With their sights set on Verdanturf Town, Ash and his friends heard at a Pokémon Center that a festival was being held at a nearby amusement park, which was the best place to view the Millennium Comet.
Ash and his friends immediately decided to go join the fun, watch the comet, and have a great time!
Knowing the plot, Ash silently switched out his Pokémon at the Pokémon Center, bringing in his main team.

After grabbing a guide book from the Pokémon Center, Ash and his friends eagerly rushed to where the festival was being held.
In the evening, Ash and his friends arrived on a hillside. "Huh?! Which one is the Millennium Comet?" [?_??] May asked, looking up at the starry sky.
Max was speechless. "Sister, the comet won't be visible until tomorrow!"
"What's the big idea! Why did we have to rush here so fast?!" (?﹏?) May said, disappointed.
"Brock, where is the festival being held?"
Brock held up the guidebook, carefully comparing it to the landscape. "I think we should be getting close!"
Ash and the others quickened their pace and soon arrived at a deserted, barren field.
"There's nothing here!" Max said in surprise.
May said, disbelievingly, "Is this really the right place?"
Did we get scammed? May and Max thought to themselves.
Brock looked at the guidebook again, carefully comparing it. "It can't be wrong! That's strange!"
"Maybe we're just early," Ash suggested. "How about we eat dinner and wait? If nothing shows up, we can get some rest early and still see the Millennium Comet tomorrow."
The group had traveled a long way and hadn't eaten dinner yet. Brock started a fire and cooked a meal. After eating, they waited for a while, and then Ash and the others began to fall asleep. Suddenly, the sound of an engine rumbled in the distance!
Everyone looked over and saw trucks driving onto the empty field.
"Alright! They're here!" Max said, surprised and happy to see the trucks.
Many workers got out of the trucks, and roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and various other rides were quickly set up... It was a mobile amusement park!
Ash and his friends quickly ran toward the amusement park, cheering with joy at the sight of all the rides!
Just then, two more vehicles pulled up. From one of them, a man with purple hair, wearing a white tuxedo, stepped out. He was carrying a box. He set the box down, took out a red handkerchief, and turned it into a black magic wand. The wand lightly tapped the box, and it opened. He then led out a bunch of pink, bouncy balls.
The balls bounced toward the other truck. From it, a woman in a red dress, holding two red fans, came out and fanned the big balls back. Then, the eight pink balls burst at specific locations, and rectangular structures connected to each other, forming a circle. They stretched upwards, and the top began to inflate into a large tent! This must be the magician's stage.
When the first rays of morning sunlight hit the area, the Millennium Comet festival grounds were completely set up, attracting large crowds of people. Ash and his friends were among the first guests. The group split up to play. Ash, with Pikachu, Eevee, and Jigglypuff, played on all the rides and ate all sorts of snacks and ice cream, having the time of their lives.
As the main event, Ash and his friends sat in the large tent, ready to watch the magic show by the great magician Butler. First, he tapped a top hat with his magic wand, and a bunch of Swablu flew out of it!
For the next trick, Butler gently placed his hat on a table and lifted his hands. A Kirlia appeared. Butler then put Kirlia inside a box and covered it with a red cloth. Butler produced his magic wand, and its tip burst into flames. He brought the flames close to the red cloth, and when it caught fire, a pink smoke appeared out of nowhere. As the smoke cleared, Kirlia was gone, and a woman in a red dress, holding a purple crystal, stood in its place. It was a classic "magical transformation" with a beautiful woman! Brock was drooling!
The woman held the purple crystal high, and it suddenly gave off a dazzling light. The crowd thought it was part of the show and began to cheer. Ash, however, knew it was Jirachi!
"...Calling me... I can hear the voice of the stars!" Ash and Max were both stunned. Ash was surprised that he had also heard the voice, while Max was just in shock.
Butler and his female assistant, Diane, introduced themselves, then began to prepare for the next trick.
"I can hear the voice of the stars? Who's talking?" Max asked, looking around in surprise.
He happened to see the crystal in Diane's hands, and he heard the voice again. "It's me... Jirachi..."
At this, Max immediately dropped his popcorn and climbed onto the stage, interrupting Butler and Diane's performance! Ash didn't have time to stop him.
"Little boy, is something wrong?" Diane asked with concern.
Max, being naive, pointed at the crystal and yelled, "I heard a voice! I really did!"
"Oh?" Butler nodded at Diane, as if confirming something. Ash, who had his Aura active, naturally noticed their little gesture.
Afterward, Butler invited Max to assist with a magic trick. He locked Max in a box and had a Dusknoir count to ten. Then, he fired a Hyper Beam, silencing the boy who had discovered their secret. Just kidding! Of course, that's not what happened.
However, this scared May and Brock, who had been envying Max just a second ago! Fortunately, Max returned to Ash and the others, safe and sound.
Just as Butler was announcing the perfect end to the magic show, a mechanical hand suddenly reached out for Ash, trying to grab the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Pikachu, jump up and use Iron Tail!" Ash immediately commanded.
Pikachu jumped up, dodging the mechanical hand, and used Iron Tail to break it.
"Who's there?!" Butler exclaimed in shock!
Two clowns who had been helping Butler were in a hot air balloon. They took off their disguises and said, "Since you asked so nicely... this is the way it is, meow!" "Wobbuffet~"
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Eevee, Swift! Jigglypuff, Dazzling Gleam!" Ash didn't waste any time and launched a full-scale attack!
"Pikachu" "Eevui" "Pudding"
The golden current, stars, and pink light waves quickly sent Team Rocket flying!
"We're blasting off again!" "Wobbuffet! (???)~"
Thanks to Team Rocket's assistance and Max's intervention, Ash and his friends got to know Butler and Diane.
Butler explained Jirachi's situation to Ash and the others: "It's said that Jirachi is a Pokémon that only wakes up once every thousand years to grant wishes. Right now, it's sleeping inside this." The crystal in Diane's hand was Jirachi's form!
"Grant wishes?!" The group was shocked!
"That's so touching, waking up only once every thousand years!" May, being a girl, was more sensitive.
"Jirachi is only active on Earth for seven days after the Millennium Comet appears! It's said that during that time, it chooses a pure-hearted boy who can protect it to be its companion." Butler didn't hesitate to tell Ash and the others the secret to earn their trust, but Ash didn't trust him one bit!
"Companion?! Me?" (⊙o⊙) Max asked, pointing to himself in surprise.
"So, Max was chosen?" May said, surprised, wondering why it wasn't her!
Ash interjected, "Jirachi should be waking up tonight, right?"
"That's right. Jirachi needs a companion to be able to wake up," Butler said, handing the crystal over. "So, Max, you absolutely must be Jirachi's companion!"
"Okay, I understand." Max was excited to take the crystal. This was a mythical Pokémon, something most people would never even get to touch.
"We're counting on you," Butler said with a knowing smile, looking at Max and the crystal. His first step of the plan was a success!
"No problem!" Poor Max was being sold out and was happily counting the money for the person who did it.
"Whoa, is there really a Pokémon inside?" May curiously looked at the crystal, wanting to touch it, but Max quickly pulled it away, not letting her.
This made May angry, and she started trying to hit Max. The two siblings began to chase each other and bicker!
