"What's wrong? Can't answer?" Melody Thorne smiled like an enchanting spirit, mimicking his action and bit at the corner of his lips. "Why possess me if you don't love me? Don't you think that's selfish?"
Jared stared at her. It was because he wanted to possess her, so he did. He didn't really understand what love was, but he knew the emotion he felt when he saw Melody floating with open eyes under the sea, it was fury far beyond anything he'd ever experienced, even more so than when someone tried to kill him.
Even that feeling of having his heart ripped out.
If that was considered love, then so be it.
"Love." He lowered his head to continue kissing her, unbuttoning her clothes as he moved slowly downward.
