"Come on, he should be back by now." Xenon complained impatiently as he paced around the sitting room.
"Calm down young master, I'm sure master Gael will be back soon." Qweri reassured him.
"Maybe I should just get going, I'll meet up with him on the way." Xenon said and meant to carry his luggage before Elsa stopped him.
"Stop worrying, there's still time, Gael will be back soon." She made him sit next to her and wait for Gael. Some minutes later he arrived.

"What took you so long?". Xenon asked immediately he saw Gael.
"Cecil's men, they're already being stationed around the forest surrounding the manor, I had to be careful not to get caught." Gael said
"Fuck! This is not good!" Xenon shouted
"My friend whom you'll be staying with is already waiting at the outer edge of the forest. I won't be able to follow you to him anymore so as to not get caught, I'll just show you the path to take, the rest is up to you." Gael explained.
Xenon gritted his teeth. "Yeah, thanks, you've done a lot already, let's get going." He turned to his sister. "See you later, Elsa, Qweri."
"See you." Elsa forced a smile.
"Hurry up boy." Qweri said.
Gael and Xenon ran out of the mansion towards the forest surrounding the manor. They ran for sometime before they got to an area where a lot of bushes and shrubs are, Gael stopped.
"If you keep going straight this way you should meet my friend at the far end of the forest." Gael said, motioning to the dense shrubs in front of them. "There is a path through the forest, but Cecil's men are already there, this is the safest route you can take. I'll be stopping here, the rest is up to you Xenon."
"Thank you Gael." Xenon replied and went into the bushes, going straight as Gael told him.
"Kusin... Kusin! Come out". Xenon called out to the spirit
'Yeah, what do you want?' It replied annoyed.
"Can you help me scout my surroundings so I can evade Cecil's men before getting too close, I really need to get out of here as fast as possible". Xenon said
'Okay, sure'. Kusin replied.
"Sprint!". Xenon said to the system.

Xenon's average speed had increased to about 93 mph after getting his ability, Hypercelerity. The skill, sprint, he created boosts his speed to almost double, allowing him to run at the speed of about 169 mph for a minute at the cost of spiritual energy.
He was able to evade the lot of ambushers on the way due to Kusin searching them out before he got close to them.

And ran, until he could see the edge of the forest just ahead. He stopped and gasped for breath, greedily taking in all the air around him.
"This is the first time I've used Sprint continuously for that long. I'm fucking tired". He muttered, he was out of breath and covered with sweat.

"I can't stop now, I might've reached the edge of the forest, but I haven't reached the village". Xenon readied himself and "Sprint". He started to run really fast, although slower than before.
He was almost out of the forest before he stepped into a trap, it was too well hidden to notice it and he was too slow to evade it. "Phase". Xenon said to the system, his body began to vibrate so fast it matched the frequency of air.
He phased through the trap but due to his haste didn't see the man in front of him, he noticed too late to evade. He tried to push but collided with the man and together they fell hard and rolled forward a few meters on the forest floor.
Xenon stood up immediately and aimed to run quickly out of the forest, he wanted to move but noticed his right arm was stuck in something. He looked back and his eyes opened wide, his body trembled.
"No...no...no...n...oo...fuck". Xenon stammered.
His arm was held tightly by the man he thought he pushed away. The man fell to his knees, bringing Xenon down with him, he coughed blood which flew onto Xenon.
"Please...please". The man cried. "Don't do this".
"Ah...its...I...no". Xenon couldn't form any words, he tried to draw away his right arm, but the man screamed in pain and clutched to it tightly.
'Fuck fuck fuck...I must have still been phasing when I fell unto him...why the fuck did this have to happen'. Xenon thought, he looked at the man's left chest where his right arm was stuck in, it was bleeding a lot.

Xenon tried to move his fingers, the man screamed louder and fell to his back, Xenon also fell forward crouching over the crying man.
"Don't move it...please...I don't...want to die". The man cried and spurt blood all over Xenon.
"You won't...you won't die". Xenon was sweating immensely and trembling now,he put his left palm over the place his right arm was in and tried to stop the bleeding, it didn't work. "Don't die... you ca... can't"
The man gasped for breath. "I...I...i can't...can't breathe". He wheezed, his punctured heart beat very slowly, his chest rose and fell very slightly.
"No no no no...just hang on mister, let me get you to the village". Xenon tried to carry the man but he was exhausted already and just fell onto the man, this however jolted the man awake, he cried in pain again.
"Xenon, is that you?" Another appeared beside Xenon. "It's me, Steve, Gael's friend, I've been waiting for you for long, we gotta go".
"I...ca...help me". He stammered as tears flowed down his face.

Steve looked down and saw the man with Xenon's arm in him, he was beyond saving. He gritted his teeth and grabbed Xenon's shirt by the neck and dragged him.
"What do you think you're doing! You're gonna kill him!" Xenon screamed.
"He's going to die anyway, let's go we're out of time." He dragged Xenon, but Xenon resisted.
"Do you think you're sparing him by sitting there, no, you're just delaying the inevitable, now come before the others get here, or do you just want your efforts in getting here to be wasted." He dragged Xenon, but he resisted again.
He kicked Xenon squarely in the chest and dragged him so hard that he violently ripped his arm from the dying man's chest and flung him forward. The man screamed, Xenon sobbed. Steve dragged Xenon and threw him into a cart just by the edge of the forest and rode off just as footsteps approached them.
Xenon sitting down lifelessly in the cart just stared at his bloodied arms as tears streamed down his face.
