Chapter 5: Na'er, the silver haired girl

During afternoon class, Elysium leisurely strolled through the renovated hallways of Red Mountain Academy. Some were even still being painted by workers in the same colors as before.

In the distance, the awakening room was still under construction and in no rush to be completed. Since awakenings only occur once a year, the completion period was still quite long.

"Well, this is boring, actually." Elysium yawned and decided to pass the time by meditating during the activity.

Of course, he still meditated while walking, eating, and even in the bathroom or while he slept. It wasn't difficult to do, and he still didn't understand why humans in this world continued to do it, often sitting on the floor for hours.

"I should request some zelo powder from Elysium Fortress. With this, my consciousness would fly over the moon and he could access the immaterium at this moment."

But that would probably destroy this planet and everything in it would become as crazy as a drug addict.

"Forget it, but I still need to access the shroud to continue improving my psychic power. But that's for the future."

In the courtyard, Elysium sat on the bench, observing the movement patterns and social activities of the people of this world. He wrote it in the common language of the federation so that none of the people on this barbaric continent could understand the content.

After some time, Elysium completed his observations and found nothing particularly interesting. The people on this planet generally behaved like humans in the past.

Attend school from morning to afternoon, meditate and improve your soul power, and also get back to your parents. There were no signs that they possessed anything that suggested they could achieve genetic recombination or gene modification technology.

"But strangely, Tang Wulin still has a trace of his body that's different from normal humans. The gravity in this world is normal, and there's no difference at all. The atmospheric pressure is also normal, but he can exert a power that even surpasses that of normal humans in the old era."

Yet somehow, he didn't have any excess muscle mass, and his muscle density was no different from that of normal children his age.

"Should I get his blood? No, that's risky. A person who can achieve such strength has a secret they're hiding. In this game, my real body probably started playing his chess game."

And he, as his pawn in this world, has also been included in this game.

This Aolai City harbors two truly interesting individuals. One is suspected of having gene modification, and the other is a soul beast that has transformed. The two of them alone are worthy of a sociological experiment.

"Then, I can't hold back any longer. Just use my psychic power to raise my level to level 10 and condense my soul ring with psychic power," Elysium thought, and this plan was feasible.

He wanted to do it right now, but something caught his eye. A silver-haired girl who was a soul beast transformed into a human, a magical being he desperately wanted to dissect right now.

But he still restrained himself, refusing to let that thought become reality. Right now, just observe from the sidelines and observe each of her lives, add some variables to see changes in her behavior, and see if, if she gave birth to a human child, would the child be a soul beast or a human with soul beast characteristics?

"Hey, is your class over? I want to apologize for my rude behavior toward you earlier." Elysium approached Na'er, still maintaining his distance, and bowed slowly.

Na'er seemed wary of this stranger approaching her, but didn't exactly reject him either. She simply stared at this strange kid wearing a white lab coat with a logo written in an alphabet that didn't exist in this world.

A full English alphabet used in the federation. If she could read it, then she would see 'Federation Research and Development' with nine gold stars that stood out prominently.

"Ahem, let me introduce myself. My name is Elysium, a classmate of your brother Tang Wulin. Well, this is our third time seeing each other." Elysium waved his hand and didn't extend it this time.

Well, if this action won't get a response, then there's no need to do it again.

"Na'er," the silver-haired girl said in a low, mosquito-like tone.

"Na'er, right? Why don't we sit down right here? The sunlight will burn your skin and cause it to tan. It will make your brother dislike you if your skin tans." Elysium patted a bench beside him as he took out an ice cream cone from the metal box he had made.

The thing is, Eva wouldn't mind giving up some worthless items in the cafeteria. Some foods with no effect were open to him, but anything considered cheating would not be allowed.

So, he enjoyed ice cream in the rather hot weather. This city was a small town that seemed to be on the outskirts. But because it was summer, the weather was very hot. Coupled with the fairly high humidity, enjoying ice cream in this weather was truly delicious.

"Oh, please. You don't have to worry too much about me. I'm not a kidnapper or anything; well, you won't find anyone kidnapping people in broad daylight like this."

Na'er remained motionless while seeming wary of Elysium. But her eyes couldn't take off the ice cream, which had a berry aroma that seemed sour yet sweet. It wasn't a strong flavor like the ones sold nearby, but a rich aroma from the fruit that looked so fresh.

"Oh, you want some? I have some if you want." Elysium opened another ice cream cone and handed it to Na'er.

She slowly took a bite, but instead of feeling the painful cold, she felt a soft, creamy sensation like a Slurpee with a combination of mixed berries. While standing there, she ate the ice cream silently, her head lowered.

Meanwhile, Elysium began to note various things about Na'er from the sidelines. Not only did she display apprehension when meeting other humans, her quiet demeanor and even her act of eating with her head lowered.

Elysium had finished the ice cream in his hand and bit into the stick, tasting the crunch and flavor of the warm bread. It's a strange dessert with zero waste from Federation.

"Teacher Lin Ximeng probably won't shut up if I skip any more than this." Elysium stood up, brushed off his lab coat, and patted his butt. "Well, bye-bye, Na'er."

Elysium waved and left, leaving Na'er still enjoying something truly delicious. Even the ice cream stick was edible and tasted like warm bread. What a miraculous dessert.

She only came to her senses when she took her last bite of the ice cream. When she looked around, she was alone in this lonely park with several cultural students returning home with their parents.
