Rocco turned right around and walked out, and Salvatore ran after him.
"Hold on, Rocco!" He called him.
Rocco didn't want to get involved, but he stopped anyway. His superior had given what he registered in his head as an order.
Slowly, he turned to face him.
"Let me explain to you, fratello. It's not the way it seems," Salvatore began.
"Nah, we're good. Don't bother." He waved his hand dismissively.
Salvatore's brows knitted together as he stared quizzically at him.
"I think it's better I was the one who saw. You know how Gerald is. He would have made a bigger deal out of it."
"And you're not, why?" His gaze turned suspicious.
"I shared a womb at the same time with Gia. I know her. She's had a crush on you since the very first time we were brought into Neravalle. I'm just surprised you finally noticed her. Honestly it was pathetic the way she would stare at you," he chuckled.
