"I have something to attend to at home and the housekeeper has already approved it," Summer Shawcross had thought of a pretext ahead of time, lowering her head and feigning distress.
Due to the dim lighting outside, coupled with her makeup, the security guard probably wouldn't recognize her.
Hearing her excuse, the security guard glanced at her but didn't make things difficult. Instead, he simply opened the gate and let her through.
"Hurry along!"
"Thank you..." Summer nodded and then smoothly left The Hillside Villa.
As soon as she exited the iron gate, a taxi was parked at the entrance, waiting for her.
It was the cab she had booked online before coming downstairs.
"Are you Miss Summer?" the driver asked courteously as she approached.
Hearing this, Summer nodded, opened the car door, and got in. She had only filled in the last character of her name while booking, which is why the driver addressed her as Miss Summer.
