One month before Luis's 7th birthday.
Luis was disturbed from his dream by his father's voice "Luis! get up dinners gonna be ready soon." His father's voice came from outside his room sounding firm but familiar.
Luis didn't want to leave the softness of his bed just yet but this was already the third time he called him. Reluctantly he got up
After waking up Luis went to the bathroom washed his face, brushed his teeth, and then went and, took a shower.
Luis now being 6 years old was around 3 feet 6 inches tall. He had short black hair, and very bright brown eyes, Luis was light-skinned, and he was also neither chubby nor slim he was fit for his age.
As Luis was taking his shower he was humming the song he heard on the last village festival, he was excited since tonight there would be another village festival between the seven neighboring villages.
By the time Luis was done showering breakfast was already ready his father was pouring some tea and his mom was putting some fruits on the table.
Luis sat down, ate some bread, and looked at his mother ash he asked in a curious tone.
"Mama, how much longer are you gonna have a big stomach?"
he asked, his words muffled as he said them while eating.
Noah then said in a sharp tone.
"Luis, I told you that's not what you say did? When people are pregnant you should ask them, 'How much longer will you be pregnant?' Not about how much longer will you have a big stomach."
Luis gulped.
"Sorry, Mama."
Elena chuckled.
"It's alright, Luis just don't say that to strangers it's considered rude. Also in Just two more months, you'll have a baby brother or sister to play with maybe even both."
Luis's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Really? Can they come to festivals with me in the future?"
Noah smiled.
"Yes but not for this year, but maybe next year."
After breakfasts Luis had his morning aura training with his dad, he would have this four times a week, today the training happened outside in the forest surrounding the village, Luis sat under a tree on a mat.
"Alright, Luis. Let's do the same as always focus on your breathing try to guide your aura to at least two parts of your body and see how stable you can be while moving those parts of your body."
Luis was now able to focus on his aura easier even if he was thinking about other things such as the festival or what to eat he would still be able to focus on the aura. He was also able to make some movements even though they were very stiff and it took a lot of effort for him to move while using aura it was impressive for his age. He could transfer aura to one of his limbs and be able to move it freely, he could also transfer aura to two of his limb but then it was almost impossible for him to be able to move those limb because if he did he would lose control and the aura would dissipate.
Still for Luis's age even moving one limb was impressive. The last time he was training he was able to put a small dent in a tree because of his arm being reinforced with aura.
His father though was impressed by something else thinking inwardly
"Luis's quantity of aura is slightly more than kids his age. One of the ways aura capacity increases is by continuously using it and with Luis's aura instinctually being used to help strengthen his body against the Phoenix essence, his aura reserves were steadily increasing. The best part about this was unlike other people who had to slowly gather aura from different parts of their body when they first began training, Luis could just gather most of it from his chest because that's the place the Phoenix essence was present. Not everything about this was positive though, the Phoenix essence in Luis's body would constantly consume a small amount of Luis's aura reserves. This in turn would slow down the amount of time it would take him to gather aura from the air and his surroundings. But still this was nowhere near enough aura that Luis would need to in the future to survive."
Now speaking out loud
"Okay Luis, in the future we'll start working on increasing your aura capacity. But for now, let's keep working on improving your control."
After the mediation ended Luis got ready to go to school. It would only happen three times a week, Luis didn't partially love them but he did not hate them either as he could play with his friends and watch the older kids use aura, kids from the other villages also came to Luis's village for the classes.
Today in class one older girl with blue hair was showing her ability as a demonstration of her blessing. She used her ability to form a mist that cooled the classroom and also cooled down everyone's drinks it was a very useful ability.
Luis had heard about how she got the blessing, she had saved a middle tier rank 1 snow fox cub, the creature appreciated this and had given her its blessing. Luis wanted to see the fox but the creature decided it was gonna go with its family, the village also had rules to not make creatures stay if they did not want to, if they didn't like the climate or if they wanted to leave with their family. His mom did tell him that the girl was lucky because if the adult snow fox had seen her, it might have killed her sensing that it would have been dangerous for a village to know its position or that they might spot its kids and try to kidnap them for its blessing.
Luis sighed, wondering when the lessons would finally focus more on fun stuff like more about blessings or aura because his parents had already taught him half the things they learned.
After school, Luis was excited because he would be going to the festival with his neighbors because his mom said she needed to rest today and his dad was taking care of her, but this meant Luis would be able to eat more snacks as his parents wouldn't be there to stop him.
"Ready, Luis?" the woman asked, smiling down at him.
The neighbors he was going with were named Rico and Mira two older kids around eighteen years old who were the son and daughter of their neighbors (their neighbors were surviving members of the Phoenix clan).
Luis was very excited while on the walk towards the village that hosted the festival this year, he knew today was gonna be an amazing day.
