The upheaval in Sin'dorei surprised not only Cenarius but also Archmage Elisande.
"Impossible, absolutely impossible!"
Elisande shook her head frantically, unwilling to believe Gale's words.
Gale cast an Arcane projection, showing Elisande the situation in Sin'dorei. In the image, groups of strange-looking demons were directing Mages to charge a spatial portal. They carried the corpses of various animals, drawing green energy from them.
Arcane magic and an unknown green energy continuously expanded the area of the portal. As the portal grew, larger demons emerged from it.
"This is just one corner of Sin'dorei. If you wish, I can show you the situation of the entire Sin'dorei."
Elisande fell silent. "How could it have become like this?"
Clearly, she still couldn't believe the facts. She knew that Azshara had been summoning demons. However, she thought Azshara was only doing it out of curiosity. The first demon summoned was the Hound God Hakkar, who used his whip to train his hellhounds to be quite human-like, often performing for nobles.
But now, those seemingly harmless hellhounds had become the Mages' nightmare. Any Mage who dared to resist had their magic drained by the hellhounds, then their life force sucked dry by the green energy, becoming nourishment for the portal.
Captain Ravencrest walked in, looking slightly surprised to see Gale. However, he nodded to Gale as a greeting, then reported to Elisande: "Grand Magister, High Priestess Tyrande of the Sisterhood wishes to see you."
"What does she want?" Elisande said irritably.
She hadn't yet recovered from the changes in Sin'dorei and didn't want to see anyone.
Captain Ravencrest: "She's here about that monster."
"Monster?" Gale raised an eyebrow. This must be Broxigar Saurfang.
Captain Ravencrest explained: "Not long ago, we captured a humanoid beast in the wild. He has green skin, fangs, and is exceptionally strong, having knocked down more than a dozen of our men with his bare hands."
"Quite impressive!"
"Indeed, very impressive. If we hadn't used spells, we wouldn't have been able to catch him at all," Captain Ravencrest said. "After bringing him back to Suramar, we interrogated him. But we couldn't understand a word he said. High Priestess Tyrande sympathizes with him, and she came to see Lady Elisande to intercede for this monster."
Gale looked at Elisande. "This is interesting. Why don't you meet High Priestess Tyrande, Your Excellency?"
Elisande felt a surge of annoyance. What a time for this...
Wait, Gale is very goal-oriented. He wouldn't delay rescuing Sin'dorei for such a small matter. So, why does Gale want to see Tyrande? Is he interested in Tyrande, or in that monster?
"Then let Tyrande in!"
Captain Ravencrest nodded and withdrew, returning shortly with a priestess.
Tyrande looked at Gale with surprise. She had met Gale before, back in Cenarius Grove. At that time, she was accompanying the Stormrage brothers as they learned the path of the druid. Later, Illidan Stormrage chose to leave and go to Sin'dorei to study Arcane magic, and she also joined the Sisterhood at the nearby Temple of the Moon, becoming a priestess.
Because of her high talent, Maiev recommended her to the Sisterhood to receive guidance from High Priestess Dyganna.
As Maiev's boyfriend, Tyrande held Gale in great respect, though she felt he was overly mysterious. After bowing to Elisande, she also bowed to Gale in greeting, then spoke: "Your Excellency Elisande, I have come to intercede for the person you have imprisoned. I have detected no hostility in him, only sorrow. Perhaps his appearance is strange, but that should not be a reason for him to be considered a monster."
Elisande looked at Tyrande coldly. "How to govern Suramar is my responsibility. High Priestess Tyrande, are you trying to teach me how to do my job?"
Tyrande: "Your Excellency misunderstands. I only wish to request that you give the prisoner proper treatment. If he is truly guilty, then punish him; if he has committed no crime, please release him."
Elisande looked at Gale, wanting to know his purpose.
Gale said at the opportune moment: "Indeed, that is how it should be. The Kaldorei are a civilized society and should have civilized laws."
Over the years, Gale had significantly influenced the Kaldorei.
In terms of magic, Gale could be said to have founded a school of thought, influencing the casting habits of many Mages. Amidst the prevalence of Arcane and Fire magic, he managed to establish a path for Frost magic.
In military matters, he made many generals aware of the existence of military strategy. The rangers trained in Antu'dara were required to learn how to fight. With these rangers serving as officers, Gale could quickly raise a regular army of tens of thousands.
Culturally, he also instilled advanced ideas in the surrounding Kaldorei, from artistic techniques to behavioral norms. Antu'dara was the first to establish rigorous laws.
Elisande: "Very well, Gale, you shall conduct the trial."
She didn't give Gale a chance to refuse, nor did Gale intend to. He was just wondering how to get Broxigar into his hands, and Elisande handed him this opportunity.
Broxigar was valued by Gale because of his immense strength. As the first mortal to wound Sargeras, he was hailed by players as the God of Warriors. However, Gale didn't believe Broxigar's strength was greater than Huln Highmountain's; his wounding of Sargeras didn't necessarily represent his true power.
At the time, Broxigar threw his axe at Sargeras. And that axe bore Cenarius's blessing, which was the key to wounding Sargeras.
However, this didn't affect Gale's determination to get Broxigar into his hands. In terms of weapon crafting, how could Cenarius compare to him? If not for blessings, could Cenarius create divine artifacts? Clearly impossible.
If Gale created a divine axe for Broxigar, his combat power would definitely be stronger than in history.
Furthermore, Broxigar possessed something else Gale was determined to acquire: his rich combat skills.
The Kaldorei relied too heavily on spells, having a severe weakness in close combat. Once ambushed and engaged in close quarters, it became very dangerous. If he could learn Broxigar's combat techniques, Gale was confident he could build a powerful close-combat army. Then, facing the Burning Legion would be much easier.
An hour later, the trial began. Broxigar was brought out of his cage and escorted to the plaza.
A large crowd of Suramar citizens had already gathered in the plaza, throwing stones at Broxigar and shouting, "Kill this monster!"
"Silence!"
Gale lightly shouted, his voice echoing across the entire plaza, drawing the attention of the Kaldorei.
