After Emiya and the dragon maid entered the new world, they appeared in the back of a speeding truck.
The truck's cargo space was empty, except for a spherical container.
Based on that alone, Emiya couldn't tell what kind of world this was.
But when he released his Observation Haki and scanned the surroundings for several kilometers, he detected something interesting.
A massive humanoid weapon.
A humanoid mobile suit.
Whoa.
Wasn't that a Gundam?
Had he actually landed in a world with Gundams?
He quickly realized something was off.
These machines were similar, but not the same as the Gundams he knew.
After carefully scanning them several more times with Observation Haki, Emiya came to a conclusion.
They were mechs, but they weren't Gundams.
They were Knightmares.
Humanoid combat armors from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
Humanoid Autonomous Combat Armored Cavalry.
That meant only one thing.
He had arrived in the world of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
So then.
What was inside the spherical container?
Emiya took two steps forward and opened it.
As expected, a woman sat inside.
She wore a white straitjacket, her long green hair spilling down her shoulders.
C.C.
The female protagonist of Code Geass.
The immortal witch.
A holder of a CODE.
Emiya was very interested in the CODE.
C.C. had originally been an ordinary person.
After becoming a contractor, she gained supernatural abilities.
After obtaining the CODE, she evolved into an immortal witch.
She could recover rapidly from any injury.
She didn't need to eat human flesh.
She wasn't afraid of sunlight.
She was an extremely stable immortal.
The only drawback was her lack of overwhelming supernatural power.
That, too, was a form of balance.
Recently, his luck had been ridiculous.
Immortality kept presenting itself.
The elixir of immortality.
The Eight Cooking Utensils.
And now, an immortal witch.
At that moment, with the container opened, C.C.'s eyes slowly fluttered open.
She looked at Emiya and the dragon maid.
Then she calmly asked,
"Who are you?"
Emiya stepped forward.
"I'm Emiya. I want to make a deal with you."
"A deal?"
C.C. smiled faintly.
"Do you know who I am?"
"Oh?" Emiya smiled back.
"Who are you?"
"I'm a witch."
"A witch?" Emiya looked genuinely shocked.
"You're saying you're a witch?"
C.C. had lived for hundreds of years.
She had seen too many people.
She could tell immediately that his surprise was fake.
"You don't believe me?"
"Can you use magic?" Emiya asked.
"...I can't use magic, but-"
"Then you're not a witch."
Emiya waved his hand dismissively, cutting her off.
"In this era, you call yourself a witch without magic? Don't insult witches, miss."
C.C. fell silent.
After a long pause, she snapped back,
"Since when does a witch need magic? There's no such thing as magic in this world, brat."
Emiya didn't respond.
He clapped his hands.
Magic activated.
A glowing magic circle formed around him, the dragon maid, and C.C.
"...Who are you?" C.C. demanded.
"As you can see, I'm a passing magician," Emiya replied calmly.
"I'm here to make a deal."
"There's really magic in this world?"
"You just saw it."
"It could be advanced technology disguised as magic," C.C. insisted.
Emiya thought about it.
He didn't argue.
"If that's what you think, then sure," he said lightly.
"So, are you willing to make a deal with me?"
"What kind of deal?" C.C. asked.
"I want a Geass."
C.C.'s expression shifted instantly.
"So you do know who I am."
"More or less," Emiya said.
"But don't worry. My interest in Geass and CODE is greater than yours."
Her eyes brightened.
"You want the CODE too?"
Emiya nodded.
"Not only that. If possible, I want to mass-produce it."
"That's impossible," C.C. said flatly.
"There's no such thing as impossible," Emiya replied.
"With enough effort."
C.C. scoffed.
She had founded an entire cult for CODE research.
And it had gone nowhere.
Still, she didn't mind giving him a Geass.
A magician with a Geass might cause something interesting.
"Fine," she said.
"I can give you one now."
"Thank you."
Emiya didn't hesitate.
He stepped forward, hugged her, and kissed her.
At the same time, his hands began to wander.
C.C. immediately pushed him away, her voice icy.
"I didn't give you permission to touch me."
"Sorry," Emiya said apologetically.
"It's a habit. My hands move on their own when I kiss my girlfriend."
"I'm not your girlfriend."
"I know," Emiya replied calmly.
"But if you want to be, I'm not against it."
He smiled.
"You were my teenage goddess, after all."
"How touching," C.C. said with a fake smile.
"You're welcome."
She took a deep breath and suppressed her irritation.
"Don't do anything unnecessary."
"Okay."
Emiya stepped forward again.
He hugged her.
He kissed her.
A bird-shaped sigil appeared on C.C.'s forehead.
A powerful force erupted from her mind and surged into Emiya's.
It tried to overwrite him.
He could have stopped it.
But he didn't.
This was the key.
The force reshaped his mental structure and embedded a new trait.
In an instant, Emiya understood his Geass.
Geass abilities varied widely, but at their core, they all followed one principle.
Fusion.
To understand someone, you fused with their thoughts.
To predict actions, you fused with their intent.
To receive love, you fused with their emotions.
C.C.'s Geass was to be loved.
Lelouch's was absolute command.
Mao's allowed mind reading.
Charles zi Britannia's modified memories.
Marianne's infiltrated souls.
Then there was Shamna.
The Queen of Zilkhstan.
Her Geass activated upon death, rewinding time by several hours.
She used it to secure her nation's survival.
She wanted to revive her country and protect her younger brother.
But it only triggered when she died.
That reminded Emiya of someone else.
Yoshikage Kira.
Killer Queen: Bites the Dust.
Time reversal by one hour.
But Shamna's ability surpassed it.
She could rewind up to nine hours.
And choose the exact point.
One hour.
Two hours.
Three.
Any moment within nine hours.
No wonder she built a country with it.
Everyone who obtained a Geass instantly understood their power.
Emiya was no exception.
His Geass was called-
Time Pause.
Any ability related to time was terrifying.
Almost godlike.
Unfortunately, this Time Pause wasn't absolute.
It was a fake.
He couldn't stop the flow of time itself.
He couldn't freeze the world.
He couldn't stop a region.
He could only stop the time of a specific object.
Or a specific person.
If he stopped Lelouch's time and left him somewhere, a hundred years could pass.
Everyone else would die.
Lelouch would remain frozen.
Unchanged.
If Emiya released it, Lelouch would resume life and age normally.
If he stopped a flower's time, a century later, it would still bloom exactly as before.
That was his Time Pause.
Not real time control.
Selective time suspension.
Strictly speaking, it was closer to Time Stop.
After releasing him, C.C. smiled faintly.
"So? Did you get what you wanted?"
"I did," Emiya replied.
"Just not what I expected."
He paused.
Then nudged the dragon maid beside him.
"Now then," he said casually.
"Give my maid a Geass too."
C.C. frowned.
"Am I just a tool to you?"
Emiya smiled.
He said nothing.
