When Jonathan got off the private plane, there was a car reserved for them. It was not very flashy besides its black color, but once inside, the interior showed its quality.
Alexander was driving this time, Doug was in the passenger seat, and Jonathan stayed in the back analyzing the new reports that were coming out every day with much greater frequency than before.
Approximately twenty hours ago, there was the possibility of a quarantine due to a not-so-lethal virus that a supernatural creature released in China.
In South Korea, there was the possibility that there was a dark entity that drove people insane.
In Brazil, there were creatures that traveled beneath the ground and only emerged to devour defenseless people.
The situation in the world was becoming more and more uncontrollable.
One day there was the possibility that they would face an evil whose existence they would not be able to hide from the entire world.
Without a doubt, this was something that would eventually happen.
Jonathan set those thoughts aside, changed his posture, and comfortably began to process the information in order to devise plans.
Without hesitation, he experimented with advanced battle methods to face dark entities and devised military tactics with advanced teams for that purpose.
He was very strong now, but that would not make him win a battle against a hundred demons, so he had the need to rely on his own agents of light. Only in that way could a battle against a demon be won.
"Let me know when we arrive."
"All right!"
…
Reformed Church.
This church had undergone many renovations to the point that there were even guards dressed as cleaners who secretly protected this place.
The surroundings were simple and without many luxuries. Those who came to pray were all those who still believed in God; there were always believers coming and going.
One leaves and another comes, someone will take care of praying for those who do not come.
Right now, only Thomas was there, who was now a full-fledged Exorcist Priest. His clean attire gave him the aura of a true master. Upon meeting Jonathan, he realized that there was no need to be a priest to eliminate the evil of this world. Following Jonathan's training, he could now be himself and fight against evil.
He had been working for several days and finally learned some things and met some of the believers who came here frequently.
Through conversations, he discovered that most of the believers had some connection with Priest Jonathan.
For example, there was a family of bakers who came every morning to pray before opening their shop. For some reason, they were very grateful to Jonathan and always asked if he had arrived.
But because Jonathan was all over the world, he rarely came to the church.
The family of bakers felt a little distressed, but they understood that Jonathan's work was special, so they never expressed anything more than required.
There were also some believers who seemed newly arrived. Although these believers did not seem to want to explain the reasons why they came so frequently to the church, Thomas was still very aware that these believers, who wore decent clothes and seemed very refined, also had a look of respect every time they heard Jonathan mentioned.
Although they did not remain as long as the old believers, their dedication was greater than that of the others.
"I'm afraid not, Priest Jonathan has not returned yet, Mrs. Rodgers. He will return very soon, but he is not here yet." Thomas said this with a smile on his face.
As someone who had been helped by Priest Jonathan, what he liked most was listening to stories about Jonathan with other people.
There was no reason, because it made him happy.
"Good morning, Thomas." A voice was heard inside the church.
Thomas, who was cleaning the pews at the entrance, quickly left what he was doing and looked in that direction.
An elderly man carrying a bag was there, smiling at him.
This was an older man who used to come often. He came many hours a day, so he must have been a retired man from a good job who now dedicated himself to doing the things he truly liked without worry.
"Make yourself comfortable, sir. You're earlier than usual."
"I like to leave home and walk."
Thomas smiled slightly as he saw the elderly man enter with a smile.
As he walked to other areas to clean, Thomas suddenly heard the cry of a child.
"Hello uncle, we're here to visit you!"
Thomas, who had almost finished his work, directed his attention to the group of people who had entered the church.
"Nephew…" Upon recognizing the people who were entering, Thomas stopped what he was doing and walked toward them to greet them.
Precisely thanks to Jonathan's help, he was able to continue calling himself a Priest despite being expelled from the Church for violating his vow.
"Have you come to the city to visit me?"
"Not really, I had to enroll your nephew in the city's school because they say it's the safest." Said Carla, who was Thomas's sister.
"That's incredible, I could take care of all of you as long as you study near the church." Thomas said with a kind smile.
Carla smiled and said, "Come on, we brought you food."
She wanted to see her brother and bring him some food because they had not seen each other in a long time.
"Has that priest you talk so much about still not returned?"
"No, I heard he went to Spain…" Thomas shook his head and walked toward a room where he could eat in peace.
Carla nodded in understanding. She did not know what Jonathan was doing in another country, but he must be a good priest by the way he traveled.
But at the moment Thomas was about to ask how the family was, he saw through a security camera.
She was a teenager who seemed to hesitate about whether to enter the church or not. Her appearance was quite normal; she had short hair, a hoodie, and simple black jeans.
Thomas quickly remembered that the girl making hesitant movements was the girl who had cautiously asked him if Priest Jonathan was in this place.
Carla also noticed the strange behavior of that teenager and asked, "Who is this girl?"
"I don't know. But she has come recently. She should be here for a reason, but she seems too reserved to tell me." Knowing that he was in charge of this place, Thomas stood up. "I'll go and take a look."
…
"They won't think I'm crazy if I tell them about that dream, right?"
"That dream was so real that I even woke up with some wounds…"
Martha remained staring at the entrance of the church for some time without knowing what to do.
She was a girl who did not believe in many things. The new generation that claims to be at the forefront of trends should not be like this, because this is something her peers could laugh at.
She thought the same and had always believed that this world was a scientific world, but the recent events still made her feel strange and frightened.
The dreams she had every night were so real that she could not distinguish between reality and dreams. The constant murmurs in her ears made her feel irritable.
"I have to ask for help…"
