By morning, Victor's construction crew was already at Grandma Ophelia's house supervised by Drew while Victor stayed back with the other sirens. He had paid fishermen to get him as many fishes as they could from the river. That was the only time they were allowed in the river because it was Hale property now.
While the fishermen were at work and the constructioners were at work too, Victor put his cooking skills to use. He had asked Lin what would be most efficient for them and she told him bland food only. He drove around town with Nerina and Tyla who refused Victor from leaving without her. They got a few items and Nerina assisted Victor in the kitchen, while Tyla stood by the door staring at Victor as he worked, she found herself drawn to him and as she watched him, a smile curled up at the edge of her lips until Lin walked up to her.
"Why are you staring at him like that?". Lin was clearly irritated.
