Chapter 166 - 166: The Impossible Race

Leon stepped out of his car and noticed the villagers in the town hadn't dispersed yet.

He couldn't help but feel they were lucky.

If he and his team hadn't moved so fast, one missile from Moses could have wiped them all out.

When Sheriff Hudson asked him about the carnage, Leon's gaze returned to calm detachment.

He said lightly, "They're dead. Their bodies should be burnt beyond recognition."

"What do you mean?" Hudson's heart sank. Something serious had happened.

"Forty cars, fifty motorcycles, and five helicopters… boom. All gone."

"I didn't kill them, so don't look at me like that," Leon added casually.

He pulled out a phone and handed it to Hudson.

"Here, watch this. They turned on each other — can't blame me."

Hudson watched the footage in shock.

On the screen, five helicopters flew in a V-formation.

Thirty-five missiles were fired in unison, streaking toward the convoy.

Even through the video, the desperation of the targets was palpable.

When the missiles hit, the vehicles were completely destroyed.

Hudson sucked in a sharp breath.

Sweat ran down his forehead.

Missiles… used on US soil?

This was practically a terrorist attack — a catastrophic incident.

Fortunately, the enemy turned on each other, preventing another 9/11-scale disaster.

But it was already enough to cause massive public outrage.

"Where did you get this video?" Hudson asked, his words carrying an icy chill.

Leon waved it off casually.

"A friend of mine in the car sent it to me secretly," he said.

Since everyone in the video was dead, the explanation didn't matter.

Hudson stared at Leon for two or three seconds, then nodded gravely.

"We'll investigate this properly. If any terrorists are involved, the FBI and CIA will catch them — even from charred remains.

And if there are others hiding domestically, they'll be found too.

Once Moses' identity is confirmed, the forces will be notified to eliminate him and his crew.

This problem doesn't need to trouble you."

"Also, you can check this one out — the famous killer Guo Da. You've already earned credit," Leon said, patting Hudson on the shoulder.

Leon had been completely reactive in this incident.

Guo Da had started the fight. Leon merely kicked twice, non-lethally.

In short, Leon didn't deliberately kill anyone — he simply responded to provocation.

The sheriff nodded, instructing his men to remove Guo Da's body.

He then gave a deep, measured look at Leon's house before getting into his car.

A seasoned officer knew exactly whom to impress — it was better to wrap up the case quickly than dig too deep and risk trouble.

The next day, the house had miraculously repaired itself, as if the wood had grown back, leaving no trace of the damage.

After the chaos of the previous night, Leon slept until late morning.

After finishing his steak, a muscle car pulled up to his door: a Dodge Warhorse.

It retained the retro design of classic American muscle cars — over five meters long, with a broad hood and sharp waistline.

The body exuded sheer power, reflecting the car's aggressive nature.

A flat intake grille, front splitter, and embedded circular headlights completed its predatory look.

This was Dominic's personal car, arriving with him and a model-like woman — his sister Mia.

She radiated Latin beauty, with deep black eyes and wavy light-brown hair.

Slender features exuded elegance, and her presence was undeniably captivating.

Leon and Dominic had worked together before.

Though there had been friction, it was now in the past.

Dominic respected those who were formidable — and Leon was exactly that.

"Guo Da just died yesterday, and you're already here a few hours later?" Leon teased.

Dominic's intelligence network was sharp; he always knew what happened immediately.

Only someone like Leon, who rose suddenly and silently, could slip past unnoticed.

"Guo Da chose the wrong opponent — his death was deserved," Dominic said calmly.

"But the fact that you escaped Moses' pursuit unharmed…"

"To be honest, I'm shocked. If it were me, I wouldn't have survived.

Taking down one helicopter would be difficult, let alone five helicopters and forty off-road vehicles.

Some cars would have been destroyed, people would have died.

Leon achieved all that without a scratch — truly impressive."

"We're more professional behind the wheel," Leon said with a smile, making way.

"Come in."

They entered, and Leon poured coffee for them.

Americans preferred coffee over tea — Leon wasn't about to serve it.

"That Lykan you handled earlier was impressive, thanks," Leon said lightly.

Dominic and his group had no need for it themselves, but it had fulfilled its promise and helped Leon avoid trouble.

Otherwise, Prince Jordan would have demanded it by now.

"That's our agreement — it's the least we could do," Dominic said, moving to a new topic.

"Actually, the main reason we're here today is…"

"What?" Leon asked, intrigued.

"To invite you to a race… an impossible-to-win race." Dominic's gaze was sharp, intense.

Impossible to win?

Not possible!

If it's a race, there's no such thing as impossible.

Leon had absolute confidence.

"Tell me more," he said, his interest piqued.
