For the burly man, as long as no enemy spies had infiltrated among them, and no one was under enslavement, he would not interfere with whatever opportunities or backgrounds these youngsters possessed.
…
Before entering the Initial Universe, Luo Fan had already altered the soul of his Space Worm clone to match his true body.
The Mechanical Clan clone had also deliberately adjusted its aura, making it identical to his original self.
Otherwise, the auras of Luo Fan's true body and his two clones would have been completely different.
It was only because all three bodies belonged to the same person that Luo Fan could make the Mechanical Clan clone's aura indistinguishable from his true self's.
If he wanted the Mechanical Clan clone to imitate someone else's aura, however, that was impossible.
Of course, if the Space Worm clone wanted to mimic someone else's aura, that was still doable, he could simply use his innate secret technique, Transformation.
…
After leading the group to the City Lord's Mansion, the black-robed emissary turned toward them and said:
"Chaos City is the only city within the Initial Universe, and it is the holy land of the Human Race."
"And Chaos City possesses three treasures!"
"The first treasure is the Manifest Law, which you have already witnessed."
"It allows you to comprehend the laws more efficiently."
"As for the second treasure…"
The black-robed emissary paused deliberately, selling the moment for suspense.
At this, nearly every genius present looked at him with eyes full of anticipation.
Just the Manifest Law alone could multiply their comprehension efficiency severalfold.
Yet there were still two more treasures, ranked alongside it as part of the Three Treasures of Chaos City!
The emissary then pointed toward the surrounding buildings.
"You've already seen them," he said.
"The rooftops of Chaos City's structures bear countless carvings and writings left behind by powerful beings."
"These were etched during moments of insight, casual expressions of understanding."
"Over the endless years, many powerhouses followed this practice, carving their realizations as they meditated."
"In time, it became a tradition."
"Since these carvings were made spontaneously, they lack structure."
"As such, most of them offer only partial glimpses, fragmented clues without a full system."
"This is why, for most people, these engravings serve at best as reference material."
"But!"
"Across billions of years, among countless carvings of enlightenment, a few possess immense, systematic cultivation value."
At this point, the emissary's expression turned solemn.
He said gravely:
"Within Chaos City stand the fifty-two Chaos Monuments, each containing countless mysterious engravings and symbols."
"These fifty-two Chaos Monuments represent fifty-two great paths of cultivation, each one leading directly to the ultimate peak!"
"If one can fully comprehend a single Chaos Monument, they will become a true super-existence within the universe. Even founding a cosmic kingdom would be effortless."
The crowd of geniuses was utterly shaken.
Founding a cosmic kingdom, that meant reaching the level of a Venerable!
In that instant, all of them felt burning passion ignite in their eyes.
"These fifty-two Chaos Monuments are the second treasure of Chaos City!"
"As for the third treasure…"
"It is described in detail on the stone stele outside the city gates. You can go and see for yourselves."
Excitement rippled through the crowd.
If the first and second treasures were already of such tremendous benefit, the third one surely would not disappoint.
"Fifty-two Chaos Monuments," the emissary continued.
"Every cultivator who enters the Initial Universe has one opportunity to comprehend them. Each person may meditate for seven days."
The hall erupted into uproar.
"Seven days?!"
"Only seven days? How can we comprehend anything in that time?"
"My solitary retreats last longer than that!"
The geniuses were dumbfounded at the time limit.
"The Chaos Monuments are the supreme treasures of our race," the emissary said calmly. "They convey the most direct path to the ultimate laws, far clearer than any secret technique. For you, seven days is enough."
As he spoke, the black-robed emissary led Luo Fan and the others deeper into the mansion.
Soon, they arrived at a wondrous corridor.
On both sides of the corridor's walls hung enormous paintings.
Luo Fan could sense without counting that there were exactly fifty-two of them.
Each painting represented the first image of one of the fifty-two Chaos Monuments.
Every monument consisted of multiple illustrations, some had more, some less, but at least seven each.
"These walls hold fifty-two imprinted paintings," said the emissary.
"Each corresponds to one Chaos Monument. Observe them carefully."
"Though the paintings cannot transmit the true aura of the monuments, they will let you faintly sense it."
"Spend this time studying all fifty-two paintings… then decide which Chaos Monument you wish to comprehend."
"You have half an hour to choose."
With that, he stepped aside at the corridor's entrance.
Luo Fan immediately began moving quickly from one painting to the next.
He allotted about thirty seconds per painting.
Fortunately, he had ten avatars assisting him.
While the avatars could not personally comprehend the laws or meditate on the Chaos Monuments, they could still observe on his behalf, allowing the true body to perceive the imagery through their shared vision.
This time, Luo Fan planned for five avatars and his true self to choose the same monument, while the remaining five would select others to broaden his understanding.
He swiftly proceeded through the corridor, studying each massive painting large enough for many to view together.
The first he examined was the Mother Ancestor Chaos Monument.
Its initial illustration depicted an ancient, towering tree.
Its leaves were withered yellow, falling in countless numbers.
Suspended in midair, over ten thousand leaves drifted gently.
Each falling leaf formed intricate, mysterious patterns upon the ground, every additional leaf enriching the complexity of the design.
From his true body's vision, the Mechanical Clan clone suddenly felt comprehension arise, the great tree seemed to transform into an alchemical mixture, with every leaf subtly altering its properties.
After thirty seconds, Luo Fan shifted to the next painting.
The second was the Illusory Heart Chaos Monument.
At its center were nine grains of sand.
The instant Luo Fan gazed upon them, he sensed within each grain an infinite world.
In the next moment, all light around him vanished, and even time itself seemed to twist.
Only when the Mechanical Clan clone's subroutine reminded him that thirty seconds had passed did Luo Fan finally regain awareness.
