" Hey Rick, I'm in trouble, I need your help.
Rick was sitting besides Ken's the hospital bed, the sun's light cast shadows in the room as a mild breeze blew through the curtains.
A smirk appeared on Rick's face as he got up and started walking towards the door.
" Ren, you need help, with what? " He asked his tone slightly amused before leaving the room.
" I'm in trouble I need your help, it's something I can't say it over the phone. "
Rick didn't reply immediately as he leaned against the wall then he let out a chuckle while covering his mouth, " heh heh. so tell me, how did you it? "
" Huh, what are you talking about? "
" What do you mean by what are you talking about? " Rick said like he was asking the obvious. " I'm talking about that impersonation of course. "
There was no response from the other line and Rick's smirk grew wider, " why so quiet all he sudden, I thought you needed my help "
" Like Ren could ever ask for help like that, " he muttered under his breath before he continued. " I'll give you credit though, the voice sounded just like him. "
Then in a calm tone he instructed, " with a like tweaks here and there you'll manage to fool someone but not me, "
Rick then moved his phone from his left to ear to the right, " try this again and you better be ready to get what's coming for you, " His tone became more serious. " I won't end with just having your life ruined. "
He then cut the call and let out a satisfied breath, " that certainly felt good. " He said with a smile on his face before walking back in the room.
The next day in the office, Principal Kotegawa was flipping through documents on a table and sitting on the other end was Ren.
" I'm surprised you paid me a visit, " She said the tone of her voice a bit playfully. " I thought you forgot about me already, "
' Who could forget about the highest ranking character, that would be the epitome of stupidity, ' he thought as his red eyes studied her.
" What can I do for you? " She asked, she stopped flipping through the document.
" I want to know about the three students who collapsed, " Ren started, his voice sounded demanding.
" And you came directly to me don't you know there is a chain of command, why not go to your teachers first or your president? " She asked in a calculated and sharp voice.
" I came to you directly because you have all the answers, don't you? " Ren declared, his red eyes locked onto hers.
After saying that he thought to himself, ' I wanted to ask Horikita but she's busy with hospital visits and the teachers are almost invincible in my eyes. '
" That's a bold accusation boy, " she tilted her a head as a grin appeared on her fave. " Tell me what lead to that conclusion and I'll answered your questions. "
" A character, I mean a person who sits at the top will watch and know everything that goes down below so obviously you'd have all the answers. " Ren explained his toned neutral.
He then leaned in a bit as he continued with his explanation, " which also got me curious, all these problems in the school could be dealt with easily if you just lifted a finger but you don't, why is that? "
Her expression wavered before returning to a calm one as she looked at Ren.
Then she replied, " don't tell me a couple of collapsing students scared you boy I didn't take you for a bleeding heart, that would be disappointing and boring because I had high hopes for you. "
" Should a principal be saying that? " Ren added.
" I can say it because I'm the principal. " She responded with no hesitation.
Then she rested her head on her intertwined her fingers. " And I don't get involved because I believe adults shouldn't do everything for children, that's how failures are raised. "
" That could work if all adults operated like that, " his eyes moved to the side as he continued, " here is a theory of what I've noticed so far at this school, it's a strange pattern last semester's incident shouldn't have been possible if only students were involved. "
" What are you trying to say? " She asked her eyes narrowing slightly.
" The same things have slowly started to happen, I've noticed students only have nice things to say about teachers which is very strange because most students never like their teachers and with the mysterious collapse of students obviously I bigger power has be involved. "
" And you saying this based on what? "
" Like I said it's just a theory. " Ren added then his head he thought.
' well most of it are just lies but when mixed with some truths and explained well anything can be believable. '
" What a theory, it's interesting and raises a lot of questions but even if what you say you is correct. " Principal Kotegawa's tone became serious and eyes serious. " There is nothing I can do about it. "
Upon hearing her words a smirk appeared on Ren face as his red eyes reflected her face.
Later the day the sun was at it's brightest while Tatsuya was walking down the hallway his eyes wide open and focused, busy looking on the phone in his hands.
The screen showed,
" INFILTRATE THE HEADLESS GANG AND LEARN OF HOW THEY OPERATE, + 200 PTS "
" RECOMMENDED PLAYER: TATSUYA KAGAMI. "
' infiltrate, infiltrate... ' he repeated the word his head. ' what could it mean? wait I know what it means but what could it mean in this situation. '
He then tightened the grip on his phone, ' and most important of all I don't want to this... but I can't back out not after I told Ren I can handle it. '
He then muttered under his breath, " Besides it's for the quest and my wish. "
As he was walking and talking to himself he felt a tug on the sleeve of his shirt.
He then turned his head back and saw the person holding his sleeve.
" Finally, i got tired of shouting to a brick wall. " Aina huffed as she let go of his sleeve.
" Oh, hey I didn't mean to ignore you I just wasn't paying attention. " Tatsuya explained as he put his phone back in his pocket.
" That so, because you just walked right past me idiot. " She mumbled, the words only audible to herself.
" You look pale are you alright, " she said her eyes looking concerned as he eyes studied his face.
" Yeah, I just didn't get enough sleep... I'll be alright. " He replied his voice slightly deep and a bit low.
" Don't tell me the audition is keeping you up at night, is that also why you didn't show up for practice this morning? " She said, her cheerful tone masking her concern.
" Noo... I just had other plans, and the audition had nothing to do it, I've always had trouble when it comes to sleeping. " Tatsuya explained.
" That's surprising, I thought it'd bother you and I'd have to help you cheer up and now you've ruined my plan, " She pouted looking away from him.
Tatsuya let out a forced chuckle before replying, " heh heh, there'll be no need for that. "
Aina then let out a laugh, " how harsh, certainly didn't expect that from you Tats. "
As they walked Horikita was passing by and Tatsuya's gaze followed her, and upon noticing this Aina smile faltered.
" Look at you, you're ogling her. Don't tell me the president is your type. " She teased as a mischievous grin appeared on her poked him with her elbow.
" No, she's 3D. Not exactly my type. " Tatsuya explained.
Aina let out a amused laugh, " somehow I'm not surprised your honesty sure is refreshing. " A bright smile appeared on her face, " well then I'll see later during practice. " She said as she turned around and started walking away.
" Oh I forgot to tell you, " Tatsuya stated as he turned. " I won't be showing up for practice. "
She stopped mid step as she slowly turned back and faced him, " what do you mean? Are you giving it all up after one setback? "
" No it's nothing that complicated, it's just I was never a member of the Drama club. I've always been a member of the literature club. " He explained calmly.
He didn't wait for her response before he added, " Well I'll see you around. " The
n walked away.
Aina didn't say anything she just stood there, her expression unreadable as she watched him walk away.
