Natalie Vaughn looked panicked, with a fear in her eyes that Phoebe Quinn had never seen before.
Seeing her like this, Phoebe felt a sting in her nose. After knowing Nina for so many years, when had she ever seen her like this?
"She's doing well, Nina, don't worry. She's safe and sound. You just need to rest well, and in eight months you'll definitely have a healthy baby."
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief, light returning to her eyes.
"Really?"
She lowered her head, gently touching her belly. Her expression softened. It was strange, when Natalie wasn't yet aware of her pregnancy, nothing seemed different, but once she knew, it seemed she exuded a maternal glow.
Seeing her like this, Phoebe also relaxed.
"Really."
She reached out and gently touched Natalie's belly.
"My goddaughter will definitely be healthy."
Though the pregnancy came unexpectedly, Natalie considered the child a surprise, a gift from the heavens.
