===========================================================

The ultimatum hung in the air between them, a tangible thing amidst the fiery glow of Ace's wings. Vice Admiral Doll, a veteran of the New World's harshest seas, stared at the man before her. She saw not the reckless rookie from the papers, but a king, calm and absolute, who had just offered her a courtesy she had not earned. But she was a Marine. Her justice was unwavering.

"My duty is to the World Government," she declared, her voice tight but resolute as she charged, her sword aimed true. "And my duty is to eliminate you!"

Ace sighed, a sound of genuine disappointment. "I really hoped you wouldn't say that."

He didn't meet her blade with his own. Instead, as her sword came within inches of his face, he did something utterly baffling. He let go of his own sword. Ace fell, tumbling through the air. In the same motion, he shot forward, his body moving with an impossible fluidity, and caught her sword-arm by the wrist. His grip was like steel.

Doll's eyes widened in shock. Before she could react, he spun, using her own momentum against her, and twisted her arm behind her back, trapping her in an unbreakable hold. In the same fluid movement, his other hand shot down and caught the hilt of his falling sword. The entire exchange took less than a second.

He now held her from behind, his flaming wings beating gently to keep them both aloft, the edge of his own blade resting lightly against her throat. She hadn't just been defeated; she had been dismantled.

"Your duty is to protect the innocent," Ace whispered in her ear, his voice no longer a king's command, but a man's quiet suggestion. "A beautiful island like Applenine deserves to have its protector return home alive. Go home, Vice Admiral. This is not your fight."

He released her. He didn't push her away; he simply let her go and pulled back, a gesture of profound, almost chivalrous respect. Doll just hovered there for a moment, stunned into silence, her mind reeling. He had the power to kill her in an instant, but had chosen to spare her with a grace that was completely at odds with his fearsome reputation.

While Ace dueled in the skies, a new threat descended upon the frozen bay. A shower of golden light particles coalesced high above the battlefield, forming into the lanky, relaxed figure of Admiral Kizaru.

"Oh my, oh my," his voice drawled, echoing with unnatural clarity. "What a troublesome situation. A traitorous former colleague and a rebellious phoenix... it seems I'll have to work overtime."

His fingers lifted, aimed not at the main event, but directly at the recovering Marco, who was shielding the unconscious forms of his crewmates. "Yasakani no Magatama."

A torrent of devastating light beams rained down. But before they could connect, a massive, crystalline wall interposed itself. Jozu grunted, the impacts sparking harmlessly off his diamond form. Simultaneously, a blizzard of ice shot up from the ground, forming a thick, misty barrier that absorbed and diffused the remaining energy.

Kuzan stood beside Jozu, his hands plunged into the ice, his breath frosting the air. "Borsalino," he said, his voice a low rumble. "Couldn't you just watch from a distance?"

"Now, now, Kuzan," Kizaru chided, landing lightly on the ice a short distance away. "That would be dereliction of duty." In a flash, he was upon them, his leg sweeping in a golden arc aimed at Kuzan's head. "Light Speed Kick."

CLANG!

The kick was blocked not by ice, but by the gleaming, diamond-hard forearm of Jozu, the impact ringing out like a gong.

"Don't ignore me, Admiral," Jozu growled, pushing back against the immense force.

Marco, his blue flames flickering as he regained his strength, landed beside them, his eyes fixed on Kizaru. "He's too fast to handle defensively. We need to press him together."

Kizaru merely smirked, his body beginning to dissolve into light again. "So scary~"

But before he could relocate, a flurry of shimmering, rainbow-like slashes filled the air around him. Vista, his twin blades a blur, forced the Admiral to momentarily solidify and dodge, the cutting energy shearing off a chunk of the ice where he'd been standing.

"The 'Greatest Swordsman in the Whitebeard Pirates' joins the fray," Vista announced, falling into a graceful stance beside his comrades. "You will not find us such easy prey, Admiral."

The four titans stood facing each other, the air crackling with their combined power. Marco, seeing the flickering golden aura around Whitebeard in the distance, made a snap decision.

"Kuzan," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Go. Ace need you. This is our fight now."

Jozu nodded, cracking his diamond knuckles. "We can handle this glorified spotlight. The main event is over there."

Kuzan glanced at the three commanders, then towards the epicenter where Whitebeard and Kong were trading blows that shook the very foundations of Marineford. He gave a slow, single nod. "Don't get kicked to death," he said, and then his body dissolved into a flurry of ice, shooting across the battlefield towards the clash of kings.

Kizaru made to intercept, but Marco was instantly in his path, a flash of blue fire delivering a powerful kick that the Admiral blocked with a grunt. Jozu and Vista fanned out to either side, surrounding him.

"It's three on one, Borsalino," Marco said, his eyes blazing. "Let's see how brightly you can shine."

As Kuzan arrived beside Ace in the sky, borne on a pillar of ice, the dynamic of the war shifted irrevocably. Ace just grinned. "Let's give him one hot cold dish."

What happened next would be seared into the nightmares of every survivor. It was not a battle. It was a judgment. From the left, Kuzan unleashed "Ice Age: Glacial Basin," a wave of absolute cold that didn't just freeze the Marines, but encased entire ships in tombs of jagged, eternal ice, the screams of the trapped silenced in an instant. From the right, Ace unleashed a "Cruel Sun: Burst," a swirling orb of condensed solar plasma that expanded outwards, vaporizing two battleships and a swath of the ice field in a silent, searing flash of incinerating white light.

And in the center, Whitebeard, seeing his son join the fray, let out a final, triumphant roar that split the heavens. He planted his feet, the ice cracking beneath him, and poured every last ounce of his one-minute prime into a single, conclusive blow. He slammed his bisento into Kong's guard. The impact was not a simple shockwave; it was the concentrated essence of the Gura Gura no Mi, a vibration that bypassed mere armor and sought to shatter the very structure of what it touched. Kong's legendary Armament Haki, a shield that had weathered the attacks of Rocks and Roger, did not just crack—it splintered. The energy traveled up his arms, rattling his bones and jarring his internal organs. He was not thrown back by raw power alone, but by the disintegration of his own defensive stance. He skidded backwards, his boots carving deep trenches in the ice, before his body finally gave way, crashing through the deck of his flagship with a devastating impact that spoke of internal trauma and shattered momentum.

The combination of Quake, Ice, and Fire was an apocalypse. The government's forces were not just defeated; they were annihilated.

It was in that moment of ultimate release, as his "Cruel Sun" technique consumed the fleet, that Ace felt something shift inside him. For a single, fleeting second—less than a heartbeat—his perception of the world transformed. The roaring battlefield fell silent. He didn't hear sounds; he felt the pulse of energy itself—the frantic, cold signatures of fleeing Marines, the steady, warm thrum of his crewmates, the dying ember of Kong's immense power, and the brilliant, but flickering, supernova of his father's life force. The air around him didn't just shimmer; it bent, as if he were a gravitational center. In that instant, his flaming wings didn't just burn; they became streams of pure, living ignition, and his eyes saw not light, but the very thermal fabric of reality. The crossed "S" in his "ASCE" tattoo flared with a searing, divine gold.

Then, it was gone. The sensation vanished as quickly as it came, leaving only a profound, disorienting echo in his soul and a faint, wisp of golden smoke rising from his tattoo. He was just Ace again, panting slightly from the exertion, the world's noise crashing back in. But he knew, with a certainty that chilled him to his core, that something had been unlocked.

From the wreckage of his flagship, Kong, coughing up blood, his arms numb and his Haki shattered, used the last of his command authority to roar the one order he had left. "RETREAT! ALL FORCES, RETREAT!"

The remaining ships, those few that had escaped the cataclysm, turned and fled, a broken, terrified remnant of the force that had arrived so confidently. Pirates let out a deafening, unified roar of victory that echoed across the sea.

As the last enemy ship vanished into the mist, the golden light around Whitebeard finally faded. But he didn't collapsed to his knees, he fainted while standing still, a monument to his own will, his body instantly reverting to its old, wounded state. Bonney, on the deck of the Moby Dick, crumpled to the ground, completely drained, her monumental task complete.

The war was over. They had won.

Later, after the chaos had settled, Ace found Bonney sitting on the railing of the Moby Dick, staring out at the sea, a small plate with a single, massive slice of meat on it resting beside her. She looked small, her usual fiery energy gone, replaced by a quiet exhaustion.

"You were incredible today," Ace said, his voice soft as he walked up beside her. "You saved him. You saved all of us. Thank you."

Bonney's face flushed, and she looked away, stuffing a huge piece of meat into her mouth to keep from having to reply.

Ace just chuckled. He gently took the plate from the railing and held it for her. "Here," he said. "Easier to eat this way."

She stared at him, then at the plate, then back at him. The handsome prince, after saving her and winning the war, was now acting like her personal butler. Her mind, a whirlwind of her tough-girl persona and her inner twelve-year-old princess, completely short-circuited. She snatched the plate back, her blush now a furious, burning red.

"I can hold my own plate, you idiot!" she snapped, before turning away to hide her flustered expression, though she couldn't stop the small, smile that touched her lips.

Kuzan, now seated in a newly crafted ice chair and nursing a minor burn on his shoulder from his skirmish, watched the entire exchange, a deeply amused grin on his face.

Ace just shook his head, a weak smile on his face. He looked out at his fleet, at his new, powerful ally, at the strange, fierce girl beside him, and at the horizon where his recovering father slept. They were a crazy and utterly dysfunctional family. And he was their king.

"Marco," he said into his Den Den Mushi. "Set a course for the New World."

"What's the plan, Captain?" Marco's voice came back, filled with a newfound energy, though it was tinged with the fatigue of his fight.

Ace looked out at the sea, his eyes burning with the fire of his ambition.

"For six months, Blackbeard has been sitting on our father's lands, thinking we were broken," he said, his voice a low, dangerous growl that carried across the silent deck. "He was wrong."

His voice became a promise to the entire world. "The plan is simple. We're going home. And we're taking back every last inch of it."
