Referee: Round 2, phase 1, first half start!
Greg used a '1' and Oli used a '1' in the first half.
Oli: I wonder, Greg. Will you use the Joker in the second half?
Greg waits a second or two before answering.
Greg: Maybe yeah, maybe not.
Oli: Hm? Why won't you just tell me? By the way, I'm ready.
Greg used a 'J' and Oli used a 'J' in the second half.
Referee: Two Joker would duel so the cards played on the first half will duel instead, also with their reciprocal value! Both players used '1', so it's a tie! Let's start phase 2!
Greg's remaining hand: '2' '3' '4' 'J' - wins this round - 0
Oli's remaining hand: '2' '3' '4' 'J' - wins this round - 0
Oli: I see something on your face, Greg. Something bothering you?
Greg: I get it now... You can read intentions when people answer. You can tell when they lie... right?
Oli: Exactly. That's me. You know what that means?
Greg: Tch. What?
Oli: That even if you don't answer... I'll still know what you're planning. I can see through you!
Oli while telling this to Greg, he leans over the table, with an... Insane or crazy smile on his face? He seems a lot different this time than usual.
Oli: You know, I will win this match! And the... I WILL FACE WITH TODOR!
Greg: Are you CRAZY? You did not win yet!
Oli: I see through everyone, but Todor, he is different. As if he would give no signs of what he is thinking or will do! But I just... I HAVE TO FIND THEM! NOBODY CAN BE ACTUALLY PERFECT!
Greg: CAN YOU STOP?!?
Oli: No... I can't... I NEED TO play against HIM, that way... I could get to know HIM MORE! And if I can get to know HIM MORE then I MIGHT find his errors! NO MATTER how hard it is to find them or how small they are!
The time almost ran out to do anything in the first half but in the last moment, they both did something.
Oli: Oh... haha, it would have been too simple to distract you from the game so easily!
Greg used a '2' and Oli used a '2' in the first half.
Oli: We used the same? You know what that means!?
Greg: The heck would that mean?
Oli: We are literally in the same position! And I can see through you! That means you have no chance! Just like in the first Round! But... We could try to... PLAY OUR CARDS RANDOMLY AGAIN!
Greg: You really are an insane man! You actually would have such an advantage and you want to just gamble instead?
Oli: That is much more exciting after all isn't it? Accept it Greg! Accepting it would only increase the chances of you winning!
Greg (The hell is this guy? He suddenly changed! This is the first time he acts like this! Does he have multiple personalities? Also... I think he is telling the truth! Would he really throw away his guaranteed victory just because it would be boring to him? But he also wants to play against Todor so bad and if he loses he won't be able to! Or is he that confident about his luck?)
Oli: Gamble Greg! The time is almost up!
Greg used a '4' and Oli used a '3' in the second half.
Referee: '4' is stronger than '3', so phase 2 is won by Greg! Phase 3 starts now!
Greg's remaining hand: '2' '3' 'J' - wins this round - 1
Oli's remaining hand: '2' '4' 'J' - wins this round - 0
Oli: Haaahhh! How interesting! Seems like you got lucky now Greg!
Greg (Am I actually gonna just... play randomly? This is literally gambling)
Oli: Don't question yourself Greg! You know very well that your best chance now is gambling!
Greg (The heck he reads my mind now?)
Greg: I guess no other way it could be done then! Alright! Let's gamble!
Greg (I'm only okay with it because I'm in the winning position right now, so Oli will have less of a chance of winning this round!)
Oli: Okay! Let's randomly select your card then!
Greg used a 'J' and Oli used a '2' in the first half.
Oli: And now same with the second half! It's all about luck after all!
Greg used a '2' and Oli used a '4' in the second half.
Referee: '4' is stronger than '2', so phase 3 is won by Oli! Phase 4 starts now!
Greg's remaining hand: '3' 'J' - wins this round - 1
Oli's remaining hand: '2' 'J' - wins this round - 1
Greg (There is a really high chance this round will be a tie like this)
Oli: Now let's see if you will keep getting lucky! Or will I already win this fast against Greg himself?
Sigh... Greg shuffles his last two cards under the table, and instead of deciding himself he tries something else.
Greg: Oli, should I use the card that is in my left or the one in my right hand?
Oli: Oho? So you are going to let me choose for you now? ALRIGHT! I DONT MIND, USE THE ONE IN YOU LEFT HAND!
Greg: Then let's both use our cards now!
Greg used a '3' and Oli used a 'J' in the first half.
Greg (Ha-! That, that is it!? It's a tie! This round is a tie! My 'J' will beat his '2' in the second phase [2 - 1] and then his 'J' will beat my 3! [2 - 2], it will be a tie, it's not over yet!)
Oli just watches Greg, he sees the joy in him... and so Oli cannot contain his laughter much longer.
Oli: HAHAHAHAA!! WHY ARE YOU SO HAPPY?
Greg: khm... Dont you see? Is there a problem maybe?
Oli: You really... you are this far in the games of this show, with the max point yet possible, yet you have not realised? You truly are... NEVER HAD AND WILL NEVER HAVE ANY CHANCE TO WIN THIS MAGNIFICENT SHOW CALLED BIG WIN CHANCE GAME!
Greg: What are you talking about? We were literally just gambled, and nevertheless I won the gamble! Not you!
Oli: Come on Greg, THINK! You are better than that, what do the rules say? Did you not recognize the pattern? Of the GLORIOUS BIG WIN CHANCE GAME?
Greg: Pattern? What pattern?
Greg starts thinking about previous games they have played, not just his, but others matches as well
FIRST: The "Score Up!" game. Greg successfully beat Tomi - but how? He did something unexpected, something that others, or more likely most people would not think about. Either because it's absurd, hard to pull out a working strategy, or because it just thinks it's against the rules but it was never stated it is. Greg started to work together with others to switch the cards to deceive Tomi to think he is in the lead the whole time.
Also, in Adam's match of "Score Up!" Bandeer was most likely not using that strategy actually, just made the others believe he does that, but he was next to the referee the whole time, life if he would want to peek at what everyone plays.
SECOND: "Record Of the Four Kingdom" - Greg himself did nothing that would seem like it would be cheating except the act of trying to hit Bandeer. - What is more interesting, is not the match of Greg, but the match of Todor, who claimed to win that game by hacking the system to see in real time what others choose in the moment so he can perfectly counter them.
THIRD: "Action Game" - Todor turned the table which was for some reason had a perfectly square tabletop and all cards that were dealt got shifted by one - literally forcing a 4 way tie
Greg: There was something every match... Something that seemed like something is really of, broken or is just straight up against the rules - but not, and was actually legal to do in the game, seems like as long as something is not written into the rules, they are not against the rules, you can use them if it's not including using violence.
Oli: Yes Greg! That's it! You are close
Referee: 5 SECONDS!
Greg used a 'J' and Oli used a '2' in the second half.
Greg: There was something in every game so far... That means that... This game has to have something too? And so... Might that be... Something with the current situation?
Referee: Both players used a 'J' this phase, so the cards will, for this duel, be valued as the reciprocal of what is on the card - '2' --> '1/2' and 'J' as the strongest/wins against anything --> weakest/ loses to everything.
Referee: The reciprocal of '2' is stronger than the reciprocal of 'J', so Oli wins the 4th phase! The next is phase 5, so there will only be a second half!
Greg's remaining hand: '3' - wins this round - 1
Oli's remaining hand: 'J' - wins this round - 2
At that moment, Greg understood...
FLASHBACK
"Referee-1: Reciprocal: If both Joker are played in the same Sub-Round - For example, in the case of Special duel"
"... 'J' beats all except 'J' - 'J' cannot duel against 'J' - If 'J' would have to duel against 'J', a special duel will happen."
FLASHBACK ENDS
Greg: They never said that for the reciprocal rule to happen, any of the 'J'-s have to be played on the 2nd half - They just phrased it so if someone does not think about it in and analyze the rules enough, to miss that... They just used the special rule case as an example, and not as what is the only possibility for the reciprocal to occur.
Oli: That is right! And now you know what will happen!
Greg: I... I actually lost.
Referee: The results of the 5th phase is:
Greg used a '3' and Oli used a 'J' in the second half.
Referee: 'J' is stronger than '3', so Oli wins the 5th phase! Oli has won 3 phases this round! Meaning that Oli wins this, the second round, which is also the second round won by Oli, meaning that Oli won the Joker's Gambit!
