Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The glutton Na'er

Chapter 7: The glutton Na'er

The term "knowledge" itself is so broad that its scope encompasses general knowledge, specialized knowledge, and even esoteric knowledge.

The more Elysium receives strange knowledge from the Whisperer of the Void, the more severe the knowledge will be stripped from the enemy. He will also be driven insane by audiovisual hallucinations, further reducing the enemy to an idiot.

The second soul skill is the Whisperer.

As the name suggests, this skill will infect the target with the unknown Whisperer. This soul skill will reveal various secrets that a person most desires to know. Essentially, there are no secrets among us, as the Whisperer of the Void is the being who knows all secrets.

Even on the slimmest of occasions, someone affected by this skill will hear whispers directly from the immaterium. It's unknown what being is whispering, but it's likely an entity related to the Whisperer's domain in the void.

"The skill sucks, to be honest. Can't you give me some soul skill that focuses on improving my brain or analytical abilities? This is something a psyker faces every day. After all, I'm a researcher assigned to this planet to improve technology and advance scientific knowledge worldwide, not to become some kind of cult leader."

Elysium snorted in displeasure and ignored his soul ring. This crappy thing wasn't that good, and he would just perform gene modification and gene optimization later to improve his mind and body.

After that, Elysium began designing various things in his house to open another branch of technology. He also began visiting the school library to obtain what he needed and expand his knowledge.

That was basically his routine. Wake up from a little sleep, go to school in the morning, eat something from the cafeteria in the Elysium cafe, and come back to research something.

He didn't start anything meaningful this time because the plan wasn't mature enough and he was still weak. The money problem wasn't that big because there were stock exchanges in this place that he could manipulate to make money.

But he still didn't overdo it because it would bring trouble if his account was checked. He simply stacked some cash and traded it, calculating when stocks would rise and fall easily.

In six months, his savings had reached 10 million federation coins in the form of stock value. If he sold it, he could get 10 million in cash to use to build the first part of one machine.

At Red Mountain Academy, Elysium sat in his previous seat, enjoying his day off after working so hard for six months. He even put aside many things and did research on Na'er and Tang Wulin to raise funds for all his machines and laboratories in this world.

He was drinking more than a liter of boba star milk from the cafeteria. After drinking it, he ate the sandwich from his lunchbox and added a little bit of hot sauce, craving it like crazy.

He was still pissed off!!

That fucking whisperer of the void gave him such a useless soul skill; he really wanted to make a neutron bomb and send it to the shroud right now.

"The problem is, this skill is too demanding for the amount of knowledge that he must take to have a considerable effect on the enemy." Elysium sighed softly.

If it were his real body, then there would be no problem with this soul skill. His real body is a genuine rank nine psyker in the federation. And almost a rank ten if not because he doesn't want to make a trip to the immaterium anymore.

But in Elysium's body, just ten seconds and he already had a hallucination and saw thing that a normal person shouldn't see. Thirty seconds and he starts mumbling the knowledge he got without realizing it and the enemy starts to forget where his home was.

One minute, many of strange symbols and the world turns into another world where the sea is blood red above, the sky is sea blue below, and the cities begin to turn upside down. He started seeing some entities from the shroud and began to be able to interact with them.

After this, the enemy would start to forget how to walk and how to speak.

Elysium sighed softly, realizing how useless this soul skill was. The only good news was that he didn't need soul power to activate it. All costs were covered by the Whisperer of the Void and his domain.

"So, Na'er, do you want some?" Elysium offered a tuna sandwich with meat that looked very appetizing. This was directly caught from the sea in Elysium Fortress and was of the highest quality.

The silver-haired girl just stood there, accepting the food Elysium offered, devouring it with a small smile.

They still sometimes met here because it was a pleasant place to sit, and Elysium never moved from there. Every afternoon during meditation class, Elysium would skip class for a while, ignoring Teacher Lin Ximeng's angry glare.

Not for something like getting this little girl's attention, he just thinks this meditation class is a pure waste of time. He just sat there for a couple of hours doing nothing, even though the cultural and soul master class still had something to do.

"How's the taste? This can be considered just a side lunch for me. If you want some more, just take it." Elysium handed a large lunchbox to the side and took another sandwich.

A whole tuna had been sacrificed to make all the sandwiches in this lunchbox. That big, fatty tuna was some of the most delicious this body has ever tasted.

While he had nothing to do, Elysium returned to observing Na'er's behavior, the subject of his sociology experiment, which he was about to resume after a brief delay.

'...'

She sure has a big appetite. Is her stomach a black hole or something?

Elysium shook his head, seeing that the sandwiches in his lunch box were nearly gone. Only one of the sandwiches remained in the last box, and Na'er hadn't touched it, looking embarrassed.

"If you want to eat it, just eat it. I don't have much of an appetite today." Elysium shook his head and handed the last box to the little girl.

His sugar intake had exceeded its limit today, and he didn't want to damage his body with diseases like diabetes or something similar.

More importantly, he wanted to see if soul beasts that transformed into human form retained their previous metabolisms. Or was there some kind of balance created?

This was something worth experimenting with.

Elysium thought this plan was quite good and connected his mind to Eva. "Eva, send some extra-large lunch boxes for this little girl. Give some to Tang Wulin and his family, too."

[As you wish.]

"I'm sorry, I ate it all," Na'er said softly, hiding her blushing face.

She couldn't control herself at all. Elysium food was the most delicious food she'd ever tasted. From the moment she tasted that ice cream, she'd sometimes go to Elysium's and watch him enjoy different foods every day.

Even if she'd restrained herself and wanted to refuse, her instincts and hunger at the aroma of the food Elysium brought made her unable to refuse this man's offerings.

And now, she'd done it again and finished all the food Elysium brought.

"No problem, if you like it, I can prepare more if you want. In fact, you can take this home with you." Elysium touched his storage soul guide bracelet and handed him more than 10 lunchboxes filled with various kinds of meat and fish. Many seafood and various kinds of meat were tender and juicy in that lunchbox.

"Well, tell me how it tastes when you finish it."

Elysium waved his hand and immediately went home. Whatever happened to that teacher Lin Ximeng, he could just show off his spirit ring and say he had meditated all night and that meditating at night was best for him.

Hmm, that plan is feasible.
