A roar from high up in the sky was heard at that time. "What the hell do you dumbasses think you're doing in my city!?!?"
Red rarely showed his true strength, apart from the fact that it called unwelcome attention to him, it was also just plain unnecessary. These were his thoughts on the matter. The fact that some brigands had decided to attack someone special to him however, had pushed him over the edge. Red unleashed the full extent of his mana signature.
"What the hell is that?!?!" The largest of the guards had never seen such an exaggerated amount of mana. "His majesty didn't say anything about this." Red's display of power had left both guards as well as Kitty in a trance.
"Kitty, I'll take over from here, you go guard that girl over there for me." Red said this while descending from his position in the sky. "Yes, sir." Kitty responded while coming to her senses. "Wait!" Kitty stopped in her tracks at Red's command. "What happened to your shoulder?!" "That guy over there grazed me." She said this while pointing at the smaller of the two guards. "I'm sorry for letting down my guard." Kitty bowed when she said this.
A sudden thud made Kitty stand up straight. Red had sent the man flying with a quick punch in the jaw; reaching past where the ceiling would be, the man then plummeted to the ground. Kitty stood with her mouth open, to think she had had trouble fighting the wretch that was now on his back missing most of his teeth. Rosalina was also having trouble understanding what had happened. 'My brother couldn't do that in a thousand years. He's even more dashing than what mother promised.'
"What the hell are you, you damn monster!?!?" The final guard hadn't lost sight of Red since the massive mana signature appeared, but he still failed to reconcile how anyone could move that fast. "You must be the Crown Prince of Uruz." The guard said coming to the realization that his opponent was by no means ordinary. "That's right, I'll make sure you pay for pulling this crap in Uruz." Red said this while wondering why the guard was speaking to him.
"You might be a lot stronger than that other brat, but you're done for." Red simply snickered at this comment. "Laugh while you can, I'm a senior knight Leonorio, they call me the master of wind. No matter how quick your wind mana makes you as soon as you get close I'LL STRIP IT OFF YOU AND RIP YOU TO SHREDS!!!" Leonorio used all his mana to create a shell of wind around him.
"I can definitely tell you've worked hard to learn that spell, it must've taken you years to learn to hijack someone else's wind mana.... but you're out of luck." While he said this, Red had taken a bit of time to charge some mana directly above Leonorio. "It wont work bra...." A sudden light fell down on him, than came a raging clap of thunder. Leonorio's spell had been useless, the man now lay clinging to life forever scarred by lightning.
"You can use lightning spells!!!" Kitty had been awestruck by Red's previous display of power, but to think Red could use lightning... "How are you even more amazing than before?" Lightning mana was the mana that could only be acquired after gaining a complete mastery and understanding of wind mana. This made it incredibly rare, all wind spells paled in comparison to what lightning could do. 'So that's how he sent the other guard flying so fast.'
"Sorry I'm late, let me take a look at your wound." Red had completely lost his mind when he had seen that Kitty had been injured. 'They're lucky it was just a scratch.' Red thought he had gone quite easy on the guards, they were both still alive after all.
"I'm fine, its just a scratch.", "Let me see it come on.", "Nooo.", "What why? I can heal a scratch like that no problem, but I need to touch your shoulder." Using mana to heal needed a different method than what producing an attack spell did, so Red who didn't specialize in healing spells still hadn't completely mastered them. "I said I don't want to." Kitty had exerted herself in her previous battle, so she was worried that she smelled like sweat.
"Stop being stubborn, am I really going to have to heal you forcefully?" At these words, Kitty relented. She knew Red might make things more embarrassing if she didn't let him heal her. "Fine... just keep in mind I just fought three people." Kitty said this while removing her shoulder pad and exposing her injured shoulder. "Yeah yeah, I get it you wouldn't get hurt one on one." Red used both his palms to produce a green aura that started closing Kitty's wound.
"If you don't understand that's fine by me." Red didn't understand, so he wasn't about to ask what Kitty meant by that. 'That's going to be something annoying.' Red figured Kitty had been worried about something pointless.
"Okay, all done." Red smiled while telling Kitty this. "Thank you, I'm sorry for being difficult Red." Kitty had started blushing, she was glad that Red hadn't said she smelled like sweat. "How does it feel having a charming prince at your beck and call?" Red had said this only because he thought it sounded cool. "Well, I guess you can be charming at times." Kitty said this with a meek smile.
"Excuse me. Do you two happen to be dating?" Rosalina had stood by while Red and Kitty completely ignored her. 'This atmosphere isn't really a friendly one is it.' Rosalina had come to Uruz at the behest of her mother Sybil. Sybil had wanted Rosalina to hit it off with Red in the hopes of arranging a marriage. 'I might have to settle for being a second wife.' Rosalina had witnessed just how special Red was, so she was determined to become a part of his life no matter what.
Both Kitty and Red blushed upon hearing these words, Kitty's first instinct was to deny it vehemently, while Red decided to make a joke. "Not at all!!" "Not yet." Both of them answered at the same time. Kitty just stared at Red and punched him in the arm. "Why are you punching me?" "Oh, the genius can't figure out why I punched him, you know what you did." "Kitty." "What?!" "I just saved your life, shouldn't you be swooning all over me and asking for cuddles right now?" "This is why you're single." Red crumpled at this rebuttal, so he decided to leave Kitty alone for now.
"I didn't mean to ignore you lady Rosalina." Red helped her up from her knees while putting on a warm smile. "My name is Red Uruz Alfwar, it's nice to meet you." "It's great to meet you, my prince. Forgive me for asking but how do you know my name?"
"Lady Sybil told me about you when I met her at my birthday party last year. She mentioned your iridescent hair, and that you were quite skilled at support magic." Rosalina blushed. "I'm sorry that I wasn't there for your party my prince..." Red took Rosalina's hand so that she would look at his eyes. "Just call me Red, we're around the same age and our mothers are good friends." Rosalina smiled cutely. "As long as you call me by my name too."
"Sure Rose." Rosalina was visibly shocked. "I'm sorry, it's just that it felt right to call you that..." "It's fine Red, I was pleasantly surprised." Red had thought Rosalina was beautiful from the moment he saw her. "Lady Sybil forgot to mention just how stunning you are though." Rosalina couldn't help but cover her face with her hands at Red's honest compliment. "You really can be charming at times, you're still annoying though." Kitty said jealous of their exchange.
"You inexorable bastard!!!" Azure howled at Red. Red had noticed him standing there for a while, but he hadn't had any killing intent so he had decided to ignore him.
"Who are you?" Red was honestly perplexed at the guy's sudden yelling. "My name is Azure Rosales Kailen, I'm one of the four..." "You're lady Sybil's son aren't you, one of the Four kings, blessed by the god of Heroism?" "Yes... I am." Azure had been surprised by Red acknowledging the fact that he was one of the Four Kings. "I am here to deal with you as the one blessed by my god."
"What, why?" Red had no idea what Azure's problem was. "Your crimes are plenty..." Azure breathed in for what Red knew was going to be an annoying tirade. "First of all, you have made lady Alice worry over you by disappearing from your home in the middle of the night, second, both that girl over there and the knight who both claimed to be your servants laughed at me when I declared myself to be one of the Four Kings, as for your final sin, you did not only harm my guards, but you then went on to flirt with that girl over there while ignoring my sister, to then proceed to flirt with my sister!!!" Azure said this while tightening his fists. "Look, there's a misunderstanding here."
"I'll hear none of that." Azure readied a mass of wind currents behind him. "Rose?" "Yes, Red what is it?" Red looked back at her and said: "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to beat up your brother." Rosalina bowed "I'm sorry for this fool's behavior Red, don't be too hard on him." Red smiled. "I'll do my best."
"You talk about my sins, but where is your honor lord Azure." Red said this coherently, he guessed that this type of tactic would serve better for one blessed by the god of heroism. "What do you mean?" "Well.." Red grabbed his chin. "I've heard the Rosales family specializes in ice magic, but instead you've chosen to use wind against me. How is this any different from the disrespect my servants showed you? Are we not both members of the Four Kings? It's dishonorable to hold back between equals." Azure couldn't help but take Red's words to heart.
"You're right, I'll duel you with my specialty." Just as Azure had finished saying this, Red called forth a massive wave from behind Azure. Azure managed to turn around and freeze the massive wave. "You really are dishonorable, that being said it appears my spells triumph over yours." Azure had turned back to look at Red while smiling smugly.
"That spell wasn't meant to defeat you, merely trap you." Red knew Azure would be able to freeze that amount of water, in using that spell however he had managed to create a barrier that would make it difficult for Azure to move past. Red got down to a running start and relaxed all his muscles, by suddenly hardening his muscles Red would be able to create an explosive dash, by utilizing mana however, that dash could be magnified many times over.
"METEORIC BULL!!" Azure had been unable to dodge what had come next, in an instant a blue bull had materialized around Red, and that bull had later hit him square in the chest. Azure's memory became fuzzy after that. But Christopher and Dominic who had just arrived at the scene from opposing sides had seen how Azure crashed through a massive wall of ice, and then another six walls landing ass first through the glass door of a nearby cafe.
"I guess Red got to him first." Christopher said this with a chuckle. He hadn't expected any less from the man he swore his oath to.
