I stepped between realities to escape the Final Editor's impossible revelation, and accidentally found something that changed everything.
My shadow-walking skills had evolved since breaking free from our original story. Instead of just moving through darkness, I could now slip between the spaces where decisions made new possibilities. And what I saw there made me gasp.
Every choice we'd made - every time we'd chosen authenticity over control, individuality over archetype - had created new worlds branching out like infinite pathways.
In one branch, we'd accepted the Weaver's perfect stories and everyone was falsely happy. In another, we'd dissolved totally into the collective rebellion and lost ourselves. In a third, we'd never left our original story at all.
