Andrew was still at the hospital. He hurried to the payment counter with the medical bill in hand when his whole body suddenly stiffened, freezing in place.
After a long moment, the person across from him spoke first.
"Long time no see. You've gained weight."
He was too shocked to speak. The slip of paper in his hand fell to the floor.
"…Aurora?"
Aurora smiled faintly. "It's me. You didn't expect to see me again, did you? I'm back. I've come for all of you. I won't hide anymore. I won't let my daughter be hurt again."
Sophia supported her from the side, staring coldly at the man opposite them. "Whether Olivia survives or not, old grudges and new ones all need to be settled. It's time we had an ending."
Andrew looked as if his soul had left his body. He slowly crouched down, fingers trembling as he picked up the bill. When he straightened again, the two women were already walking away. He tried to follow, but his legs felt weak and unsteady.
