"Okay, so what happened next?" Valentina asked anyway.
"Well, she would report back to him on Aurora's progress and soon they grew kinda close. Luce had a very soft spot for her. Some might even say he fell for her."
"What?!" Her nose wriggled.
"What?" Elio counterasked.
"Why do you all always say I'm the first woman he truly fell in love with if he loved Isadora?" She pouted.
Elio studied her reaction with laughter in his eyes.
"I said some might say though. I'm not sure what truly was between them. All I know is that two years later, she disappeared."
"Disappeared?"
"Yep. It was just before Daniela started hanging around Luce more often. Maybe she had a hand in her disappearance in the light of recent information. But no one knew where she went. Elisa couldn't find her. Adin himself begged Luce to let it go. So he did."
"Then he wasn't truly in love with her?"
Elio laughed, incredibly fascinated by what she chose to pick from his entire narration.
