sent Tyrone flying, and in moments, Zhou Sidong, clad in golden armor, wielded his Angel Sword, severing Tyrone's right arm in an instant.

"Impossible! His aura approaches a Douluo title level! We underestimated him!" Tang Hao realized too late.

"Where are you going?" Zhou Sidong smiled, pointing his sword at Tang Hao.
