Salvatore returned to find Valentina laid on her bed, staring into space.
He sat at the edge of the bed, looking at her, waiting for her to acknowledge his presence.
"Verde?" He called out when she still didn't say a word.
She moved her head towards him. "Hey."
"Are you okay?"
She double blinked.
"You look lost."
Valentina smiled at him. "Don't mind me. What did you want my advice on?"
He took a deep breath, his large hands grabbing his knees, as he buried his head down.
"Salva?"
Her hand reached out to touch his shoulders.
"What is the problem?" She squeezed gently, comforting him.
He raised his head and turned to her. "I think I'm in trouble."
"Did something happen? What happened?" Panic shot through her eyes.
"A wo–girl," he cleared his throat.
"What girl?"
"Gia," he said.
She frowned, and took her hand off his shoulders. "What about Gia?"
"She's being very pushy," he said.
"Pushy? How?"
"She's, you know–" he cleared his throat again.
