'I want to see his grave.' She said, turning to look at Mrs. Ashbluff while Goldie who was busy bickering turn to look at her sharply.
Did she just hear wrongly?
'No Ammy, don't head to her, she is dangerous. You can pray for him anywhere, it is not a must for you to get to his grave stone….
'I would go.' Amethyst interrupted, her gaze still fixed on Mrs. Ashbluff.
'No Ammy, you can't do these to me. I know you feel bad for Nathan but… you've done enough. That woman has cheated you enough. You don't have to sacrifice more things because of Nathan. The dead is gone, you have to live on and stay strong. You are not going anywhere Ammy, you can't leave with a stranger. No.' she finalized, pulling amethyst closer to herself. Her hand moved up and she clean the tears on her right cheek, the left eye still bandaged. She sniff in her tears then pull her into a bone crushing hug.
'That woman is up to no good Amethyst. she tricked you with Nathan to force you to give up on your organ. No test was run. How sure is she that you and Nathan is compatible before asking you to donate your kidney and liver to him? And the eyes__ I've heard of all sort of eye surgery, but I've never seen where someone's eyes was removed for another. So… she tricked you and cheated you. From the very first beginning, your sacrifice is not for Nathan….
'I know.' Amethyst cut in. though she is a chemistry student who knew nothing than the big names of chemicals, she still isn't dumb enough to believe that her sacrifice is truly for Nathan. She had knew from the very first beginning that it is impossible for Nathan alone to have such problems.
Though he was badly injured, there is still nothing wrong with his eyes and he did not have any stomach bleed. Where on earth then does the sudden kidney, liver and eyes failure comes from.'
'So… so you knew.' Goldie stammered, pulling out of the hug.
She wanted to say something, but she couldn't even bring herself to scold her, she was once as foolish as her, ready to do just anything for the sake of the man they love.
Her face screwed up ugly and new tears rushed to her eyes.
'I warned you Amethyst' she mumbled. 'I warned you against those University boys. Most especially when they are rich and crazily handsome. I told you to avoid them. I did.' She proceeded, her face all screwed up worriedly. She didn't blame Amethyst. She too have once fallen for those handsome face. That damn enchanting face that capture all her so and nearly ruined her… or entirely ruined her. Killian's family was pretty powerful while her families are just nouveau riche. It didn't take than few pressure before her family were forced to disown her. She too cling up to hope, believing that everything would be fine as it does in fairytales as long as she did not give up, but she ended up regretting her choice. She should have just leave him voluntarily when his mother say so. Instead of becoming an homeless overnight. But despite all, they still didn't end up together. She didn't get the man she loved at last.
'I'm sorry mom, I am a bad daughter.' Amethyst muttered instead, lowering her head. 'I failed you. I choose to see Nathan…
'Nonsense! You are never getting out of my view. If you dare try to leave, I'll kill myself. You would have to kill me first before getting out of here with that bastard. You are never ever going to get hurt, not when I'm still alive. You won't be a sacrificial lamb, mother will stand with you all through. I know it's hard but there are other guys out there. Even if you choose to become a nun, I won't stop you. But dying because of a Man? HELL NO! not when I'm still alive.' That over dramatic mother's mouth never stops running, her face firm and voice clear.
Yeah, she is never getting out of her view. She would stay on guard. She gave birth to her child and raised her, she won't let any crazy person bully her under her nose. Not when she is still breathing. Even if she die, deep in her grave, she would continue to watch over her and not let anybody harm her.
Amethyst, knowing Goldie is not gonna let her off turn to look at killian. She walked forward and hugged him.
'I'm sorry dad, I wish you have appeared sooner than now. I am a bad daughter and didn't turn out to be the obedient child that you wanted. Please let me see Nathan. Either way, I'm gonna join him anyway.' She said while Goldie sprung to the front, her ears sharp as ever.
'Mom please, if I escape this time, can I survive with just half a liver and a kidney? Who knew what else is wrong with my internal system. Please let me see Nathan before it's too late.'
'Amethyst…
'Mom please, just this last favor.' Her eyes were pleading as she asked, her swollen puppy-dog eye irresistible.
'I'm sorry mom and dad.' She concluded, shot the duo a last glance and turn back to leave.
'Amethyst no!'Goldie screamed and charged forward. It's not like she is gonna give up on her only family. Nothing must happen to Amethyst. As long as she is still alive. Her whole body jerked as she cried, running after Amethyst but a hand pull her to the back and killian hug her from behind.
'I think it's only right to let her go.' He said calmly but….
'Let her go?!' Goldie fired _ her eyes damned angry. 'What did you know you bastard stone man. Let my daughter go and die? You are so stupid and foolish. Leave me alone. If anything happen to my amethyst, I would kill you myself.' She screamed but killian didn't let go of her.
'Are you even human? How dare you tell me to let her go. she is your daughter too, how can you not feel anything. You bastard! I shouldn't have been foolish enough to fall for you back then. I must have been so blind.' She continued yelling, her loud voice deafening.
Damn! Woman, does your throat not hurt?
Seeing that killian still wouldn't let her go no matter what, she force her head down, and bite his arm, grinding her teeth on his flesh while he groaned in pain. He didn't release her and she didn't release him either. Even when she felt a metallic taste stinging her tongue, she didn't stop till he released her, face all screwed up in pain.
Damn he forget she is as crazy as a dog.
'Are you out of your mind Goldie?' he found himself asking.
'Look who is talking, you are the main person that's out of his mind. You dare to sell your daughter off. If anything happen to my Amethyst, I won't spare you.' She cursed, turn away from him and hurry toward Amethyst but…
'Can you really stop her from doing what she wants when her mind is already set on it, Can you? She is just as stubborn as you are, if you were in her shoes, do you want to be stopped. Stopping her from following that woman might be easy, but can you stop her when she decides to hurt herself because of this? This is her choice, can you please respect it?'
