Without waiting to see if his words would create another overly dutiful "good son," he tousled Kakashi's silver hair once more and walked away, leaving the boy standing there, stunned and blushing.
Kakashi touched his hair, still warm from his father's hand.
That kind of closeness—he'd only ever seen it between Guy and his father.
He had once longed for such a bond.
And now he had it.
Even if it felt unfamiliar, Kakashi could feel the weight of his father's deep love.
He remembered every word.

He focused on the barrier team's chakra perception, then reached out.
His fingertip pierced the barrier without triggering a single ripple.
"Haha, just as I thought."
Li Yao grinned. The barrier showed no disturbance, and the barrier team had no idea.
Now, even without Perfect Transformation Jutsu, he could enter and exit any chakra detection barrier at will.
His entire body phased through without a trace.
Up above, Koyuki relaxed.
If Uncle could suppress his chakra fluctuations to fool the detection barrier, then even Konoha's elite sensory shinobi wouldn't be able to detect him.
Chakra sensing worked by reading chakra emissions—much like radar detects radio waves.
Anything with chakra—living or dead—would be picked up.
Chakra was like a magnet, constantly pulsing with energy.

But he could absorb them entirely, so they never leaked.
