"Julien?! Why is it so quiet?" Valentina called out as she drew closer to the place he had directed her to meet up with him.
"If this is one of your jokes please stop it. I've just had to deal with a very unnecessary traffic which still has my head hurting," she laughed softly.
Her voice continued to echo even as she took the turn the direction said she should take.
There was something stuck in the air. A feeling she couldn't describe, and so she chucked it aside.
"No more hide and seek Julien," as she walked in through the door, into the private area. "Ju–" her voice faded into silence when her eyes stumbled on him.
He was tied to a chair and bound with cords that were supposed to be for electrical wiring.
The towel used to wipe off the glass cups, served as a gag over his mouth.
He tried to say something to her, but no sound came out of his mouth.
When it eventually did, it was muffled by the gag over it.
She inhaled subtly, not sharp enough to be picked up on.
