CHAPTER 9{Nathan is dead}
"Pa-Ha pa-ha pa-ha pa-ha pa-ha" Echoes filled the atmosphere, laughter intertwining with the sound of claps as two hands joined together, clapping and laughing mystically.
'What a show.' An old feminine voice said and then, Mrs. Victoria Ashbluff came to view, looking as malicious as ever, damn angry but hiding it beneath her mystical laugh.
Her gaze drifted from Amethyst to her family, then to Gabriel who stood distance away from Amethyst. Dark circles form beneath her eyes and she frown.
'You are not betraying your mother, are you?' she asked, glaring daggers at him. He knew her better than Nathan and he understands every bit of her gesture. Her glare make him step back, shrieking like a cat.
'Oh my god, I'm so scared.' He mumbled loudly, his face turning pale but all of a sudden, he burst out__ laughing loudly like a maniac.
'You have a make a good puppet out of me, have you not?' he sneered, taking couple of steps to the front.
'on the 24th of December, 2024, approximately 2 years ago. The coldness in the street was wild, snow dropping. I could still remember clearly, not blurry. You caught your son and his brother's girlfriend together in bed and you murder them both… with your hands. You killed your son yourself yet have no remorse and till date, everybody believed and feared Nathan that he killed his girlfriend and blood brother when you are the one that should be behind bars, you are the crazy psychopath. You killed your son and is still living freely and happily….' He yelled, taking rapid steps to the front while Victoria stumbled back.
Amethyst's face drain of all colour.
Nathan… he isn't the one who killed his girlfriend and his brother. It was….. His mother!
'You have always treated Nathan nicely but did the opposite to me… just for me to hate Nathan. You did all those to pull us apart to not let us get along, to make us hate each other. You did all that Victoria, what more explains you that the word "Psycho freak?".
'What? You neglected me and make me hate Nathan and now you use me as a dagger to strike him, how much more cruel are you? He suffer a lot for your cause. You killed the woman he loved, you killed his brother, yet you make him take all the blame. He was the kind that was loved by everyone but you ruined him, you ruined his happiness….
'I didn't kill him! That bastard woman did!' Victoria screamed, her nodding negatively like someone whose nut had loosed.
'That bastard girl lured my son to bed just for Nathan to catch them together. She did it intentionally and I was trying to bring justice to my both son. I wanted to kill her right away but I missed target and kill my son. Do you know how much that hurts? I killed my real son because of that lady and the other was abandoned, lonely, criticised … just because of her again. So… I am here to get revenge on Amethyst and I would do anything to get rid of her. I had just took her organ and not her life yet, she would be the one t pay for the death of my both sons!' She yelled angrily, her eyes shooting daggers at Amethyst. She took a step to the front and smiled mischievously while Amethyst stepped back, Goldie holding her hands though scared herself.
'Aren't you surprised that they are two? Won't you ask me who the second dead son is?" she said and stepped forward, tilting her head to the side mystically, her laugh evil.
'Well… the sad news is that….' She hesitated, her smile growing more wicked.
'Nathaniel Ashbluff is DEAD and the Good news is that…. I would send you after him.' She declared while Amethyst's hand dropped.
Her Nathan is dead…. Na.. Nathan... Nathan is dead. Her lips trembled and her fingers fidget, sweaty. She nodded negatively as tears rushed out of her mono eyelid. She clutched her cloth tightly, trying to fight back the storm that is roaring deep within her. She snapped out of her mind as she came to conclusion "Go and Join Nathan" she turn back sharply, averting Goldie's hand away from her shoulders.
She run toward the rooftop to jump and die while killian and Goldie turn back sharply, screaming "AMETHYST". Their loud scream attracted Gabriel and he turn back to look at them. Anything out of his wit to save her? … he is far away from her while amethyst is just step away from the edge of the rooftop, nothing would stop her from going to join Nathan but….
'Don't you wanna see his grave and drop him flowers first?' Victoria asked, folding her arm beneath her breast. Amethyst halted in her steps immediately, panting heavily as though she had run through the whole world without stopping.
'Perhaps you could get the chance to say to him that you are joining him soon. You might even report me to him too. But I think I like your courage. Die voluntarily but if you dare try to run away, I would murder you. You must follow my son. You must die whether voluntarily or not. You must die! You killed him, so you must die!'
'How dare you?! How dare you threaten to kill my daughter. I recorded all that you've said since, I would sue you to the court of law. I would make sure that the whole world see the kind of maniac they had as the first lady. I would get you arrested, don't you know the law…'
'Where was the law when your damned daughter killed my son?! He got into an accident mainly because he wanted to check on her and he left the hospital without full treatment… just to save her and he died because he couldn't complete hi treatment. She is a monster!'
"My daughter didn't, you are the villain, the thief! Psycho freak!' Goldie cursed back at Victoria, angry while Amethyst step to the back, her heart thudding.
Yes, it happened all because of her. She killed him, she killed Nathan. She wanted to apologise to him and appreciate him for all what he had done in her life. He suffered a lot, punished severely for her sake yet he died just like that.
'I want to see his grave.' She said, turning to look at Mrs. Ashbluff while Goldie who was busy bickering turn to look at her sharply.
Did she just hear wrongly?
